Super fun experience, but extremely unorganized. I went with a group of friends, we're all 30 years of age so it's a fun place for all age groups. When we walked in we were a bit nervous because there were sooooo many kids having their birthday there. The check-in process was a bit obnoxious. They ask you a ton of questions that seem unnecessary. It takes a few minutes to check in, and the kiosk you're using to fill out the forms are slow. Each person in the group needs to have a waiver filled out. Their systems literally show all people's personal information because there's an auto fill option (people's phone #, names, emails, and addresses) super unsecure. Their systems literally activity time was fun, but everything else was frustrating. We paid extra to do the beat the bomb paint explosion at the end, but never received the video as mentioned. I want our video! Each group gets a Bay Area where you play all the interactive games. You get a wristband that tracks your location. It was difficult to order food, every time we asked they said we would have to wait 20 mins, and eventually they told us to order after our experience. I personally don't think it's worth ordering after, because you're ready to go home when you're done. They have a full bar, one $10 drink is included in your ticket. You can't pay additional for a drink that's more. The $10 drinks include slushies, shots (green tea, lemon drop, and Jell-O shot), seltzers, and beer. The pre made shots and slushies barely have alcohol, lots of sugar. Overall, I had so much fun with the group, but I wish they were a bit more organized. Things like ordering food, getting our group video, check in process etc.... I tried calling but no one ever picks up. They don't have a number for the specific location, only an overall customer service number that's in Albany NY. They don't validate parking, you either have to pay for the garage (which is pricey) or street parking. There's a lot of other game spots, bars, and food places in that area so it's hard to get street parking. There's so many of these game spots not a days so I probably wouldn't go back to this one.

Thu was a fun experience. I'd recommend doing this with friends. We had a group of 5 and we actually won the game. Despite that, we still decided to get bombed for the experience. The games were fun and challenging. The only downside is that the paint bomb is strong and we were a little damp after, despite the suits we wore. Other than that, a super fun experience with helpful staff. Also, shoutout to them for having a bar because a celebratory drink was necessary after those games!

Cool hang out spot for team building and all out FUN! Came through for a birthday party celebration for my 13 year old nephew. Food: bar food and snack. The Thai Wings were delicious. Drinks were served strong. Over all layout; fun and spacious. There were plenty of young people on a Sunday afternoon. I could actually see this as an adult activity if you're into playing games. Parking? A few garages nearby and street parking if you're lucky. Very clean; no service though. Grab your food and grab a seat. Do I recommend this fun little game place? Absolutely if you're down for beating the bomb and not getting slimed or paint bombed! If you have four other fun loving friends you have a team! Stop in, have a few drinks and a few laughs.

Came to Beat the Bomb with a group of friends and it was a great time. The games are unique and a lot of fun to solve. There are some issues with the games that could be fixed. For example, one of the games didn't count our points at all which was really frustrating. It was fun to visit and I'd go again!

Beat the Bomb....is "The BOMB!!" My family and I had an absolute blast with this experience! It was incredibly unique and perfect for groups, making it a great choice for a fun outing with friends or family. Beat The Bomb is an interactive team-building experience where players must take on several different challenges including a Laser Maze and a PAINT BOMB that explodes if you lose in the end. The games were a great mix, challenging both our minds and bodies in the best way possible. It kept us all engaged and entertained from start to finish. There is a bar and decent menu of bar food like pizza, wings, and appetizer type food. We tried a couple of items from the buffalo chicken dip & chips, wings, and pepperoni pizza. The food and drinks were average at best but the wings were really good! Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun and active way to spend time together. Can't wait to go back and do it all over again!

I had done this as part of a Yelp event a couple years ago and I was so excited to come back with friends. We made reservations ahead of time for a group of 7 and were separated into 2 groups, so we ended up splitting into boys vs girls. The girls did the paint mission and the boys did slime. We had so much fun! I was rolling around on the ground and yelling and laughing. I haven't had that much fun in a while!

