Really cool place to hang out. Family friendly, adult beverages were great! Food selection was decent. Doesn't really have a lot of shade in the "eating area". Parking is in the garage where Wegmans is (2 hrs or less is free). It did start to rain so they gave us a rain check which was cool! Looking forward to visiting again.

Sky high mini golf! 11 stories up on the rooftop of the capital one building is one of the most unique mini golf experiences you'll ever find. Remember that you're high up so it gets breezy and will be chillier than at street level but this makes it perfect in the Va heat. The Perch has a food court, bars, and plenty of open space. It makes this venue perfect for corporate outings, dates, meeting up with friends, making new friends, really anything social. It can get crowded but relax and enjoy game, it's not a race.

Great experience! So cool to be mini golfing surrounded by the high rises. They do a good job with the grass and shrubbery along each hole so it's not just concrete. Awesome options of drinks and hangout places outside of the mini golf too! Loved the biergarten with a screen setup playing the TV. Cornhole going. Could get a bite to eat. Can park right below Perch Putt with the first 2 hours free!

Went here last night after work and it was poppin at 6:15pm! Star Biergarten is right next to here as well which is absolutely packed. Free 2 hour parking in the garage underneath (attached to Wegmans). There's a machine at the top where the elevator is so that you can pay before going back to your car if you're there longer than 2 hours. Virgin drinks aren't all that, they were alright: my friend didn't like her pina colada drink, and I didn't really care for the Lava Flow (strawberry daqauri and lemonade) until it melted and the strawberry definitely helped. My friend didn't like her chicken tacos from the food truck and felt the portion was small for the price. I ordered a taco salad (no protein, it came with beans in it), and I felt it was a great portion, lots of textures and a decent chipotle ranch sauce for the price, so I'd recommend that. The mini golf course is quick to get through - took the 2 of us less than an hour. If you have a group of 4 maybe it'll take an hour and a half max. I wish there was more decor/effort put into each hole: there was only one hole, maybe 16 or 17 I think that had some lights, but none of them were creative, no windmills or anything else to make it more fun. The views are nice, there's swings right outside near the Perch lawn, and it's a nice spacious area to enjoy. It's decently priced as well, about $36 for 2 people.

Three stars for the actual mini golf course; four for the overall rooftop vibe and gardens. This was a different thing to do and we loved our evening on the rooftop and enjoyed all of the different vendors. Mini golf was fine but it was crowded on a Saturday afternoon and we had to wait several minutes between holes. We had fun, but the course itself isn't very interesting except for some rocks and dips--not your typical place that might have a giant giraffe or replica monuments. Loved the pollinator gardens! Bring your sunblock because there is not much shade. We got some drinks at the bar, but the frozen drinks both melted right away and were too sweet.

I've heard of this place and finally made the trip. It's miniature golf what makes this place special? Let me tell you!! This is the best kept course I've ever experienced. It was fun because it was beautiful, high up, and different. I can't wait to go again. A little pricey but so worth the experience. It's an entire vibe with the food trucks and places to chill.

We had a lot of fun! It was only $15 a person and for an extra $5 you can take home a little golf ball. They let you pick a design as well. My boyfriend got a dead pool one and I got baby Yoda. It's located on the top floor 11th of the Wegmans and near capital one. There's food trucks, but it's not included in the price of admission. It's an open roof top spot so it gets very windy! Dress warm for night time hangouts. They have tons of drink options. I would recommend this spot, especially during the warmer months. Book in advance because they get booked up fast!

Sure you've heard of a rooftop bar, but have you heard of a rooftop MINI GOLF COURSE (and a bar!)? On top of the Capital One Hall is home to one of the coolest Mini Golf Courses in NoVA~ Perch Putt! Currently for October they have their Halloween decorations up, there's food trucks and a drink bar serving both alcoholic & non-alcohoic drinks, so it's definitely fun for all ages~ Take the kids, take a group of friends, take a date, have a fun time, let's hope you do better than me on the course... Pro-tips: Make sure you do reservations ahead of time on their website! Perch Putt will be closing for the season at the end of November, so be sure to check it out before then~!

