He told me what was really wrong with my vision and made every effort to make sure I was seeing clearer than before. After my exam, we sat down to pick out styles and he hit the nail right on the head. I showed him some Ray Ban glasses similar to the one I was using and he got me a collection that was so hard to choose from because they were all SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!! As an interior designer this caught me off guard, in a good way, because I didn't expect to be shown so many great options. We ended up with some Calvin Klein glasses, with gold trim and tortoise accents. Some really nice set of glasses. Although he hooked up with transitions, blue light blocking, and anti glare properties, I was having issued with seeing color accurately. As an Interior designer seeing materials in true color is very important! So, I reached out again to see what we can do and he was able to resolve the issue within 30 minutes. I am now waiting to pick up my glasses this coming Monday! Dr. Ng, is not only very observant and a problem solver, he is kind, accommodating, but most of the most honest and down to earth Dr. I have had. I would totally refer him and his optometry to anyone! Thank you Dr. Ng for giving me back a clear picture of the world!!!

So I figured I had scratched my cornea the night before while trying to take my contacts out after I had fallen asleep watching tv on the couch. Called my insurance for the closest optometrist around me. I called about five on the list, but no one could squeeze me in. Until I reached this office, they had me in within the hour! Turns out my eye was ok, but just oxygen deprived and inflamed. I'm a medical student so I spend more than 8 hrs studying and looking at a computer. For the last 2 years my right eye has constantly felt tired and strained. I had a sensation like my right eye was being pulled down! All the other Drs I had gone to kept telling me everything was fine and they made me feel like it was all in my head. Since Dr. Fong was so knowledgeable and thorough, I decided that I would give her a try. So I made an appointment for my annual exam for my glasses and contacts. She was able to get me in that same week, which was today. She spent 1 hr and 15 min with me on my exam. I have worn glasses since the 4th grade and over the 22 years no optometrist has ever spent that much time with me. She even used certain tests that had never been used during my previous exams with other Drs. I was so happy to leave there with my new prescription. Dr.Fong was very patient, she truly cared and listened. She actually believed what I was describing to her was really happening. She was very detail oriented and thorough that I know for sure we figured out my correct prescription!! I definitely recommend her.

It was a fantastic experience and will go back here anytime I need to get more glasses. By far my favorite interactions was with Dani, she had such an eye for what glasses would work for me and her straight forward opinions. I never thought I'd go for the style of glasses I did but I've gotten compliments and they're awesome. 100% would go back to Dani for more glasses.

And I'm a bit more alternative and usually have a black rectangle frame, but she said the best looking ones, the ones that worked with my skin tone, the one that worked with my nose, were the neutral pinkish square frames... after so much consideration, she sold me on them, a brand new look and everything. I had repeatedly asked for blue light filter protection, but still had to call after I left to make sure they had applied this since they never confirmed it with me. Fast forward two weeks and I'm two days away from pick up, I'm ready! I get a call, same person, she can't do the prescription, the lenses and the frames just won't work, they're basically useless. Tells me to come in and we can pick out something else.. at this point though I'm just not coming back. Horrible experience. TLDR; know what you want or they will tell you and still not be able to deliver

The receptionist could care less being there, the doctor didn't listen when I kept saying everything was blurry on my bi- focal (i don't have any issues seeing up close) and even suggested to me I shouldn't use my phone as much because it's just me not adjusting to her prescription. I have a job that requires use of a cell phone, text messages, and emails. That response was a very out-of-touch response. During the exam, she kept asking me which slide was clearer but nothing was changing in the machine. When I commented I can't tell the difference, she got agitated with me and just kept repeating, slide 1 or 2. i have had exams in the past, and something always clicks in the machine so it's clear difference between slides but nothing was happening with this machine. I finally did my best to answer but I think I ended up undermining myself. I was then fitted with a contact lens, given a couple of samples but then told, save the last one for the doctor. So I could wear them 3 days to see if they worked. It gave me a terrible headache and only figured out the adjustment period is actually three weeks (AI taught me that, not the doctor). I paid $150 in contact exam, fitting, and whatever else fees and none of that was discussed with me ahead of time. When I called back to ask questions I was brushed off being told the doctor will explain that to you next time. I don't usually take time to write reviews because I don't honestly think these companies care. I am just so tired Of having to over-advocate for myself every time I go to a doctor because their boredom/arrogance keeps getting in the way.

I've been…read morea patient at Eye Designs Optometry for at least 30 years, and I've never had any issues with the ophthalmologists--the eye exams have always been thorough and professional. Unfortunately, the front office service has gone downhill over the past few years. Because of pricing and the declining service, I stopped purchasing my glasses there. However, after my most recent annual eye exam last month, I decided to give them another try. That turned out to be a mistake. The technician who helped me choose frames didn't listen to what I was looking for and instead kept pushing her personal preferences--mainly designer brands like Gucci and Tom Ford. I clearly explained what I wanted, but she ignored it. I eventually found a frame myself, but the overall experience was so uncomfortable that I left before completing the order. A few days later, I returned and asked for a different technician. I completed my purchase and paid over $500 for my glasses. After waiting about 2 1/2 weeks, I received a notification that they were ready for pickup. When I got there, I discovered the glasses were missing a nose pad that I had specifically requested and paid extra for. When I brought this up, instead of an apology, I was asked, "Let me check if you paid for it." It was clearly on the order and already paid. I was then told to wait for a manager to call me when she returned to work. No one called. I had to follow up myself the next day, and when I finally spoke with the manager, I was given the runaround with no real resolution or accountability. After many years as a loyal patient, this is incredibly disappointing. The lack of customer service, poor communication, and dismissive attitude are unacceptable. I will not be returning. I sincerely hope Dr. Murphy is made aware of how the front office is treating long-time patients.

Not sure what happened to this location, but I'm finally understanding why the yelp score is the…read moreway it is. This location is not customer service centered. Cynthia, the assistant who begins the initial testing, is rude, doesn't explain anything well, and gets irritated when you ask questions regarding what she said or meant - she is very soft spoken and expects you to hear her from across the room and when you don't she won't come to retrieve you, she will simply treat you like garbage. Additionally, she is listening to music with earbuds while she is performing tests, very unprofessional. Cindy, the extremely rude and abrasive optitian doesn't know how to let someone finish a sentence before abruptly cutting them off, nor does she know how to get off her condescending, lazy behind and assist a customer trying to purchase some frames (after asking multiple times for assistance - she never helped) which will unfortunately add to her commission. She also fails miserably to upsell anything, and when she fails, becomes extremely salty. She treats people terribly and has the personality of a parsnip. I hope to never again encounter this shade of a woman. I think it's time to retire, Cindy. AI will be replacing your position soon, anyway. If I didn't need to use my benefits today, I would have walked out and went elsewhere. Additionally, I have a sty. The optometrist was nice enough to recommend an extremely overpriced face mask (which Cindy failed to bring out without me asking her after the optometrist asked her twice), and he told me that unless I had the area treated for 10 minutes at a time that it would be ineffective... that is very strange as AI seems to have a very different opinion, as well as common sense. What a scam lmao. After I get my glasses in 2-3 weeks, I'll never return. The culture of this office is horrible, I feel bad for anyone who walks in here expecting any semblance of customer service of a higher quality than that of Dollar Tree - in fact, Dollar Tree employees could teach them a thing or two. I highly recommend avoiding this horrible establishment.