I went here on a Saturday for a 3:15PM reservation for a birthday party of ten guests total. We all got there on time and had our waivers filled out in advance but I don't think we got to start until around 3:40PM and we finished at 4:55PM when the original time slot we had was 3:15 to 4:15. If you have a tight time schedule I think you should plan to give yourself extra time in case of delays and water breaks during the game rooms. Other than that I had such a fun time and although I was intimidated by how intense the paint bombing might be at first, it was honestly not bad at all. Some of my clothes did get a bit damp so make sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting a lil wet or possibly colored! My shoes were totally fine though and I'd love to come back and try the other game rooms. :)

The games preceding the bomb were fun. The bomb was a bit extreme to my taste. Overall - pretty awesome team building experience

If you are looking for a fun, interactive and high-energy, immersive gaming experience, grab your squad and get ready Beat the Bomb. Registration was seamless. Once the experience was booked, an email was sent with a link to the waiver, parking instruction, arrival guidelines, and what to expect. We were greatly warmly by the staff. The location has a Bomb bar and lounge area to chill and get comfortable. Ryan was very helpful in preparing us for the experience. We progressed through hi-tech game rooms with touch screens, motion cameras, RFID readers, projection walls, and lasers. We were suited up in Black Hazmatsuits. In the 5th and final 'Bomb Room,' our squad got blasted with Foam. Doers were able to enjoy drinks and food at the Bomb Bar. I had two Hennessy side cars . I also tasted the wings and potato tots. The staff were phenomenal and the fun level was 10/10! Highly recommend! The girly girl in me wouldn't have even booked something like this. I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. Book your tickets asap!!!

I came here for a work team building event. Everyone had to sign a waiver and store their personal items away in a locker. You are given a few different rooms to complete missions in. Your performance in each room will dictate how much time you have for your final mission to Beat the bomb. You are not locked in the room so if you need to leave or run to the restroom you can without worry. While you are completing the missions you are given a full hazmat suit to put over your clothing. The suit is hot. Like really hot. We were pretty sweaty when we got done. It would be a good idea to wear light weight breathable clothing that you can move around in. Some of the missions have lasers which require lots of movement and being nimble. The bomb mission was fun. They did tell us that 80% of first time participants do not beat the bomb. This means the likely ness of getting slimed, or sprayed is pretty high. Overall we enjoyed our time there and look forward to grabbing a drink from the bar next time we go!

I'd seen so many videos of Beat the Bomb online and I quickly added it to my list of places to visit. I went one evening after work with my daughter, younger cousins, and uncles. It was a great spot for a play date. It was like a real live workout with all the obstacles. Within an hours time, we played four games and went on to the final level to try to beat the bomb. We did not win but it's ok. We will be better prepared next time. At the end, we chose to be slimed and that was an interesting and funny experience. The customer service was also great and the guys who assisted us with getting prepped were really helpful. Overall, I think this place was nice and has a lot of potential to be great but there's room for improvement. When we went, the AC was not working and it was one of the hottest days of the summer. With the amount of running and playing that goes on, I can see that being a serious health hazard if not corrected. Extreme heat aside, it was a lot of fun.

This was such an outrageously fun experience! I came with four friends, so five people total, and we were in one room together--one room can fit six people total, so larger groups will be broken down, and smaller groups will have to work harder. The process is pretty easy. Each player wears a wristband that is tied to their name, and each room that you go into has six computers. Each person uses their wristbands to solve the puzzles together in each room. There are three rooms total and the total time you earn in each room (based on your problem solving skills) is what you're given to 'beat the bomb'. The bomb is either slime, paint, or foam, and you select when making the reservation. We chose paint and it was pretty intense. I was lucky, but my friends ended up getting some inside their masks, all easily removable with some water. A warning to those who may be making a decision. My only issue is our reservation was delayed almost 25 minutes, on top of showing up 15 minutes early.

This was a fun and unique experience! I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I enjoyed all of the games and I like how it was a combination of mental and physical challenges. I would definitely come back!

