You REALLY need to fix your notification system. I was notified that I had to have an exam. I schedule one show up and they tell me my insurance doesn't cover it until July 1st??? Then WHY didn't you tell me that in the email or the 5 text notifications I got. Very very unprofessional I really hope they fix this and that someone ONLY gets notified until their insurance is active. It can't be rocket science!!!! read more

I have had a GREAT experience at Oak Tree. I am 29 and I decided to get contacts for the first time. I really struggled with it. The office was so patient with me, took me through the training multiple times and never made me feel like a nuisance. The doctor was also very kind and knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and didn't rush me. They also took me through the cost of everything: what was covered under my insurance and what I would pay out of pocket. Vanessa was especially great. She taught me how to put in and take out my contacts several times and even showed me how she puts her contacts in so I could see it in action. I cannot recommend this office enough! read more

The office is colder than the Arctic. I had an appointment for weeks, got multiple annoying reminders in text and email, and showed up on time. Waited for 10 minutes before someone did some testing. Finally asked how far behind is the doctor. She said 20 minutes. She could have said that upon arrival. Oh, that's 20 minutes more. They're an HOUR behind. They're really sorry. Guess I'll be going somewhere else next year. read more

If I could give these professionals here10 stars I would!! My husband and I came here as new patients to both get exams and new glasses. We were pleased they took our VSP insurance. We were immediately greeted with warm smiles and hellos once we walked in and were already impressed at the layout and general vibe inside. Our vision tests were very thorough and they took their time with us and explained each test and were very helpful and patient with any questions we had. The choice of eyewear is ample and they have designer brands as well, with lots of great choices! It really was difficult to choose my frames, they were all so nice! To sum it up, this is the best experience and nicest group of optical care professionals I've ever experienced! We just found our new optometrist and can't be any more pleased! read more

I'm so incredibly upset Dr.Swan retired. She was the absolute best and it's a shame they couldn't find a nicer Optometrist to take over the practice. Dr. Swan was kind and went above and beyond for her patients. I was her patient for years. I started going to her when she was off of Hazel. Last year about 3pm on a Friday afternoon I felt something sharp in my eye. I looked in my eye and could see a small object nearly embedded into my eyeball. I live about 5 minutes from the office. Dr.Swan was not working that day, the other one was. I asked if I could run over before they closed to have her removed the small object from my eye. She told me to go to the ER. I was livid. Fortunately, I've known Dr.Swan for so long, I texted her. She was home and met me over at the office. It took her less than 10 minutes to get the small piece of foil in my eye (have no idea how it got in there) and she flushed my eye. She gave me some sample eye drops to keep it moistened and sent me on my way. Had SHE not been as accommodating, I would have wasted my entire Friday at the ER. I will never go back to this office, now that Dr. Swan has gone. This practice is nothing special anymore as it lost what was special about it. read more

Under new management and Problems! Super rude reception answering the phone on 3/16. The tone of her voice was so bitchy that I told her that she was being rude. Also, We were never informed about the management change, or the doctor change that went from Swan to Oak tree. When I asked about it, I was told an email went out from Dr. Swan. I looked all over my email box and couldn't find anything. I asked her if they were going to send a welcome letter to the patients and she said no. I said thank you and hung up. There are a lot of great optometrist out there who are courteous with their business and appreciate the customer so I called back and canceled our two appointments. Not sure if she was having a really bad day or this is just her stellar personality, but extremely rude and better than persona. I definitely recommend you come by or make an appointment to check out this great Optometrist Dr Swan. You come in to her office and her staff is very friendly, always upbeat and knowledgeable. Some of the staff know a lot of their customers by name when you walk in the door which doesn't happen with big multi doctor offices. I love the personable touch. The office is bright and very inviting and always decorated for the seasons. They offer free coffee while you wait to be called or look around for your glasses. Dr Swan is awesome, she is very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. If something isn't right she will work to fix it until correct. She offers the latest testing to check the healthiness of your eyes. She also offers the latest trend style of glasses and sunglasses with different price ranges to fit your budget. I have watched her business grow from her old location on Hazel which was much smaller to this new bigger location on Fair Oaks Blvd 6 years ago and her customers love her just by what I have seen and heard from people when we have come in over the years. Come check them out for your next optometrist appointment. My family of 5 have been coming to Dr Swan for about 8 years or so. My family uses VSP vision insurance plan which is one of the plans she accepts. I made the mistake one year and went to another doctor that was closer to my work and it wasn't the same and came back to Dr Swan the next year for their friendliness and personal touch her staff and doctor gives you and I will never change again. read more

Dr. Swan is fabulous. The ladies in the office are amazing. Went in today and the short, round and bald gentleman was beyond rude and lacking in knowledge. Doesn't fit the culture of the office that I am accustomed to. In this day and age with glasses so readily available, superior customer service is a must. Loved my experience with Dr. Swan and the entire team at her offices. From the front desk to the techs in the back and the gentleman who helps with placing purchases for prescription eyeglasses, everyone provided excellent customer service and a welcoming attitude. Dr. Swan in particular took extra time to answer all my questions and got in depth when I discussed my concerns. I did not feel rushed, if anything I felt prioritized and listened to which is saying a lot these days. Will most definitely be returning for my annual eye check ups. I was set up to start as a new patient with Swan Family, who originally couldn't get me a prescription appointment for 2 months. A little long of a wait but ok whatever. I had an issue with an eye and they were able to get me in the same day I was booking my prescription appointment though so I went in for a quick appointment to check my eye health. While waiting for that appointment both receptionist women were talking badly about one of the doctors there just back and forth with me sitting right there 5 feet away and not even caring there were patients in the room. Flash forward to yesterday (about a month after that appointment) and had gotten a call from Oak Tree Optometry that said they have an opening. The guy was rude and seemed to pressure me to stay with the business even after I told him I had no idea there was a business change (like someone else said). I told him I didn't know any of the doctors and that I had chosen swan because I looked into them, but decided to just go with the sooner appointment. I decided this morning I didn't want to go with them until I could look into the company more, so I called to cancel my appointment, and the same guy (Anthony) answered the phone and began laughing at me on the phone when I told him I didn't want to keep my appointment and that I had just felt pressured to do so the day prior. I'm not kidding, just flat out laughing at someone on the phone. I told him that was rude and he just made some other nasty comments. So yeah, at minimum they have a receptionist problem. Not sure how their doctors are, but these are the first people you see/talk to and this is the atmosphere they are promoting. Seems toxic read more

I got a piece of something lodged in my eye while cleaning my house. I was in lots of pain and called Dr. Sean's office for help. They worked me in within a few hours and Dr.Swan was able to remove the particle from my eye. My follow up appointment fell on December 24th when the office was closed but Dr. Swan came in on her day off to make sure my eye was healing properly. I will never forget her compassion and skill when I needed it most. read more

Dr. Swan saved my life. I had come down with some kind of conjunctivitis that wasn't improving with antibiotics. I was in immense pain and couldn't see. She was gracious enough to see us at 5pm on a Friday, diagnosed my condition as viral and gave me the appropriate prescription. It hasn't even been 24 hours and I feel 100% better. She was gentle, caring, very professional and well-informed. Her staff are very gracious and helpful and the office is clean and welcoming. I can't recommend her enough.
