Nice find! Really big portions but the 1/2 salad and 1/2 sando was perfect! Will definitely be back. Outdoor seating I was worried about because it's right on the street but not was really perfect! Pretty rooftop. owes of some great Arcata spots and watching the busy people on the street was very relaxing. read more

Yummy sandwiches in a nice room-easy stop off the 101 thru town. Would easily come in again if we're up here!

I had the turkey with smoked mozzarella and pesto. It was great! I probably should have only eaten half as the sandwiches are large, but it tasted so good that I finished it. Added bonus is someone was playing guitar and singing. Absolutely loved that. Highly recommend! read more

Very comfortable, inviting little place. It took a very long time to get my order after paying, but maybe they were making orders from online or something. Sandwich were very good and I'll come back someday and sit at one of the outdoor tables when we've got a sunny day. read more

BEST. Sandwich. EVAH. Friendly. So scrumptious. Must try: "the hot chick" The bread is fresh, every ingredient on the Sammy is WELL thought out. It's a wow factor for sure! Brews are also savory and coffee is nice and toasty. A must try spot if you are in Arcata. I found this on a locale recommendation myself. Absolutely delicious. The Club Sammy makes any day special. Oak Deli and Brewery sandwiches capture the love and freshness of Humboldt County. Oak Deli is a great spot to study with espresso or relax with a beer. Over five late afternoon mornings visits, I've savored in-house beers, charcuterie, and soups I love it! At first, I wasn't sure if the food was gonna be good because this was just a little establishment with a few beers on tap and it was pretty quiet. It seemed a little artsy Fary, but unique. We ordered three dishes and had some local brew, and the sandwiches and food were great. All three of us thought. The food was delicious and the portions were large. I personally thanked the staff and told him that it was very good and I would be back. Definitely make this a lunch stop and you will not be disappointed. read more

Huge sandwiches with fresh ingredients! There is a bit of a wait but worth it. Cute place with some outside tables.

An unexpected delight! Passing through on the way home to the Bay Area and stopped here for lunch. Split the Spun Goat salad and Athena sandwich. Both creatively prepared with the freshest ingredients. If this was back home, it would become our go-to place! Great music too. Drove up and Coltrane was playing! P.S. You may have to wait a bit for your great food! read more

First time visiting Oak Deli and Brewery. It's a small, quaint place to eat. Luckily my friend and I got the last table inside to eat together. He built his own sandwich. It was large and he said tasty. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich & salad: Club Sammy and B'd Ceaser. Very impressed with the food. read more

Best sandwiches we've ever had! You won't be disappointed. The Brie and prosciutto was especially excellent!

Amazing food and service the first time....i believe the owner was there. Tried coming by today with my family and was not greeted nor my order taken in the five minutes we stood there confused... Our table was nasty sticky, it smelled horribly inside which I attributed to a customer inside (whatever arcata right) but when we went to order, we were further ignored. We just decided to leave at the point with our $120 or so we would spend. Hoping they can turn it around. read more

We noticed this place driving by, while our stomachs growled. I ordered a half blt and half caprese salad and it was all delish and made to order! Wish we had found this place at the beginning of our trip we would have visited more than once. Loved the music too! read more

The Tony Sandwich is to die for, as is the mimosa with fresh squeezed orange juice. Today I tried their Bacon Baked Potato soup which was cooked to perfection! The soups also rotate, which I appreciate. However, the best part of my experience here EVERY SINGLE TIME, is the customer service. You can tell the team here genuinely loves their job & puts their heart into their work. I have been (and will continue to be) an overly satisfied returning customer. read more

Randomly wandered into this deli due to the absurd line at los bagels. Sooo happy that we came. Ordered The Tony and this enormous sandwichy goodness came out and crushed. Salads and panini's are out of control. I am never going to Los bagels knowing the oak is right around the corner, plus beers on tap and over sized mimosas are a nice way to wash down The Oak's menu. Come here you won't be disappointed. read more

Hands down the best sandwich in Humboldt County. Highly recommend the Tony. Some of the freshest ingredients, the outdoor seating that is lovely/ in the sun, and staff is polite. It's a deli, so it gets busy. Customers should manage expectations, order at the counter and sit down. Grateful to have such a nice place in the neighborhood. read more

Pretty much the best food spot in Arcata. Everything is good here. Locally sourced and quality ingredients. The beer is made in house. Amazing food and amazing people! Came in yesterday around 3. There was one other group inside who already had their food. We ordered an app, 2 sandwiches and my partner got a beer (only had 3 beer options.. odd for having "brew" in the name). It was roughly $60. We sat on the patio. The app was good, but it took nearly an hour to get our sandwiches. Not sure why, we didn't order anything weird. I had finished my iced tea and my partner had finished his beer by the time our sandwiches came. Unfortunately, they weren't anything special. About an hour later, we both started feeling sick. That was the only thing we had. We likely won't be back. We like supporting local, but disappointed after reading all of the good reviews and getting sick from the food. read more
