My first appointment at Oak Tree Optometry was July 31, and honestly, it was just meh. There was…read morealready a misunderstanding with the front office, followed by an upsell. Even with my insurance--and after bringing my own frame for one pair--I paid more than $800 for two pairs of lenses and the recommended upgrades. So I was appalled when I had to return one pair because the lenses had large, circular, hideous purple reflections from the coating. When I returned them around August 24, the technician told me that because of my insurance, a lower-level coating had been used. Excuse me? Oak Tree upsold me on the coating and took more than $800 from me, then blamed my insurance for the poor-quality product. If the coating was going to be lower quality, that should have been disclosed before I paid for the upgrade. It is now September 14, and I have received no update about my glasses. I also paid approximately $300 for additional eye testing that I initially understood would cost around $40, but I have received no follow-up call or explanation of the results. Between the poor communication, unclear pricing, hideous lenses, and the way the technician handled my concerns, I am completely disappointed. At this point, I would prefer a refund and to take my business elsewhere.

I thought I had a contact stuck in my eyelid and Dr Koshnevis squeezed me in the next day to examine my eye to ensure there was no retained contact and to make sure I didn't scratch my cornea. I will definitely be back next year and every year to come.

I had cataract surgery performed by Dr. K at Bliss Eye Care. The procedure itself was completed…read morewithout immediate complications, and the office environment was clean and professional. Throughout the process, I felt significant pressure to purchase upgraded lenses and laser procedures, with repeated suggestions that the insurance-covered lens would result in poorer outcomes. This made the experience feel more like a sales transaction than a medical consultation about my vision. Following surgery, I have continued to experience persistent blurred and double vision. During follow-up visits, Dr. K attributed these issues to my prior LASIK surgery, however this potential complication or limitation was not discussed with me prior to cataract surgery. What was most disappointing is that, after identifying prior LASIK as the cause, no solution or treatment plan was offered. I was ultimately referred back to my regular eye doctor to obtain glasses, leaving me feeling that my concerns were no longer being addressed by the surgeon who performed the procedure. Cataract surgery is a major medical decision, and patients deserve transparent counseling, balanced recommendations, and continued care when outcomes are not as expected. Unfortunately, my experience fell short in those areas.

I recently took my granddaughter for an eye appointment with Dr. Camille Weissenberg, and I was…read moreincredibly impressed with the entire experience. From the moment we met her, Dr. Weissenberg was warm, friendly, patient, and genuinely attentive. The eye exam was very thorough, and she took the time to clearly explain my granddaughter's vision, what she was seeing during the exam, and the different options available to her. She discussed both glasses and contact lenses in a way that was easy to understand and never made us feel rushed. My granddaughter was especially interested in trying contacts, and I really appreciated the amount of time and personal attention Dr. Weissenberg gave her. She carefully explained the different contact lens options and provided extensive hands-on help teaching her how to insert and remove them properly. Rather than having us immediately order one particular brand, she sent my granddaughter home with two different types of lenses to try so she could determine which was the most comfortable and easiest for her to wear before making a decision. I thought that was an excellent approach and such a thoughtful service. It certainly makes more sense than ordering contacts first and then discovering they are uncomfortable or difficult to wear. What stood out most was the combination of professionalism, patience, and genuine care. It felt like Dr. Weissenberg wanted to make sure my granddaughter was comfortable, informed, and confident with her choice rather than simply rushing through an appointment. We had such a positive experience, and I would highly recommend Dr. Camille Weissenberg and her office to anyone looking for thorough eye care and exceptional customer service. It is always refreshing to find a doctor who takes the time to make a patient feel comfortable and well cared for.
