What a difference a few weeks makes. The greens were in great condition. The rough is rough and the fairways are nice. Great place for a quick nine holes.

We had a great time playing miniature golf here. There was no one actually working at the mini golf area but had signs for us to go inside to pay. It was easy enough. We got our clubs, balls, and score card and started playing. The course was kept clean and tidy but other than that, there's not much excitement here. It's really small and it felt cramped. The courses are really short and the waterfall was not even turned on, even on a Saturday. My kids didn't mind it being small or the fact that the waterfall was not turned on. They still had fun. They have a bunch of benches and picnic tables everywhere along the area. However, the tables were all flipped over and the benches had cones on there telling you not to sit there due to COVID. We went towards the beginning of the day and there was already a big group of people ready to get started. It was easy enough to avoid people but I was surprised how small the course was.

This review is for the 9 hole par 3. Just a little on the high side at $20 and $4.50 for a pull cart is a little expensive IMO. It is Fairfax County so I guess they cater to the local crowd who make big bucks living in the County. I played with two other people on a sunny Sat June afternoon. Could not have been a better day for golf. By & large the course was in very good condition. The tee boxes on some of the holes could be upgraded. Number 7 and number 9 are over water and with pin placement , can be quite challenging. They have a double decker driving range so you can stay dry even in the weather. They have the County sponsored Everybody Golf School as well for those who want local lessons. Overall not too bad for a public par 3.

This review is about PGA Professional Soo Young Lee. I have worked with him twice and can't say enough about how great he is as an instructor. I've played for about seven years and have worked with many coaches. I have not been able to take what they've taught me and play well on the course. Working with Coach Lee he has you work on the most important thing which is solid contact and compressing the ball. There are no tricks or items used in order to get this, we just repeat solid contact with the ground and getting the tempo right. Easier said than done, but he has my ball flight going in the right direction and on the right trajectory. If you want to improve your game, I highly recommend Mr. Lee. You can reach him at MarvinLeeSY@yahoo.com.

Good practice area. Gets kind of busy whenever it's a good golf day but figures. Facility is clean and well kept.

Plenty of spots at the driving range. Three are so few in my area. The executive par three course can be challenging.

My kids have developed an interest in golf, so we took them to go through a bucket at the driving range.

4 stars for a solid Virginia golf spot…read more As somebody who lives in Arlington and used to live in the District, trying to find spots that satisfy all my golf practice needs isn't easy. You have places like East Potomac that have a driving range and both 9 hole and 18 hole courses, but they are all often packed. You have smaller 9-hole courses like Jefferson District Golf Course or some of the Maryland public courses, but many of them either don't have a driving range or are pretty far to reach for someone in my area. You could play 18 holes, but that is really only a weekend activity for most working people since you either have to be up at 5am or be willing to go at least 4 hours for a round. Plus, playing 18 isn't really practice (especially for the prices involved). All of this is to say that the Virginia Golf Center, located near the intersection of Clifton and Braddock Rd, is a spot that can satisfy a lot of my golf practice needs. The biggest need is for a Toptracer, which is a tracking system that gives you information on things like distance during your driving range experience. The only other spots even remotely nearby with a Toptracer are either places for fittings or Topgolf or equivalent venues. At Virginia Golf Center, I can just pay something like $10 for an hour with a Toptracer and work on my game. It would be great if could use grass rather than the mats, but that just seems to be the case with most public driving ranges in the area and it isn't easy to find other ranges that are open all the way until 10pm and can regrip your clubs for a few bucks while you are out on the range. If you are looking for more than just a driving range, this spot also has a 9 hole par 3 course. While the course is pretty basic, the fact that you can pretty much just walk up and play anytime is pretty great for anyone looking to work on their short game. For just a few bucks, you can get in a quick 9 in a little over an hour. Overall, Virginia Golf Center is a great spot for Northern Virginia/DC people who want to work on their game without spending tons of their time and/or money.

Gotta love the leeches. Went here about two years ago and finally remembered to write a review. The…read morereason we went here is because of a Groupon and honestly, it's fun to play with your friends but if you're any decent at golf don't spend your money on the course. My friend hit his ball into the mud by the water and so many leeches were everywhere. The mowers were going as we were playing and constantly had to pause to let them finish an area as well as let others pass because the mowers slowed us down a little. overall fun, just REMEBER BUG SPRAY and stay away from all the stagnant water which is all over the course.

TWG has something for every player when it comes to club heads, shafts, and grips, and they will make every effort to get you into the right clubs for your swing and playstyle, and their top of the line simulators and equipment will confirm that the clubs are the right ones for you. They even have gear to analyze your putting stroke to make sure you aren't missing those three foot putts anymore! You can work with one of their experts in the individual bays to analyze or correct anything you feel may be lacking with your mechanics, or you can play a virtual round of golf when the weather gets a bit too cold to do the real thing. In particular, I am eager to continue playing and developing my game over the winter with TWG as my spot of choice. They are extremely knowledgeable about the game and eager to help you reach your goals when playing golf. I will be recommending TWG to my friends and family that play, and will continue coming back in the future.

In my experience, the first bay has a lot of trouble reading club data even after applying the stickers to the face. As soon as I went down in loft from my wedges, that data was never picked up. In the third bay, however, it read that data around 80% of the time with stickers. The third bay is closer to the window, so I think the natural light helps the camera pick up the clubhead better. The second bay is the one that James has been using for club fitting and lessons. They use Trackman there. The 4th bay is also GC3 as well, but I haven't hit in that spot yet. Golf balls are tour balls, but are a little beat up. I suggest bringing in your own. The screen you hit into is very close to the mat, so expect golf balls to fly back and out into the shop regularly. James put down a pool noodle training aid behind my bay to help, but know it'll happen. The shop also has a short putting green with SAM Putt Lab to help you get fit. There's a small sitting area and some golf equipment as well. Definitely a place I will regularly visit when I can't get outside!
