I really love this place! Me and my boo came on a Sunday and it was nice outside perfect weather and it was packed! I really love they had to areas one with food trucks and the bar. And the other side had more of a pub type feel bar and finger foods. Because this is on a rooftop the views while golfing is beautiful. We tried the food truck with the tacos and they were really great. The bar had a nice selection so you can get wine, beer, and an assortment of mixed drinks. And they are strong! Lol After we played a game of golf and went to the other side where we played a game of I think it's called hackey sack? Then we called it a night. I took my team on a team outing with around 24 people. It came out to about $95 per person. At first, when we were emailing the lady, it seemed a little sketchy, but overall the experience was great. I just wish they had a better drink selection, including hot coffee, since they didn't have it the last time. I got the Korean bowl from the food truck and it was really good. The fish waffles and ice cream were also great. The mini golf is very unique because it's on top of a building, which is pretty rare. I received a lot of compliments for choosing this place. The layout of the mini golf course was great, and it was really fun spending time with colleagues. One recommendation I would suggest is providing paper bags for anyone who wants to take food home, since we were given two tickets to purchase food. read more

I had a fun time! We made reservations for 6 on a Wednesday. It was definitely hot and I wish there was more shade. There is a place to stop to get a drink halfway through. We grabbed a drink afterward. It was $39 for 2 beers and a shot, a bit high in my opinion. The area for drinks has a lot of shade and seats. Perch Putt is a classic work happy hour and fun event spot for employees nearby. One of the cool things about Perch Putt is that it's located on the top of the Capital One Hall building, 11 floors up, and it has pretty nice views. I'm not a big putt putt fan, but my coworkers had a fun time. In terms of food and drink, there are a few "food trucks" (not real food trucks, just decorative carts that are stationary). Currently, they have a Korean truck and Mexican truck along with a bar. Drinks are pretty expensive ($8 or $9 for a can of Angry Orchard). I got a taco bowl? at the Mexican stand, which is basically like a Chipotle bowl. The flavors worked well together and it contained a good amount of protein and vegetables. However, the black beans were hard and kind of unpleasant. Overall, not bad since food was comped for our work fun event, but personally wouldn't pay for it myself. read more

The Korean bowls are so saucy and delicious. The most popular Korean bowls are expensive but are rich and savory--full of carbs and is an all rounder meal. The salmon (yeon-uh) bowl didn't have a lot of salmon, but a good amount of rice and japchae. The chicken (dak) bowl has a good amount of chicken. A bit of greens to counteract the sauciness and oiliness of the dish. The perch putt itself is 18 courses, but doesn't have a return course so you can conceivably play over and over. Located only by elevator or parachute on the 11th floor of the Capital One buildings, you will find this place perfect for date night. There are food and alcohol options in the area as well as other gaming activities on the roof of this building. The golf itself is decent. You won't find elaborate obstacles or crazy water out of bounds, but the greens are nice. The price isn't too bad for the area. read more

Remember that you're high up so it gets breezy and will be chillier than at street level but this makes it perfect in the Va heat. The Perch has a food court, bars, and plenty of open space. I really wanted to like Perch Putt! It's rooftop golf in Tysons in the Capitol One complex. We went up to the roof and learned that PP and the Starr Hill Beer Garden are not connected, you can't bring things between. Oh well. Had a tee time and went for it, enjoyed golfing all 18 mini holes. Frankly it got boring, they are very repetitive, and also there was a real bottleneck ahead of us (no one's fault really). After we were done we thought about doing one of the 3 food trucks on the roof but none appealed. There are just too many great food spots in Tysons to spend one here. Limited replay-ability of the golf course so not sure we'll return. read more

Went here last night after work and it was poppin at 6:15pm! Star Biergarten is right next to here as well which is absolutely packed. Free 2 hour parking in the garage underneath (attached to Wegmans). There's a machine at the top where the elevator is so that you can pay before going back to your car if you're there longer than 2 hours. Virgin drinks aren't all that, they were alright: my friend didn't like her pina colada drink, and I didn't really care for the Lava Flow (strawberry daqauri and lemonade) until it melted and the strawberry definitely helped. My friend didn't like her chicken tacos from the food truck and felt the portion was small for the price. I ordered a taco salad (no protein, it came with beans in it), and I felt it was a great portion, lots of textures and a decent chipotle ranch sauce for the price, so I'd recommend that. The mini golf course is quick to get through - took the 2 of us less than an hour. If you have a group of 4 maybe it'll take an hour and a half max. I wish there was more decor/effort put into each hole: there was only one hole, maybe 16 or 17 I think that had some lights, but none of them were creative, no windmills or anything else to make it more fun. The views are nice, there's swings right outside near the Perch lawn, and it's a nice spacious area to enjoy. It's decently priced as well, about $36 for 2 people. read more

