We stopped here for lunch during a long road trip and were pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty overall. The bacon cheeseburger was flavorful, though the patty itself was quite small and thin. On the flip side, the onion rings were cooked to perfection--crispy and delicious! The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the restroom was clean, which is always appreciated when traveling. Came here with Family (9) place was older, but clean and then care of. Menu is Mexican & American food. Group had selections from both menus. When we got our orders everyone was pleased with why they ordered. Great food and service. Burgers were awesome! Hand cut fries in large amounts with fry sauce. Although the food was acceptable we ran in to a problem with either the owner or staff changing my tip amount on a credit card charge. This happened twice but the first time I didn't keep the receipt. The second time I had the receipt and went to speak with the owner. The owner showed me his receipt with the changed tip amount and for some odd reason the grand total was the same which didn't include the tip. The owner showed no concern and told me to dispute the charges on the credit card. My recommendation is to either not go to this restaurant or be sure to keep a copy of your receipt in case you have to dispute. read more

If you want Mexican food in the Coalville area this is the only spot. I came here for lunch and had a fairly tasty smothered burrito. There was a lot of food for the money. The verde sauce was good but needed more pork The service was well interesting. My buddy and I sat down and the waiter asked if we wanted to split the check or go "boyfriend, girlfriend". We are both males, but whatever. Then the rest of the visit he kept calling me "miss". Finally I gave him a WTF look and he says "I'm just messing around". Really more of a Mexican place than the traditional Polar King Frozen Treats place. Hopefully the name change will better set expectations. Bonus star to being open Sundays for those traveling through. I'm sure the Mexican would be tasty but I didn't get a chance to try on this visit. From the frozen treat side, the menu seems limited. Not a lot of styles or flavors. The softserve was kinda grainy and not super smooth. The fruit flavors were all pumped syrup and no real fruit. None of the shakes were "over the rim: style which is typical of the namesake. However after a long summer drive, it was an oasis in the desert and a welcome spot. Absolutely Horrible. The fries were a soggy mess. But the meat burrito was the worst. They put lettuce and sour cream on the inside and heated it up. When I complained that they served me curdled sour cream, the waitress said "just ask us to leave it out next time". Like I would come back. This was SO GOOD! The burger was a good size, very filling. They put good lettuce on the burgers, not just the shredded iceberg lettuce, so that always makes it better! Really yummy American and Mexican food for cheap! We got the chipotle ranch burgers, and they were so delicious. They filled us up without the grease and tasted really fresh! The best parts of this place are the clean and comfortable bathrooms, and most of all, the kind and friendly staff. They go above and beyond. I had the Thursday special. 3 street tacos and a tamale and a chocolate milkshake. The carnitas tacos were pretty okay as was the tamale. The milkshake was awesome! We live nearby and somehow never tried this place until this evening. The service was outstanding. We were helped by Samara and she was so patient as we ordered nearly everything in sight. The food here is legit. It's a drive-inn, the food is supposed to be fried and delicious and it was. I would have posted a picture but we mowed it all down like the two starving veterans we were. If you're stopping for an ice cream ... this is the closest thing within an hour, so they have a monopoly . The staff wasn't very helpful and it wasn't busy that day ... they need training on making an ice cream cone, my Sox year old did better at Chuck A Rama ... but the day was hot and the ice cream cone as cold and tasty .. soda is watered down and the fries were sub par. But like I said... there is nothing else within an hour .. so it's a win / win read more
