Hosted a work event here recently. They were very easy to work with. We ate and drank at Victory Brewing next door, food and beer were all good. Typical pub fare but it tasted good. Expensive overall. Service was very attentive, they have a lot of staff and are prepared for big crowds. The gaming part is described well in other reviews. I'll foot stomp that it's not adults only, on a Friday night the place was overrun with teens which was unexpected, though everyone was well behaved. The gaming is not linear and it's hard to interact with a large group, you'll lose anyone who is not in your small group of six or so to the mass of games. The wait times for the game rooms were manageable and their tech works really well. Some games were more fun and better than others. The head to head dodgeball, light smacking games were the most fun. I'm not sure I would do another big event there but many of our group left super happy. I'd come back with a smaller group of friends, 4-6 and go through with them. read more

I hosted a team event at Level 99 + Victory Brewing Company for about 40 people that included food, drinks and games. The expereince at Level 99 was great. There are about 40 rooms of which each has different challenges and involve solving puzzles or executing a task in 1-4 minutes. Depending on how you and your team do you will be rewarded with stars or puzzle pieces for prizes. Everyone is given a wrist band that has a little badge that you use to tap when you enter a room to track your results. Many of the rooms require the participants to work as a team to achieve a goal. Some of the challenges are mental, physical, or require a high degree of coordination. This place is great for adults and I would say kids 8 and up. Teens would love it. I would not recommend this for younger kids. I have heard that this place has very long lines on the weekends. Since we went on Tuesday evening there was no wait for about 50% of the rooms we wanted to enter. And even in those cases we only had to wait no more than 2 minutes for the team inside to exit. My family and I had such an amazing time. My only other experience to a place like this was Time Mission in Manassas. The staff was super friendly and absolutely helpful answering all our questions. We came during non peak time which game us plenty of time to redo rooms that we had a hard time figuring out. Even as it felt like it was getting packed, waiting didn't feel long because there's so much offered to keep you entertained or busy. I will say my youngest struggled with some activities but he still had a great time. So just think about that if you have younger kids. Honestly, the two hours felt like a decent amount of time especially for the price you're paying. I could totally see coming here with adult friends and being here for hours. We didn't get to try the food but the bar and lounge area looked great. Next time we will have to try the food too! read more

I'll start off by saying they promote this spot as an adults playground. We thought that meant adults only. IT IS NOT ADULTS ONLY. There's a lot of kids as well. Our group came here for a birthday. It was a ton of fun! I HIGHLY recommend booking reservations in advance or you may be waiting a minute or you might not even be able to partake that day. We were a group of 11 and it was around $50 a person for 4 hour unlimited play time. We didn't use up the whole 4 hours. We were probably there for 2 hrs - 2 hrs 30 mins. It took about 30 mins to check in between waiting in line, watching the demo and rules, and waiting for a locker. The lockers were completely taken so we had to wait for someone who was leaving or out our stuff in the car. It's a great place for groups, but can be a little tricky if it's very busy. You'll have to wait in lines for game rooms. Most of the activities are in rooms where you have to either solve problems or do some sort of physical activity. The rooms are usually only around a 3-5 minute wait if you're next in line. There's plenty of rooms so most rooms didn't have long waits. You can compete against those in your group. See who can get the most points as individuals or broken out into smaller groups. Or just have fun and everyone in the group partake in activities together. Each room holds around 6 people max. There's a full bar area and eating area. If you need to go eat and grab drinks you can pause your game time for up to 1 hr. Overall, I'd come back. I really recommend doing the all day pass so you can commit to it. Try every room, there's a nice mix of physical and mental, you might not succeed everything. But you'll have fun. It was date night at Level99. Located on the 2nd floor of the mall, Level99 is billed as an adult game center. Once we checked in, got our wristbands, and checked in again at the virtual kiosks, we watched a brief presentation about the games before we were off. We signed up for the 2-hour session, and by the end, we were satisfied with the games we played (even some twice). In the beginning, we didn't utilize the hint option, so some games ended almost as quickly as we entered the room, lol. Eventually, we caught on, and even though we didn't clear any rooms, we did get close on a few. I liked that while most games were hidden until you entered the room, a handful were out in the open to see before you played. We appreciated the water station inside the restaurant, and the Detroit syle pizza had was pretty good. This was a fun date night, and something I'd do with a group of friends too. read more