This was underwhelming and disappointing to say the least. My partner and I love doing escape…read morerooms, so we looked for the hardest one in the area. We saw Outbreak from Big Escape Room had a 9% or 19% success rate (you see both numbers written on their website so I'm not sure what the actual % is) and that they could accommodate up to 10 people, so we booked that one. There is the option to reserve the entire room, which we preferred so that our group could have the room to ourselves. I asked if there was room to store our belongings, and they had a room we could reserve for $$, but I was just curious if we had cubbies or anything. In general, the escape room itself is fine for storing belongings. - Logistics - Once we arrived, we had to wait until past our reservation time because they were still setting up the room and waiting for the group before us to finish. We ended up starting ~30 minutes after our reservation time, which became part of the reason we were late to our dinner reservation after that. On top of that, we were told there was a lock in our room that wasn't working, so they suggested we do the Clown room instead. We decided to continue doing Outbreak but told them to just leave the lock open, and only grant us permission to move ahead once we figured out the code. I had read reviews that the equipment wasn't maintained very well, and that was the first indication of that. We hadn't even started the room yet! - The Room Experience - Things were largely fine in the first room we were in, but again we found locks that weren't working properly. When we managed to get the code, we only got half of the lock open and then lowkey brute-forced the contents out because we weren't sure we were going to get the other side. Thank goodness the contents were small enough to make it out. The second room was chaotic. We also started to ask for hints once we arrived in this room, but our walkie talkie was improperly set, so I had to leave the room to find the staff to help us out. That took up time to set up, and the staff weren't sure where we how far along we had gotten, so that took up even more time out of our time limit. I couldn't tell if they were on their phone for work or leisure, but hopefully the former... The worst part comes towards the end. We had finally made progress, but the solution we got to the math problem wasn't opening up the lock despite the game guide's instructions that it would. So much time had run out at that point, including the time limit, during which staff came in to explain what went wrong for us. One of the staff members actually had not played/made the game, so they couldn't not walk us through the solution and instead needed to call another person to do that. They could have invested in more training for staff... When we finally got the explanation for the lock, it turns out they gave us the wrong formula for the solution??? How many people have done the room with the wrong formula? Why didn't the staff test out everything, including the formula, to make sure it actually works? Despite the many things that went wrong, they let us finish up the room past our time limit after identifying the error was on their part. Most anticlimactic exit ever, but an exit nonetheless. We were late to our dinner reservation already, so we decided we might as well finish this out. - Overall - The staff are kind, but this is not an escape room I recommend or will be returning to any time soon.

Beware! We showed up to play and the employee working there quit saying the place was a s***hole…read more Another disgruntled employee showed up and was very rude and abrasive as if everything happening was our fault. We had waited an hour at that point so we said we just want a refund. We were told to fill out the credit card authorization form and write "we did not play this game" to get a refund. Someone came out of one of the rooms as we were leaving and said "We've been asking for a clue for a long time now and this part of the Escape Room is not working". Exactly why we decided to not play. We called the next day and were told by Gregg, who I think is the owner, that it would take 7-16 business days to get the refund, which in itself is absurd, but we were trying to be patient and courteous. After 16 business days we called again and were told the refund was processed and they have no idea why we didn't receive it. That they are waiting to talk to "Brandon" who handles their accounts but that I am not allowed to talk to him or their billing department. They are unwilling to send us a refund check. Looking at other reviews I understand now the guy is a lying scam artist and we aren't going to get our money back. Not to mention trying to find this place was difficult enough. It's like being in an escape room just to find their office in the creepy business building they are in. That employee was right - what a s***hole!

As a four-person group, we decided to take on Poe's Chambers. The theming of this room is immaculate! Just the door to the room evokes the early 19 hundreds. Poe's Chambers really makes you feel like you're in the creative poet's home. I loved the overall feel! My fiancé and I were able to get the group through some of the puzzles, just due to our vast experience with rooms. I believe even our first-timer friends were able to see how we were making the connections and able to get their brains going too! I felt like we all really handled the room well and that it was friendly to them. There is one puzzle in particular I think E.R.A. needs to update. If it doesn't sit just so, it's easy to miss the clue. Though, everything else in the room worked flawlessly. Our game master was very attentive when we asked for two clues, though it took us a bit to decode her hints. We got out with 7 minutes to spare. I can see why this room would be an 8/10 difficulty. It's a fairly linear room, which I prefer when it comes to games. I've done rooms that feel scattered and those frustrate me to no end, lol. I do think a group of beginners might struggle, just a bit, in this room. Truly though, great room! I hope we'll get to go back again! 8/10 recommend
