Since their store is so tiny, they were hawking me everywhere i went, asking me what i wanted every 5 minutes. As soon as another customer was checking out they suddenly switched their attitudes to that "fake friendly" demeanor as they turned their attention towards that customer. When that customer left they focused back on me like hawks waiting for their prey. Was planning to buy a new full set of XXIOs, but that experience convinced me to just buy it from the xxio website instead. This is what you get when the employees are also the owners - no corporate policies on customer treatment, no consequences on their predatory behavior. I walked in to inquire about the tee time golf pass book. The lady at the store nonchalantly says, it's $30. I asked if there were any discounts, as golf season is over in about a month and the pass book is good until the end of the year. She again, nonchalantly says, there's 3 months left~ The pass book is also discounted online and she was WALKING AWAY and says, go buy it online then~~ WOW, can we say NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS??? I received a 5 hour lesson from a relative purchased at Annandale Golf as a gift. Unfortunately, the pandemic and subsequent lockdown postponed my ability to redeem said gift. Now that, a little over two years later, the pandemic has somewhat subsided, I decided to give them a call to talk about setting up my lessons. The employee who answered my call told me that they would not honor my gift cards because they didn't keep records of these purchases for any longer than a year, and that my gift had expired. Nowhere on the gift certificate is there any indication of an expiration date (let alone any small print rules). I'm disappointed they won't be honoring the lessons. I'm sure others who exercise their lessons immediately will have a better experience, but I can't recommend Annandale Golf after my own experience. read more

Mr. Lee (jeff) is of a rare breed. His passion for golf, AND careful attention to customer service is unparalleled. I have been into other golf shops where the sales people act like pretentious know-it-alls. Jeff is the exact opposite. He truly is a know-it-all, but He's patient, kind, passionate and truly is an expert at all things golf related. Total opposite of those other guys. I decided to take lessons from him, and I am glad I did. My golf game has improved remarkably, and I can always hear his voice in my head when I'm on the course. I walked into Annandale Golf in November of 2018 wanting to upgrade my old irons. I really had no idea what I wanted. I met Jeff, the owner and told him I was interested in new irons. He asked what I thought I wanted and I mentioned probably Titleist or Ping irons. He asked why, to which I said, "because most of my friends who are good golfers play them." Jeff humorously replied, "that is a terrible reason." We went on to test irons for nearly 2 hours and I landed on Mizuno JPX 919 Tours. These clubs I have now been playing for over a year-- probably 50 rounds-- and I have never owned better. I had two lessons, one of which was just an evaluation and for a for two weeks all I did was my "homework" practice what he told me and be patient. I say patient because he breaks down your swing from the basics and works you back up.. yesterday played my first round in a very long time and let me just say my game was noticeable better. I've been a customer of Jeff's at Annandale Golf for ten years. Though I am a member of a local country club and a low handicap, I buy my clubs from him and take regular lessons. Jeff is an extraordinary teacher and has a particularly fine touch with children, teenagers, and women golfers. His store has a very wide selection of golf equipment, including the latest in hand-forged Japanese club such as Fourteen and Miura. He also keeps a good stock of used clubs at good prices. His selection of putters, bags, clothing, gloves and other accessories are well-chosen and plentiful. I've been looking for a good golf shop in the area and finally my search is over. I needed a resize and regrip on a couple clubs and they took care of it in a few minutes and for a fair price. At other golf shops I get the run around, get ignored, pressured and forced to come back for simple jobs. Not here, just the opposite. I first came in to the shop and I talked to the owner jeff and he was very nice. I bought some balls and some alignment sticks from him. I thought this is a great little shop I will do business with. I think not the second time. I came in to put a driver grip on and they said no to doing it and I proceeded to look around. I'm active duty mil and got station in the area. My friend and I was looking for a golf retailer and we came across AG store. We could have easily went to golf smith or dicks. But I said what the heck it was near me. Small local vendor but when I went in it was even more tight! In a good way though! All your needs were right there on the sale floor! From TM to all the luxury foreign brands. I'm a huge mizino freak so I'm glad they carried a lot of gear. Jeff the owner I'm assuming was in that day! Super nice and friendly. I've been to a lot of small shops and the sales are like literary on you. He came up talked and left me to my browsing. Once I dialed in he taped up my club an gave me marking tape. The first time we met Jeff at Annandale Golf was to ask him for a donation for the Fairfax Rotary's Charity Golf Tournament. Jeff did not hesitate to help out and offered a golf lesson for the Silent Auction. We quickly found out that Jeff was not just running a golf store but training golfers at all levels. It was obvious that he enjoys helping others. We were so impressed with Jeff's knowledge and skills of the golf game that we ended up taking lesson ourselves. We have enjoyed learning new golf methods and improving our game. Jeff spends most of his time with golfers and demonstrates techniques necessary for a better golf game. I am new to golf and bought a cheap, used driver here so I could go to the range with my friends. When at the range, the club snapped on my first swing. I went back the next day to try and return the club. The store owner greeted me and explained that he could fix it for me for only $10. I paid around $20 for the club, so I said no; it would be easier just to buy a new club. I ask for a refund, and he tells me that I cannot have a refund because it was not broken when I bought it. I tell him that I broke it literally on my first swing, and he still would not give me a refund. I then question the fact that it was a used club, and wonder if they had scammed me into buying a really crappy club. The owner then randomly grabs one of the used clubs up for sale, and smacks it on the ground about 10 times until it cracks. He says "see; a club will break if you do not treat it right", although I hadn't smacked mine repeatedly on the ground. I find it mind-boggling how he cracked a club just to show me why I couldn't get a refund for the crappy one he had sold me. I left pretty upset. By the way, he placed the cracked one back with the others that were for sale, so shop here if you want to buy broken golf clubs! read more

I went to check out the store and see about a new set of Callaways. Saw that the owner/pro who turned out to be Jeff was giving a lesson. Talked to Jeff about a set that I was looking for, and he beat golfsmith's price and is giving me a free box of balls. He gave me a tour of the shop, and when I asked about lessons he told me to talk to the person who was having a lesson. The guy gave a great review about Jeff's knowledge and teaching technique and said Jeff gave the best lessons he had ever had and the guy had many from all different places. The guy also talked about how Jeff usually went over the allotted hour time to make sure what was being taught was getting across, he even said if it wasn't the best lesson he would pay for it...such a raving review. I am cancelling my lessons with golfdcacademy (which had been postponed twice already) and getting a refund. As soon as Jeff gets my new set in hopefully I can start improving my game with him. Like the other reviews say great customer service. I will definitely be recommending Jeff and this shop. read more
