I am so glad that I came to this Lens Crafters after a less than stellar experience at the Folsom store. I found the pair of glasses that I was looking for, but alas I have a huge and awkward shaped head. I went back twice to have the glasses adjusted and each time I was greeted with the kindest employees from the front desk to Lynn who was the last employee to assist me in adjusting my glasses. Lynn was extremely professional, kind and non-judgmental. She was so patient with me and her attitude really stood out. To have someone so kind meant a great deal, especially when I was so insecure about the glasses fitting right. Her adjustments did the trick and I am one happy customer. Avoid this Lens Crafters, first of all I have had my glasses less than 6 months and they have been failing apart since the first month. In the first month my lenses were scratched, I take care of my glasses I don't drop them or sent them down incorrectly. Yet they scratched with the lens cloth! Second , the plastic potion of the nose bridge broke off 3 months in, I got Burberry glasses so they weren't cheap, granted insurance covered them but what a waste. Third they wrote my prescription wrong! I've gone to two other glasses stores to get a new pair and both pairs have come out wrong. When looking at my prescription they wrote over one of the numbers idk if it's a 2 an 8 or a 5. Well tbh it's not an 8 because the other stores tried that and I can't see out of that eye lens. Dear LensCrafters Customer Care, I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received from your Sunrise & Madison location. When I called to make an appointment, I simply wanted to confirm whether my insurance would be accepted. The associate who answered, Destiny, refused to look up my information. Instead, she repeatedly asked if I would like to schedule an appointment. When I pressed the issue, she hung up on me. I called back, and this time I spoke with the manager, Amanda. Unfortunately, the conversation quickly turned unprofessional. Rather than addressing my concern, it became a back-and-forth exchange where I felt dismissed. Ultimately, Amanda suggested that I "look up another LensCrafters and take my business elsewhere." This type of service is unacceptable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and professionalism, and I should not be told to take my business elsewhere when I am simply trying to verify coverage. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately, so future customers do not encounter the same treatment. I would never come back here again. 1st the front black lady is very unprofessional, she saw me walk in and took the call first before checking me in. Had me waiting, this is my 2nd back and still haven't gotten a prescription for contacts. This is very inconvenient I have to drive back and fourth multiple appts. This is very frustrating. I just want my prescription I don't want to ever come back here. You also have to wait 30-1hr to be called in. Like why not schedule a time they will actually call you back in?? My wife and I have used this place for Eyewear many times in the past. My wife recently went in to have the lenses replaced on the scratch protection plan originally purchased when the glasses were new. We were advised at the time to make note of the expiration date and to make use of it if needed. We went to do that the other day and were told it had just expired. We were given an incorrect date and we were informed we could not use the plan as it is expired in the system. We brought this to the manager "Linda" to try to get an exception. She was unable to do that, but offered to provide new lenses at a huge discount, along with frames. My wife will now have a backup pair of some very expensive lenses with frames at a notable discount. It was not our fault we were given the wrong expiration date. She knew that and yet found a creative way to make it up to us. Customer service and satisfaction is important, and this manager did us a solid. I was helped by Sara she was super helpful in all aspects especially helping me find a new pair of glasses. I was at this location 3/18/2024. This was an overall 4.5 star experience. 5 out of 5 stars for the doctor. This was the best eye exam I ever had, primarily because she correctly guessed my uncertainty when I didn't respond and would automatically show me the two choices without me having to prompt her every time, like previous doctors. I didn't have to feel bad about asking to see it again over and over again.I also appreciated that the doctor was friendly, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. 4.5 out of 5 stars for the lady that did all the pre-doctor screening tests with me. she legitimately made me cry with laughter over something she said to me during my time with her. She was worried she had been rude and apologized to me but she wasn't rude I really found what she said extremely funny. The only thing she said that wasn't great was when I arrived and she asked me if I had had contacts before and I said no and she told me I signed up for the wrong exam. I corrected her and let her know that I didn't sign up for anything my appointment was made via phone and since I asked for glasses to be made today so I could return to the DMV that the error couldn't have been mine. 4.5 out of 5 stars for Destiny & the lady that stole Destiny's tablet and the other employee who is also a Black Libra female. We all had a good chat and shared lots of laughter. I got my glasses same day (about an hour later) I got 60% off my lenses and 60% off my frames, which I needed, since I am uninsured. The only thing that could have been improved is receiving my glasses sooner when I came back in to pick them up. The libra employee told someone that I was here for my glasses but no one assisted me. A problematic customer was occupying two employees so after waiting 5 minutes, I just interrupted and asked Destiny if I could get my glasses and the other lady, who had previously took her tablet got my glasses for me and I was on my way. read more