What a great experience! I took my parents here for their first official outing in the VA. It was the perfect weather, perfect ambiance, and a beautiful set up. Perch putt is located on the 11th floor (the rooftop). Their are 18 holes, approximately three food trucks, one bar, and seat swings to simply relax and wait. The cost is very affordable ($15 per person). It's kid friendly and dog friendly and there is plenty of parking in the garage (I believe it's free, it was free when I left). I think everyone should visit, just for the experience.

Beef Patties - Grandpa Hanks Jamaican Kitchen (the London bus)

Had the chance to experience the Perch a few times. Putt-Putt: One of the most challenging putt-putt courses I have been on. Went there with my team and we had a blast. We played in 2 groups of 4 and it was an enjoyable time. When I first looked at the course I thought that it would be quick but it actually took a while to complete. Food Trucks: I got some Beef Patties and Curried Goat from Grandpa Hanks Jamaican kitchen (the London bus). It was really good. I had not had curried goat in a long time and it was really good. The staff working at this truck was really friendly and I did not have to wait long for my order. Dog Park: Though I don't have a dog, I did see some people letting their furry friends have a little playtime in the dog park. There are a lot of tables inside the food truck area and there are lots of other areas to sit and chill around the perch. There are Bocce Ball courts, the Starr Hill Biergarten, plus a stage that either has live music on stage or a game on the screen. Overall a great place to come and hang out.

I like the concept of this mini golf venue, rooftop mini golf, with views, a place to lounge, grab drinks, and food. The heat wasn't to bad, being on the roof added a nice consistent breeze. The venue could use more umbrellas and "strategically" placed fans lol, in my opinion. It's not the most technical mini golf course, but it's still fun especially with a group. The food for me was a 3 though, they were out of carne asada, which was ok, but then VERY skimp on the pollo, Los Dos Carlos taking to you, but I will give them more time to fine tune. The whole event was pretty kool, not sure if every weekend will have live music or other activities going on, either way, it's a roof top eleven stories up, nice views of the skyline, and places to sit with bench swings, if they end up doing night golfing with some creative lighting and music, it would be a really nice vibe...(Hint). Interested to see how this spot evolves.

Super fun afternoon activity. People watching football on a big project by the bar, people playing cornhole and eating and putt putt - so much going on and happening it's great. Super pretty area with good views everywhere (except for that one rando couple that thinks is appropriate to make out on a bench while families run around). We didn't eat there but we did play putt putt and the course was fun - more of a realistic type putt putt rather than arcade style. Sometimes the course gets backed up but I think that's the nature of playing in a busy area.

We had a good time here...but not sure I'd go out of my way to get back out there. We went on a Sunday afternoon, not super busy. We were able to get a start time within about 30 mins. It's a fun 18 hole course. The only thing is you don't want to go when it's hot out. There isn't any shade. Luckily it was a cooler day when we went. The food trucks were the most disappointing for me. They have a taco and Caribbean food truck. I was expecting authentic food trucks with food made in front of you. That's not the case here. I didn't take a chance with either, so can't speak to the food. We grabbed a couple drinks at the bar while we waited. Service was ok. Even though it wasn't busy, the bartenders seemed distracted and inattentive. Was kind of a bummer that my beer was warm. Sigh:( The overall experience was just ok.

I was impressed by the size, cleanliness and functional layout of the community center. There was convenient & easy parking and a large lobby area that draws you back towards diverging hallways with a series of large adjacent rooms for holding community activities and events. For the 2023 Chocolate Festival there was a whole hallway of rooms where the vendors were displaying their delicious chocolate candies & treats that they had for sale! It was a very organized event. All purchases being made with tickets that you bought from the cashiers at a long table in the lobby just around the corner of the hallway. Down the other hallway was a special room set up as a children's game room with arts & crafts and Legos for the kids to build with. My grandchildren loved it! There were benches for relaxing on conveniently placed by the bathrooms. We sat there and shared some of the chocolate treats that we bought! That same day a flute quartet was providing music for the visitors. This was a super fun event. I would gladly return to this venue for other family themed activities. The spirit of volunteerism was also clear for all to see from the high school students in the game room and the adults selling the food and raffle tickets! until next time be kind to each other. #mccleancommunitycenter #familyfun #mccleanchocolatefestival