This was a different thing to do and we loved our evening on the rooftop and enjoyed all of the different vendors. Mini golf was fine but it was crowded on a Saturday afternoon and we had to wait several minutes between holes. We had fun, but the course itself isn't very interesting except for some rocks and dips--not your typical place that might have a giant giraffe or replica monuments. Loved the pollinator gardens! We had a lot of fun! It was only $15 a person and for an extra $5 you can take home a little golf ball. They let you pick a design as well. My boyfriend got a dead pool one and I got baby Yoda. It's located on the top floor 11th of the Wegmans and near capital one. There's food trucks, but it's not included in the price of admission. It's an open roof top spot so it gets very windy! What a great experience! I took my parents here for their first official outing in the VA. It was the perfect weather, perfect ambiance, and a beautiful set up. Perch putt is located on the 11th floor (the rooftop). Their are 18 holes, approximately three food trucks, one bar, and seat swings to simply relax and wait. The cost is very affordable ($15 per person). It's kid friendly and dog friendly and there is plenty of parking in the garage (I believe it's free, it was free when I left). Had the chance to experience the Perch a few times. Putt-Putt: One of the most challenging putt-putt courses I have been on. Went there with my team and we had a blast. We played in 2 groups of 4 and it was an enjoyable time. When I first looked at the course I thought that it would be quick but it actually took a while to complete. Food Trucks: I got some Beef Patties and Curried Goat from Grandpa Hanks Jamaican kitchen (the London bus). It was really good. I had not had curried goat in a long time and it was really good. The staff working at this truck was really friendly and I did not have to wait long for my order. Dog Park: Though I don't have a dog, I did see some people letting their furry friends have a little playtime in the dog park. There are a lot of tables inside the food truck area and there are lots of other areas to sit and chill around the perch. There are Bocce Ball courts, the Starr Hill Biergarten, plus a stage that either has live music on stage or a game on the screen. Overall a great place to come and hang out. read more

There are a ton of tables for different parties to sit at and they have a bar to order drinks from, and two food trucks to order food from. I think they recently switched out the food because now they are serving tacos and korean bowls which is a lot better than what they were serving before. I didn't personally partake in the mini golfing, but I had a lot of friends who did who said it was a lot of fun. Super family, friendly and a great spot to eat, drink, and have fun. The food options were a little expensive, especially the Korean place. I got the short rib bowl, which was about $23 but it had a lot of different toppings from rice, greens, japchae etc and I thought the portions were great. Wasn't the most authentic but still good. Turned the corner to the first hole and there was no less than 4 groups waiting to tee off and no less than two groups per hole waiting to play. The venue could use more umbrellas and "strategically" placed fans lol, in my opinion. It's not the most technical mini golf course, but it's still fun especially with a group. The food for me was a 3 though, they were out of carne asada, which was ok, but then VERY skimp on the pollo, Los Dos Carlos taking to you, but I will give them more time to fine tune. The whole event was pretty kool, not sure if every weekend will have live music or other activities going on, either way, it's a roof top eleven stories up, nice views of the skyline, and places to sit with bench swings, if they end up doing night golfing with some creative lighting and music, it would be a really nice vibe...(Hint). We had a good time here...but not sure I'd go out of my way to get back out there. We went on a Sunday afternoon, not super busy. We were able to get a start time within about 30 mins. It's a fun 18 hole course. The only thing is you don't want to go when it's hot out. There isn't any shade. Luckily it was a cooler day when we went. The food trucks were the most disappointing for me. They have a taco and Caribbean food truck. I was expecting authentic food trucks with food made in front of you. That's not the case here. I didn't take a chance with either, so can't speak to the food. We grabbed a couple drinks at the bar while we waited. Service was ok. Overall, I love the concept of Perch Putt and am glad that I came here on a date with my husband. The putt putt course itself is awesome. For being on a roof, they did a great job at making holes challenging while also creating a really fun atmosphere. We made our reservation online after hearing its difficult to do a walk in and booking was seamless. I do think they could do a better job with timing. Even though we had a reservation, we ended up waiting about 30 minutes past our start time. Maybe in the future it would be a good idea to limit group numbers and split them up accordingly. I removed one star because of our drink and food experience. We were really excited about the frozen drinks as it was really hot outside. We were told that they could only do frozen lemonade and I was somewhat disappointed because those were a majority of the fun ones. The food was okay. We got nachos from Los Dos Carlos and they could have used more meat but had awesome flavor. The beef and chicken patty we had from Grandpa Hank's Jamaican Kitchen were good but lacked flavor. All in all I think the food was a bit pricey for what you receive. We will absolutely recommend Perch Putt to our friends as it is a fun and different experience but I do not see us coming here regularly as it is quite pricey for the overall experience. read more