First time experience! And it was fun! Came here with my cousin and her daughters for a galentine date. We had so much fun figuring out each room games. My utmost favorite was the magnetic ball. What makes this place fun, is the group you bring or join! Doing this alone can get boring after awhile. Okay so Breakdown. Cost is like bowling. Price can range as low as $30 for 2hrs depending on the day to as high as $60 depending on the day. I did 2 hrs on a Friday so it was $46pp. 2 hours was enough but I recommend 4hours if planning to go later in the evening. It gets packed. All ages are welcome but this is more suitable for adults in my opinion. Come early to check in on time. You begin as soon as you're checked in. Go straight to the rooms after getting your bracelet. That bracelet is how you scan into the room. Please wait your turn and respect the group before you. Each room is timed 2-4 minutes. The bracelet stops working once your time is up. We decided to try their fries and sodas. The truffles are soo deliciously garlicky and the sodas are old fashioned. Definitely a place worth returning! read more

This spot is one of the hottest places to go right now and I 100% understand the hype as I have not had this much fun in a very long time. The concept is awesome- 40 rooms to choose from that can be played, replayed, or skipped within 2 hour or 4 hour time slots. Some of our favorite rooms we played over 3 times trying to earn a better score. The space itself is like art. Everywhere you look is artwork it almost feels like you're in a museum. There is even a H2O station added that you'll quickly realize is a necessity to visit as you're playing all these games. On my visit we reserved online a 2 hour time slot at 4:45pm on a Thursday, trying to beat the pricing increase by booking before 5pm and having it also not being a weekend. This was the smartest thing to do because we realized even on a weekday, the space gets packed fast and right now a lot of companies even do happy hours here so it would've been harder to get into as many rooms having to wait for people to finish their sessions. I will not spoil the games for newcomers but they have a combination of mental and physical games. Group activities and even head to head competitions throughout the space. Do not come into this thinking that things will be easy because they are built to be quite a challenge. What an amazing experience! Level 99 was fantastic. With over 40 games combining both physical challenges and mental puzzles, there was something for everyone. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Each game included on-screen instructions and helpful hints, plus an estimated wait time if the room was already occupied. For tickets, you can choose between a 2-hour, 4-hour, or all-day pass--I found that 2 hours was the perfect amount of time. I had an absolute blast challenging myself at level 99. When you come in, you have a few different options for how long you can spend there. I went with one other person and we opted for the two hour pass. It was a Thursday night, so it wasn't too crowded and the lines were minimal. I think if we had to wait we would've had a much different experience. All of the rooms had different themes and challenges. Outside of the rooms were touchscreen where you would scan in to record your results. It also gave you the instructions and hints on how to complete the tasks. I appreciated that it gave you the level of difficulty as well. That way we knew what to expect. The themes of the rooms were fun and the technology was interactive and so cool. Overall, I got to do 27 of the rooms which is hard to believe that's not even half of it. If you can find a time to go where the crowds are light, I would definitely suggest checking out level 99 read more