This location tried to overcharge us for a pair of glasses by $300. When I questioned her she insisted it was a correct amount of $537 even with our insurance coverage. We left and went to Bliss Eye Assoc. and picked out a comparable frame and after they added our insurance coverage, they only charged us $235. Lenscrafters tried to overcharge us but luckily we left. From the eye exam to choosing frames, it was a terrible experience. There was one employee who went above and beyond named Linda. She was the only good part about the visit. I started with an eye exam. My doctor was the rudest person that I have yet to encounter in a medical "professional". She gave me a diagnosis and referred me to two separate specialists and never explained anything to me. Then got very irritated when I asked that she explain things to me. I then chose frames. I liked them in the store. I made my purchase and left. When it came to pick up my glasses, I had to call them two weeks later to see if they were ready. They told me that they had been ready for over a week and they had left me a voicemail. I verified that I never received a call and I do not have a voicemail set up. So that's a lie. But ok. It ended up that I hated my glasses once I picked them up but I gave them a week just in case. I ended up returning the frames. I went in to exchange them out. But the woman that "helped" me (Jessica) was so rude that I asked for a refund and left. This is the third time that I've done business with this business, but it will be the last. The second time I had a poor experience as well. But I decided to give them another opportunity. Never again. Take your business elsewhere. Hopefully Linda is given a raise for having to put up with working here. read more

Had an appointment on 7/12/24 and called at 10:50am day of to reschedule due to work (needed to cover a shift) and a staff member at that time over the phone said she rescheduled us for the next day 7/13 just before noon and I confirmed the time slot twice and they verified. Did not received any updated reminders I assumed since it was tomorrow I wouldn't receive any. Again, I've never been here. Come to find out at time of appointment they never booked the appointment. Staff member was not apologetic and if a shoulder shrug was an entire bodily reaction, it was that. Blank expression as if the situation inconvenienced them. They offered for me to come in much later. I have a tight schedule and I thought a large company such as this wouldn't have such incompetent workers. Scheduling an appointment is literally one of the basic tasks in that position. This experience does not instill confidence. My family will never attempt this location again. read more

My regular eye Dr Peabody screwed up my prescription then the glasses also. i had my Glaucoma Dr get me the correct prescription. No one could make my glasses before i had to leave for NY..I called Len-crafters at Quail Point.. Melissa and Sonia got it done.. I love this place and used to go there all the time until my eye dr said i should use them to make my glasses... Please is your DR tells you to use them might be a problem.. Lens crafters at Quail Point easy parking other shopping can be done at this center as well.. I had the most amazing experience here yesterday. I came in with a glasses prescription from Kaiser to get some glasses. Btw, I wear contacts too and Kaiser had a 5 week wait to get a prescription for contacts. I ended up ordering my glasses and cancelled my appt with Kaiser and got a same day appt for my contact prescription. A couple hours later I came back to pick up my glasses and the Kaiser prescription was HORRIBLE! I nearly got sick putting the glasses. Kaiser's prescription was so wrong! The doctor at Kaiser had NO IDEA what he was doing. So, when I met with the Dr here at LensCrafters, she also checked my glasses prescription. Well, I ended up leaving with a new pair of glasses with the correct prescription and a great contact prescription. The ladies here were incredibly nice and amazingly accommodating. I work for a non-profit in the area. One of our youth engagement reps from the county passed around information about the OneSight program. When I called, Maria answered the phone. At first, she was nice in telling me they will only honor the program if the client had a prescription in hand but will not honor the eye exam, yet when I called, she had asked me if I wanted to schedule one. When I asked Maria why they won't honor the things in THEIR program, she said because the doctor did not have to and that most people have their prescription because they have Medi-Cal. I pointed out that acceptance into the program was only if folks met the criteria of NOT having vision insurance, and asked her if she knew about the program that her company was offering, she claimed I had an attitude and she didn't like it. She dismissed me to corporate office and when I asked to speak to her manager, she conveniently stated that they were not in, not until tomorrow. When I asked for Maria's name, and the name of the manager., suddenly the manager would not be in for a week or two. Maria clearly is not knowledgeable, and when I asked for someone to speak to in reference, she isolated me in dismissive fashion. I can only imagine how she interacts with people in person. For someone who was excited to refer all of my clients to LensCrafters, after my experience with Maria, or at least while Maria is the face of your company, I will refer people elsewhere. EDIT: I forgot to mention- Five minutes later, Maria called me back, demanding to know who I was and to get my contact information. I told her that was unnecessary as the Arden location gave me the answers to my questions as well as contact information for upper management. She continued to demand who I was and my contact until I asked her not to call me again. read more

