Went to oak street with some yelpers this Saturday and had a blast! Tons of different beers, awesome atmosphere and a super diverse crowd of people. To top it off, they also have $8 shots of my favorite Tequila, Don Julio 1942! On the downside, most of the seating is outside and there are only a few fans! We ended up there at night as it was KIND OF cooling off so it all worked out. The bottom line is that this is an AWESOME spot. read more

This place is a Denton staple. Beer, beer and more beer. They take pride in their beer and always have an awesome selection on tap. The events are fantastic and the new beers that they occasionally feature are just enough to keep us regulars entertained and never bored. The bartenders are friendly and the crowd is great. The outside area is ample, it's well lit, and always relatively clean. Denton is a weird place - it's filled with cliques and hipsters and the usual college rowdiness, but Oak Street seems to dissolve all of that. I've been to Oak St. dozens of times. We were there when the doors opened and pretty much every anniversary. Great selection of IPAs and sours. As a business, you can see they are always doing something to improve the place. Will always recommend this place as a great place for a large group of friends to hang out for a beer. read more

I can't get enough of OSDH&CP. Anytime I have friends from out of town visit, they are always amazed by the selection of 48 draft beers, the 70+ in bottles, and the great prices. This place is fantastic! Not only do they have a great brew selection, but the ambiance is cool and chill. I love the outdoor seating but inside it is vintage and uncrowded too. Great local joint to enjoy some suds. More than forty on tap as I recall. Has a nice bar selection as well if you want a stiff drink. Reasonably priced Happy Hour. Can get crowded if the weather is nice and near the weekends. Staff is helpful if you get confused or want direction on the huge chalkboard beer menu. read more

Fantastic 50+ beer selection, its neat that dogs are allowed on leashes outside. Has a good selection of board games inside, including Cards Against Humanity. Outside theres a ping pong table and beanbag toss. I love that they are smoke free (except beer garden), as smoke ruins craft beer! read more

There are many events ranging from social runs, charity events, and movie nights. OSDH offers great specials depending on the day of the week. I get it, and I like it....just don't love it. The menu board was incorrect and not updated. The decor is run down and looks like it should have fleas, but that's cool. The staff member who helped us wasn't that knowledgeable. The Audacity beer really kinda sucked---but 512 Pecan Porter is delicious. Good for groups and such. read more

There's probably no better place in little d to quaff a delicious craft beer, craft bourbon or cocktail with your favorite canine buddy. You can even get a call-in food order delivered from Mellow Mushroom or Weinbergers Deli so I just don't see how you can get much better than this. The bar service can get a little backed up when the collegiate-class jump the line to order their cosmo-whatevers or lemon drops - so, fair warning - if it's a nice day you might want to order two at a time. Best bar in denton. The bar is inside of an old house. You can't smoke in the house, but the back is a huge backyard fences in with a low fence. Great music that's not too loud. Lots of furniture to hang out with friends. Great place to go in groups. not so good to go alone unless you know everyone in denton. There is also a second bar in the back as well. read more

This place is a great place to have a beer in Denton. Its funky, eclectic decor and mismatched seating make this place the perfect location to sit and drink beer (or a cocktail - I did see liquor bottles) with a friend. They have a large outdoor seating area and a big chalkboard of available beers. My friend and I drank a flight or sampler of six local beers for $8, which I enjoyed immensely. It's a great idea to try several beers at once and decide which one(s) you want to continue drinking. The bartender on duty when my friend and I arrived was relaxed, friendly, and willing to help. He even told us that we were free to bring or order food to eat with our beers. This place does NOT sell food but is within walking distance of several food establishments near the Square. read more