We were a little concerned with wait times due to the crowd but were still able to complete several rooms and activities within the 2 hour timeframe. Overall the experience was fun came here on new years with some friends for 2 hours. In between if we would come back or not but I will say not what we expected based on previous friends experiences with challenge rooms. For more in depth see below. Pros - you get to challenge your mind and compete with your friends trying to figure out different rooms and what the problem is you're trying to solve. It's a nice way to get out and do something different than normal. Cons - nothing like I expected as far as these challenge rooms make it seem like there is a flow from one to the other. Which may just be my assumption so could be on me. But it was pretty chaotic there with every room having 2-3 groups before you so you could get very minimal rooms done. Sadly this means if you couldn't figure out the room on the first try you either had to wait another potential 3-9 min of your time or just skip to another room. It was so crowded that there wasn't really any instruction as they pushed us into the lobby area without much info. This one had more physical rooms for example, avoiding getting hit by swinging axes, using each others body weight to get across the room and at one point I had to hang from a rope to hit a button on the ceiling. I guess that's part of the game though to figure out how it works lol. They do have a restaurant and bar connected so that you can go and hydrate and eat but we already had lunch plans afterwards. Level 99 was SO much fun! I'm going set the stage, first. Picture a random Tuesday, arriving at 11am (opening), with a group of 4... this is the perfect combination to create an unforgettable good time. Ok, now picture a nice, big space with tons of little rooms and bonus trials throughout. Each room is its own adventure. We found our group of four to be nearly perfect. We had one tall, agile one, one who likes puzzles, one critical thinker, and one willing to try anything. We opted for the 2 hour adventure and ran through as many rooms as possible-- which was a whole lot. We doubled back a couple times to try again when we were so close. It was honestly fun to race through them, but I learned later that you can pause your time to get a drink or some food (or catch your breath!). They have water stations throughout and lockers for any loose items, but you can take your phone with you. I know they say that kids can play, too, but there's no way my 11 year old would have had as much fun as we did. (and she's done escape rooms and is generally awesome) The rooms aren't made for shortys (and I'm hardly 5'0). I feel like they would get frustrated in many of the rooms. I made a 2 hour reservation for this past Saturday and we had a lot of fun! There is plenty of space and a lot to do. There is definitely room for process improvements when you first arrive though. Since waivers are signed and I prepaid online, the whole process of waiting in line to give my reservation code and then be sent to the kiosks to check in again is a bloated process that could be solved with scanning the wristbands/attaching it to the reservation as soon as you check in with the hostess. I did find it interesting that it is marketed as a venue for adults but was full of kids. Go figure, but still a lot of fun. I look forward to coming back soon during the week and experiencing all of the rooms and trying the food/drinks, which all looked great from what we saw. read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday and had a great time. In total we were a group of 9 that split into groups of 4 and 5. I would say 4-5 is the sweet spot since some of the rooms almost require two man teams and too many people would make it difficult. We got the 2 hour pass and visited around 15/50 rooms (each room takes 3-5 mins). Granted we went at 1:45 pm the day after Christmas so it was quite busy. If this is your first time going and have not heard much about this place or how it works be prepared to fail the first couple of rooms you go to. It's very much learn as you go along. We discovered the "hints" on the queue board, for some of the rooms the hints are pretty helpful, for others it's pretty vague. Keep in mind that you do need to be somewhat agile and have some strength to complete some of these rooms. I saw some people dressed in full athletic clothes and sneakers and that is not necessary. You will be just fine wearing jeans, t-shirt/sweatshirt, and close toed shoes would be recommended. My only con about this place is the smell. As soon as you walk into the hallways with all the rooms you immediately get hit with "stinky armpit" BO smell. I would say some wall plug air fresheners would be extremely helpful. When we were done we grabed a bite to eat at the restaurant connected to the location "Victory Brewing Co.". We ordered the Mac and Cheese with Crispy Chicken, Truffle Fries, and the Beverian Pretzels which were all hot and tasted fantastic. read more

This was an amazing time! 2 hours was just enough for us at 11am on a Tuesday. I imagine on the weekend it gets busier and the rooms have a wait. Every room worked perfectly and was able to get in everywhere but not enough time to do anything twice. Lots of successes, lots of failures. I would like it if we could pause our time here while I get a drink or snack. But for now break time is included in the 2 hours. Would absolutely do this again. Level 99 is a great assortment of game rooms for all ages (can accommodate everything from families to adults to young kids). This place has a lot of various rooms- each with different activities. Challenges like throwing balls to kill bugs, using teamwork to operate a submarine, arrange colored puzzles in a sequence, making your body into different shape, etc. There's a lot of people but most rooms go by quickly- no wait will be longer than 4 minutes usually. My suggestion is to click the hints to get an idea of what you're supposed to do. My group felt like we didn't really have an understanding of a good chunk of rooms and were confused. Also with some rooms, the second someone loses a life its game over. My recommendation would be to get the 4 hour pass. We did the 2 hour and couldn't get to everything. Level99 is the best mix of escape room puzzles and obstacle courses, nothing like ive ever done before but would love to go back ! It was definitely busy when we went, but the wait for each game wasnt too bad just 3 minutes. I've been to Level99 a few times now, and the experience definitely varies depending on when you go. I have had a good time each visit, but weekends it can get crowded and I recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as it can sell out. On weeknights, it is much less crowded and the wait times for each room tends to be very short (if any wait at all). Level99 has the fun parts of an escape room without the same commitment to a single hour-long puzzle. You use your bracelet to scan into any of the many rooms to play with your group. Rooms are all themed differently, some with physical challenges, mental challenges, puzzles, and combinations. Each room is private to your group and limited in time, so it is very low pressure. The goal is to complete the challenge in the room with your group and get as many points as possible. It is a great rainy day activity. There bathrooms and free lockers to store your items while you are playing in the rooms. read more