After years of being a lenscrafters customer, I took my boyfriend here and it has been horrible! I get the Covid shutdowns have delayed things but lenscrafters in the store, online, and through their customer service has given us the run around for two months! He goes to finally get them yesterday and it's just the lenses ready!? Here's the skinny: 1. Order was placed on 3/8/2020 and PAID In FULL, All $500.39. 2. The following week received a message that glasses were in. Went on Wednesday 3/18/20 to pick them up to find the store hours were changed, went Thursday 3/19/20 to find the store was closed to public. 3. Called the store Friday 3/19/20, spoke to woman there who said she would mail the glasses. We never got them. 4. Around 4/3/20 called customer service and was told they didn't ship to P.o. boxes and gave them the home address. 5. A week after that filled out online form to send glasses as instructed when calling customer service number, never got them. 6. May 1,2020 called customer service to complain about non receiving of product and was told it would be escalated and resolved within 72 business hours. 7. On 5/7/20 she spoke with a very rude and condescending supervisor named Scott who said they could not refund us or send the product because it was already shipped to the store. Not to me, the customer, to the store. We asked for another supervisor and were told one would have to call us back in another 5 business days. He filled out yet another online form and sent one for me to fill out again, which was completed directly after that phone call. We were told the store manager would respond and be able to access the product to see where it is. We never heard from any supervisor either. More lies! 8. 5/7/20 I receive this uncaring and dismissing e-mail from them saying to just wait for the store to open because the store manager didn't respond. When the hell is that?????? 9. 5/18/20 finally get into the store and only the lenses are ready, and another hour and half later actual glasses are produced I just got my new ones in november and I will never go back to lenscrafters after my warranty expires, I will never recommend them, I am no longer a lifelong customer. How do they expect customers to pay hundreds of dollars for a product and be treated like trash? read more

I needed a contact exam and was happy to find LensCrafters had an available appointment. I filled out things online and a nice representative took my insurance and my info and I was on my way. I arrive at the location to see 3 people in front of me. I end up waiting 55 minutes. No one telling me there is a wait or a delay. Just sitting there alone. Finally someone comes up to tell me that VSP is out of network and if I still want to be seen it would be 129 dollars. Wasted my time and disappointed in the level of service. They could have told me on the phone or the hour I was sitting there... will not recommend and will go out of my way to steer other people to alternative places. read more

I purchased sunglasses at an affiliated store telling them I needed to swap out the lenses for prescription. They said it wouldn't be a problem and to take the sunglasses to Lens Crafters and it wouldn't be an issue. I go to this Lenscrafters location. They reiterate that swapping out the lenses for prescription lenses would not be an issue so they go ahead and send it to the lab to be done. I pick up the sunglasses and the lens pops out, but they fix it and it seems okay. I leave with my new prescription sunglasses. Everything I put the sunglasses on, the lenses fall out. I was in the folsom area at the time and so I duck in to see if it's a quick fix. I was informed that prescription lenses should have never gone into this set of frames, but if I return to the store I got then from I should be able to get the lenses they came with and return them as they are supposed to keep lenses for 30 days for this exact reason. I go back to this lenscrafters where I got my prescription sunglasses and they also said the frames would not accommodate prescription lenses. They refund me the cost of the lenses. I ask about the old lenses so I can return them to the affiliated store and they said they toss the lenses. So now I have the frames that I cannot use and they have no lenses. I ask for a refund for the frames and provide them a receipt. They finally agree to this, but have to reach out to regional. They tell me it's approved and I should get a check for the frames in the next few weeks. ...that was a year ago. I've called a couple times, confirmed my mailing address and have never received a return call from the manager about where my check is. I'm still waiting... read more

I went into Lenscrafters in Fair Oaks today to see if they sold eyeglass repair kits. THey didn't, but they took my glasses and repaired them, they even tightened upo the arms so they weren't so loose. When I asked how much, they said "No charge. Have a nice day." Wow! I had purchased a pair of glasses from another Lenscrafter's store that was too large for my face, and that left large indentations on my nose and cheek. I went to this store as an alternative to see what they could do and was helped by Sara. She was fantastic and agreed that the frame was too big and assisted me in finding a frame that better fit my face and needs. She spent plenty of time to ensure that all my needs were met and handled the problem in a very courteous, friendly and professional manner. Plus we had many good laughs during my visit. Came in today for my eye exam, and I was blown away by the amazing customer service by the staff. From the moment I walked into the store, the staff made me feel welcomed. Dr. T was also extremely professional, and knowledgeable. She helped me understand how my eyes are doing. When it was time to purchase my new glasses, I was told my new glasses would be ready in 2-3 hours. I had never had that happen to me before. Mind you I pay out of pocket I use no insurance and I don't care, I really liked the location enough to spend an arm and leg because lens crafters it's self isn't known to be the most cost effective business. More of quality.. and the quality of care is going downhill. I had my eye exam and once I left I noticed that they gave me someone else's perception.. as well as my contact lens trials they gave me where the wrong prescription. So I called to explain the issue I was on hold for a VERY long time to the point I just had to hang up. Did did call me back though, I had them reorder my old brand and the new brand they wanted me to try.... Anyways weeks later I found an old box of contacts that I had and my OLD prescription was stronger than the current one they made me. So I called to figure this out. I noticed 6 really small nicks in the tint so i brought them back and they replaced 1 lens.. they must have used a lens from a different batch. The color difference between the lenses is only noticeable on paper, and I still like my glasses. The associate that helped me provided great service.. until he had to replace the lens. I gave you 5 stars anyway.. but if you guys are wondering why I'm not coming back: some things, when I buy them brand new, I expect them to be perfect. read more
