One of our go to for our weekend breakfast outings as a family. We always get the same thing coffee which is always hot and never ending. I love the Italiano omelette it comes with three pancakes but I always just get tomato slices and a side of their mushroom béchamel and Swiss cheese. My husband gets the mushroom omelette with potatoes cakes. These are French omelettes so the mix the egg yolk into egg whites, then fold in the ingredients and bake in a small cast iron skillet. The wait is long so don't go and expect to be seated right away about 30-1hour and parking is not the best and hard to come by. The view by the widows are great though. read more

First, this would be an excellent review but let's just say our server was a little distracted. We had been to the restaurant in Sequim and were expecting the same for the restaurant here. The food was good, it would of been excellent had it arrived on time and hot, but the server was mediocre. She was not very friendly and she seemed to be more concerned with talking with her friends then in serving customers. In fact, we saw her sitting down in a booth to talk to someone, totally ignoring the other customers. Have to say I prefer the restaurant in Sequim. Everything was pretty unappealing except for my strawberry crepes - they were the only decent thing we ordered. Pro tip: Whatever time you wan to eat, subtract an hour. Come put in your name, go shopping for 45 minutes and return to get your name called. It's a much more pleasant experience if you go with the flow. Had my share of sweet and savory, got the Eggs Nicole with chocolate chip pancakes and a side of bacon and Viennese to boot. The melted butter on the delicate pancakes with the tiniest chocolate chips was heaven on earth ~ best pancakes I've ever eaten. The thick cut bacon was crunchy and full of flavor. We ordered the italian scramble and blueberry cobbler french toast both were exquisite. Delicious medley of endless flavor for both dishes. $47 total for both dishes, coffee, and orange juice. Amazing eggs Benedict! Their hollandaise was delicious and very creamy. They even accommodated my husband's request of no meat on the eggs Benedict and added some avocado and other veggies on it for him. The potato pancake side with the eggs was delicious as well. Their bacon is a must try and the freshly squeezed OJ mimosa was very refreshing and paired nicely with our brunch. You can even order drinks while you wait to be seated. We came on a weekday before 9am so there was no wait. By the time we got out at 10am, there was a whole bunch of people waiting. Love the whole ambience of the place. It was busy but not chaotic. Service is 5 star. Our server Brittney was very attentive and provided us with suggestions. The food was a tad above most breakfast places. We decided to try the Oak Table Cafe after years of avoiding it. I was hoping it was like an upscale Elmer's Restaurant. It appears the menu is mostly breakfast offerings with some sandwiches. The restaurant smells nice: cinnamon, powdered sugar, and maple syrup. The wait is thirty minutes. You cannot reserve a table. We sat outside. The drink prices are outrageously inflated. Well coffee and juice has been priced at four-fifty. This is unacceptable for any restaurant and most upscale restaurants do not do this. Unfortunately, this is not an upscale restaurant. Water was free, but I braced myself to be charged four-fifty for a refill. I ordered an Eggs Benedict. The server warned me about the side. It seems that sugar and cinnamon are added to some kind of potato concoction, a bizarre companion to Eggs Benedict. I opted for the fried potatoes. I don't recall if these were extra. It would not surprise me if there was an extra charge, frankly. The best Benedict I've had around here was from Chef Walter Santschi. Following that is The Green Light, Elmer's, and (bizarrely) the Shari's chain's avocado version. There is, however, a sharp quality decline in that list. I'd put The Oak Table's near the bottom, in between Elmer's and Shari's. It was okay, but the Hollandaise sauce was clearly a low-grade frozen or canned pre-prepared variety. It was pretty gloopy and tasteless. The eggs were fine. The muffin was tough and probably came from the nearby Costco. The ham was too tough to be cut with a flat-blade knife, and was charred at the edges. The potatoes were bland and heavy. The bacon in them was charred and dry. My companion had Pigs in a Blanket. This was apparently cooked better than the Benedict, but nothing to write home about. Service was fine. I appreciate the warning about the side dish. It seems to be worse than the one I had, which was edible. It was fine, but I don't understand the appeal. This is not a place with great or even really good food. Choose the Yacht Club Broiler or The Green Light instead. read more

The quiche at Oak Table has been great in the past, but I've been there twice now and it was horrible. Way too much outer crust, not fully cooked on one visit. Recently, the bottom crust was burnt with all the bacon stuck to it. Again, crust so thick I couldn't cut it with a knife. Just not a good experience. Also, our server never came back to check on us. Delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the best corn beef and hash of my LIFE. Huge chunks of beef, lots of them over crispy potatoes. Eggs cooked extra hard. So good, I'm a 240 lbs but took leftovers home. Highly recommend, expect a wait, worth it. Parking is limited on weekends(only breakfast served), get there early closes at 3. 5 stars for their breakfast quality. 4 stars is due to the parking issues in this location. If you don't get a parking spot on the hill, do not park by the apartments. The food: my wife and I go here pretty regularly. We aren't from here originally and we noticed real quick that on this side of the water it's a real struggle to get quality food. Here was the exception. Every time we go, the food is of consistent quality. Even when they're jam packed, our food comes pretty fast. While some of their menu items may be hit or miss, just stick to the bulk of their menu and you'll do fine. If anything, it's worth going just for their huge apple pancake (more like a pie!) and a side of their bacon. read more

Came here for some brunch with friends on Saturday morning during these weird COVID times and, first off, I just want to mention that these guys handled the whole situation very well. We did have a 15 minute or so wait before check-in, but there is plenty of seating and room outside to enjoy the beautiful nature before dining. Once we were seated, our waitress immediately came out and took exceptional care of us. She was very kind, hospitable, and professional, and took our orders in no time. We had a party of 6 and each of us got our own dishes. I got the mushroom omelette with potato pancakes, and the apple pancakes- which I end up splitting with everyone. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food was amazing, the service was astounding, the coffee was great. We love Oak Table Cafe. You will get lost in the menu, there are so many unique selections to choose from. My favorite sweet dish has to be the blueberry cobbler French toast and my favorite savory dish is the eggs Nicole. The apple pancake is worth the try but make sure you have a big appetite because it is huge. I personally enjoy their regular pancakes better, the apple pancake is a soufflé so the eggy taste is a little overpowering for me. My husband loves it though, so I think it just depends on your preference. We've been here several times and I can say we've never had anything that was bad so I'm confident you'll find something you enjoy. My biggest complaint would be the parking and how busy they are, but you can't really blame them for being busy when the food is so delicious! We only come if we are prepared to get to the restaurant no later than 8 because we know how crazy their wait times get.