I checked this place out in a group of 6 people on a Sunday. It was pretty busy, which makes sense on a weekend. There was a mix of groups, adults, teenagers, and kids. We were able to do 13 rooms total, with a few repeats where we could. For some of the rooms, six people was too many but for others it was perfect. You definitely need to be careful, there were a few rooms where you can immediately lose and have to jump back in line. When we first started playing we didn't fully understand how the games worked and I wish there was someone by the room doors that could have explained it. However, by the second game we got the idea and had a blast playing as a group. I especially enjoyed the team building game where we had to figure out where and what the dinner guests would eat at the dinning table. It has a nice bar and a pretty good menu. I first heard of Level 99 from my Boston-area friends and was dying to visit, so I was THRILLED when I found out a location was opening at Tyson's Corner. It seemed like just exactly the kind of fun I want to have? I brought my partner for his birthday weekend and we walked in on Sunday a few minutes after they opened at 10am. You don't need to make an online reservation, but it would help expedite the process of registering each player for an account. You are given wristband when you walk in that will be linked to said account and that you use to enter the game rooms. We didn't wait at all when we first arrived, as there were only 3-4 other parties there, but by the time we left at the end of our 2 hour reservation, this place was understandably PACKED. Expect to wait to get into any room and get in line for the swinging axe run during peak times, but the wait time will probably be something like 3-4 minutes if there isn't a line. Most of the rooms were REALLY fun, but I do recommend looking at the instructions before entering to maximize your time, because otherwise you risk wasting time trying to make sense of the props in the room and the objective, as we did with our first room (and as I realized my partner did when he couldn't read the instructions as fast I did...) You can find instructions on the screen BEFORE you enter the room by touching the lightbulb icon, but you will likely not realize you need to do this until you enter your first room and are lost and look around for instructions and see none. Some of the rooms we still just couldn't figure out how to achieve the objective because the instructions are left intentionally vague, and some of the rooms were physically just too challenging for us. I also really appreciated the design of the rooms -- they were really immersive, even on the outside, and we were giddy with excitement and anticipation every time we entered a new one. There is a spot the art activity that seemed fun but also felt like not a great way for me to spend my limited time, but I think would be more fun if I had an all-day pass or I had long waits between rooms and could have someone in my party help me wait. There is a TON of art on basically every wall, and we ended our time at Level 99 just getting photos at some of the very photogenic backdrops. (Again, I wouldn't recommend using your limited paid time to do this.) Nice amenities in the space included free water stations with cups and hand sanitizer, both of which make a ton of sense when you are sweating and shouting at/to your teammates while frantically touching a bunch of different props in so many rooms! Another free amenity that I didn't realize was free was the lockers. I didn't know these were no charge so I kept my crossbody bag on throughout the rooms and my partner carried his hoodie that he had to take off in his arms and just hoped no one would take it when he left it outside the room. They're not large enough for really large items but big enough for jackets, small-medium bags, maybe some shopping bags, etc. I do think that for 2 people, 2 hours was a good amount of time, especially given how much we were able to do our first hour before it got crowded. By our second hour, we were physically spent from how competitive we were in some of these game rooms and the waits were getting longer as well. I can see the longer times maybe being more worthwhile with larger parties, though. This would be a great place for a date (maybe slightly aggressive for a first date but an efficient way to determine compatibility in a competitive setting!) and with a group of friends. We saw a lot of kids during our visit, but I think people below a certain height are at a distinct disadvantage for many of the rooms so I wouldn't recommend bringing young children. (For my fun-sized folks out there, bring a tall friend or two to get the most out of rooms where you have to reach things that are quite high!) Be prepared to test any relationship where you don't have well-established communication/collaboration styles or with mismatched levels of competitiveness! Truly, I cannot overstate how much my partner and I are excited to come back, especially if we are able to come during an off-peak time, and to share this with our loved ones. There are a lot of game room that include physical strength, teamwork, memorization, puzzle solving and more. There are locker storage that you can store your stuff (for free), a bunch of water station to stay hydrated, and a food court inside the place. Make sure you wear active clothing so you can be comfortable playing the physical activity. I got the 2 hrs time frame to play at Level 99, it was enough time to play around and be tired but it felt a little rushed since we didn't take any time to rest. We went on a weekday and it was a little busy when we have to wait for the game room to be our turn. If you and your friends are looking to run around and play super fun games for a couple of hours, you have to come here. I came with 5 of my friends for the 8pm slot on a sunday night. Checking in was easy especially if you sign the waiver forms before arriving. We did have some trouble with the lockers and one of our friend's wristband but the staff were more than happy to help us out. All the games are so well thought out and are categorized from requiring a lot of physical strength to mental puzzles. There's also a lot of seating areas to rest and a bar and food area as well. She helped us coordinate everything seamlessly and even helped to arrange a private room, which gave our group peace of mind and a secure space to store our belongings and fursuits (which are not cheap!) Came here on a Saturday morning for a 12:45 slot and boy was it already busy! I came with my husband and son. There was a line out the door but it move pretty quickly as employees were pre banding the guests. Everyone gets a wristband to play. It holds all of your stats and gets you access to all of the games. Once we got in, we just had to link out bands to our accounts and then we were off. There is a small locker room to the left of the front entrance. It prob has about 200 lockers (if i had to guess) and all of them were full when we got there. People started throwing their jackets on top of the lockers which i didnt feel safe doing cause someone could easily walk away with your stuff. My recommendation is to leave everything but your keys, wallet and phone in the car. Dont even bring a jacket cause there is no guarantee that you will get a locker. I carried my purse and jacket everyone and it honestly got in the way. I tied my jacket around my waist and in one game it fell to the floor and we lost the game because the floor was sensitive to touch for the game. I honeslty had no idea what to expect here. There was a nice lady who asked us if we needed help and she led up to our first game and then we started to get the hang of it like 4 or 5 games in. There apparently is over 40 games to play throughout the venue. In our 2 hour session we got through 12. I will say the axe run was a hit for my family. I tried it once and i was just happy to succeed. LOL My husband and son got through in 6.8 secs. That was leaps and bounds better than my 23 secs. lol We didnt get to try the food, but the food area was pretty big and can accommodate alot of people. My only wish is that they would limit how many people can be in the venue at once Each game had people in front of us so we had to wait. We were lucky to find like 1 or 2 where we would walk right in without waiting for the players to come out. My husband said 2 hours was enough time, but i think we would have been better with 4 hours and perhaps on a weeknight. Overall, we had a good time and I would not be opposed to coming back when there aren't so many people. read more