I reserved the golf for my boyfriend early birthday. We parked on the side of the road. If you park there, read the signs, and the parking meters are only doing their jobs. We were one out of 5 cars that received a $34 parking citation. There is a parking lot across from the hotel that is decent price, park there! We came to find out there was a Perch Festival, nothing bad, but just was caught off guard. The festival events seemed to be catered more to kids, but the nad was more for the adults. It was crowded going up because one of the elevators was not working. We went and checked in and started. There are 18 holes, and even if there are many people, it goes by very fast. The ambiance is great, great music and great space. The drinks are straight alcohol! If you are trying to turn up, the drinks are hitting. My boyfriend got pina Colada, and all I could smell from him was alcohol. We got painkiller. After you drink this, you won't know where that pain is. The food is overpriced at the food truck. Just go to the stellar hall. I will come back when there is no festival. read more

Such a great spot! To start its located on the 13th floor and it can get windy up there! We parked in the Wegmans garage (thank you Yelp) and stopped in Wegmans before we left to pick up a couple items and have it "validated" - we were a little over 2 hours and it was a couple dollars. I recommend checking in to putt when you get there because there was a waitlist if you don't have a reservation (they were booked when we looked). The wait was about 45 minutes. There's 18 holes, "half-way house" is the same bar that you start at and the course took about 2 hours, but we had to wait at a few holes towards the end. There are benches in between most holes and drink stands at every hole. Occasionally will have someone back-tracking to get to the bar when there's more of a hold-up. Good mix of kids and adults and I think they do a pretty good job with the timing of the groups. Nothing to crazy obstacle wise on the holes, so even those who have never played could have a good time! The rest of the space on the 13th floor is really cool. There are a couple food trucks, Biergarten, bocce court, large screens, open yard and dog park. Tons of younger families and a couple kid birthday parties. Once you enter either the Biergarten or the bar area with all the food trucks, you can't leave the area with an alcoholic beverage to go sit on the swings or walk around the grounds. read more

We were going to do putt putt, but it was a hot mess the moment we stepped in. We ordered drinks - hubby got a rum runner ($14) and I got a frozen lemonade ($7). I was promptly told (after paying) they "didn't have frozen lemonade yet" and they put my lemonade "on the rocks." The whole point was of having it available on a hot day, but at least it was decently tasty. We waited over 20 minutes for the rum runner and I had to ask when it was coming multiple times as I heard numbers after mine being called. They straight up forgot about our drink. At least it was a stiff pour for the amount. We find a table eventually but there's no break from the sun. We debate about ordering food but the Mexican food truck was too crowded and the service was slow. Jamaican food truck was a ghost town. All the prices were extreme, so we decided to get food somewhere else. Bummer that you can't have alcohol on the swings. Grassy area was taken over by kids just running up and down so you can't walk around with your drinks or food. We thought about doing golf again, but there is no organization. You have to "see" if they have availability. Tables are able to be moved (as we learned through a medical emergency for the stretcher to come through--I was proud of the staff and ongoers that helped us aid the person). They need to have cold water, fans, and umbrellas for the summer or else more people will become ill. We had to leave after about an hour. Ambiance was okay - they tried, but it was lacking. We were able to make a reservation for a time slot online, so no worries about having to wait to play. Parking was fairly easily in the garage below, and is free for the first 2 hours. For food, there was a taco truck, and Jamaican food truck. I'd recommend looking online prior as I'm not sure if these rotate or not. Of course there was a bar next to the course, Rhum Roost, that had a really good selection of frozen and classic tiki drinks, that ran $12/drink.