About a day before I received information regarding mobile key access. I downloaded the app and was given a code to access my reservation. I checked in the morning of via the app and was advised they would let me know when my room was ready. Surprisingly, it was ready before 11am. I chose to drive instead of taking the metro. The directions provided took me directly to their garage. I parked on the sixth floor and used my mobile key to access the hotel door and elevators. I selected my floor and it assigned me an elevator that took me directly to the 15th floor. I had a King Junior suite. It was clean, spacious, modern, beautifully decorated, and had a lovely view of the Perch. The Watermark had many highlights. The first was the Perch. It offers swings, live music, food trucks, putt putt, a dog park, and a restaurant that you could get to from the 11th floor. It's family friendly and an overall beautiful space. Another highlight, is that Capital One Hall is literally around the corner and less than a 4 minute walk. It's a great location if you're attending a show which I was. Lastly, is breakfast is included. They offered Belgian waffles, grits, chicken and pork sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, hot cereal, cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee and tea. I consider that a pretty good selection. The customer service was good. The staff that I encountered were very polite and professional. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to couples, families, or solo travelers. Things to note: parking is $25, check in is 4PM, check out is 12 PM, breakfast on the weekend is from 7-11 and weekdays 6-10.

It's an upscale continental breakfast, but the best continental breakfast I've probably ever had. Potatoes, two kinds of eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, fruit, coffee, juice etc. Not a bad breakfast! The lobby was also vast and beautiful - I didn't get to explore as much as I would have liked! So the room was fantastic! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves but there was a mini couch, chair and desk, nice queen sized bed kitchenette area and decent bathroom with the room overlooking the courtyard with food trucks and mini golf course. Unfortunately I don't think any outdoor activities were open due to time of year/weather but still a nice view! It's connected to a grocery store - Wegmans and also close to the metro and a nice coffee shop around the corner. Definitely a nice stay for work or leisure!

We were on our way to a wedding in Potomac, MD on Sunday, and the closest hotels were in Tysons Corner VA or Bethesda MD. We selected this hotel primarily because it's an IHG hotel (where we have platinum membership in its reward program), its location, and very good review profile. This hotel offers apartment-style hotel suites with full kitchens, free wifi, and 42" HDTVs, and includes a free breakfast buffet. The website indicates that the hotel also offers 24/7 laundry, a fitness room, and seasonal pool but, while useful, we didn't use any of these. We were very pleased with our selection. The hotel was beautifully appointed and spotless, and it was clear that thought had gone into providing what travelers were most likely need. Our suite was huge, with two separate areas. One side included the sleeping area and the bathroom, while the other side was the kitchen and sitting area with TV. (Note that there are different room types. Our daughter and SIL said that their room was smaller). Check-in was effortless, with everything already ready upon our arrival. The check-in receptionist was friendly, and offered good recommendations for local restaurants. The breakfast buffet offered many hot and other choices, including scrambled eggs, sausages, diced sweet potatoes, hot waffles, oatmeal, breads/bagels/scones, fresh fruit (apples, bananas, oranges), and beverages (coffee, tea, juices). Foods were replenished regularly, except for the orange and pineapple juices (both of which dispensed only water). The neighborhood is urban, but the hotel is quiet and offers parking ($). There are walkable restaurants nearby. Our rating for this hotel would actually be 4.5 but a round-up to 5.0 seemed more appropriate than a downgrade. A few small things, the first two of which are related to communication. (1) we were surprised by our final bill which included a $10 charge for parking. While we were asked at check-in whether we needed a parking pass, it was never mentioned, and should have been, that there was a charge for that parking. (2) we're platinum members of IHG's Rewards Program, which is usually acknowledged at check-in with an offer of 500 loyalty points or a snack or drink. While not mentioned at check-in, I did find later that our account was credited with 500 points. (3) I had been sitting on the chaise lounger in the bedroom area, elevating my feet after a long drive. My husband called from the other side of the suite, and I swung my legs to get up to go there. This caused me to fall with a hard thud. It turns out that what I thought was a one piece chaise lounger (as in the living room area) was actually a chair and ottoman that fit together. When I tried to get up, the ottoman rolled and I fell between the two pieces. Not a major injury, but I do have some black and blue marks. I guess I should've turned on a light!

She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!