I think I need to come back to see if I actually like this place or not. I came two days after Christmas and the mall was already crazy - it took me 30 minutes after entering the parking lot to actually find a parking space to give you some context of how crowded it was. This location is where the Barnes and noble used to be. When I arrived, they weren't taking anymore walk ins. A friend had a reservation so I was able to come in. I probably should have really sat and read the directions when you check in, because I can't say I enjoyed the game rooms too much. I would walk in and the game would literally say exit please lol. I did read that sometimes the challenge began just as you entered individual rooms. You also need a minimum of two people to go in the rooms to play so if you come by yourself, you have to be outgoing and ask other people if they are willing to go into certain rooms. The food court and bar were pretty good. Good drinks and the food was pretty good too (except the Mac and cheese- that needs some work). I gave it a 3 because I can't tell it seems fun, I just couldn't figure out with all of the crowds how fun it actually was while I was there. I ended up sitting and chatting with my friends. This place has something for just about everyone, regardless of age! The variety of games between mental and physical was perfect after filling my belly at Victory Brewing. Speaking of games, I appreciated the free locker for my purse and the water stations (strategically placed near certain physical games). There were plenty staff members on hand to greet us, ensure we checked in properly, help me update my username, and to explain how to use the onscreen prompts prior to entering the each game (last one is clutch!) read more

My friend and I stumbled upon Level 99 while walking around the mall, and we had an amazing experience. It's a fun, interactive, and physical way to spend an afternoon. For $30 per person, we were able to spend two hours attempting a variety of challenges. While a few were a bit confusing at first, each one was engaging, challenging, and enjoyable. This is a great experience for people of all ages. read more

It was pretty fun but and that's a MASSIVE BUTT. The games were fun And the food was great. The sign up process was so hard! It was almost impossible! It was so hard!!!! But over all it wasn't bad. read more
