In over 5 years I've never seen the issues some here are complaining about - the comments are by negative based bitchy people, you see too much of that today. The Hound has a chef doing the cooking and the food is fantastic, but be aware it is bar food. This is not a restaurant. Wednesday night it will be crowded because it's trivia night. The pork tacos are half price that night and are always amazing. The creamy spinach, sausage and potato soup is off the charts! Parking downtown is always an issue so you may have to park blocks away.

There were so many layers of flavor, and every bite depended on how you attacked it. I started by dragging my fork through the hoisin sauce and picking up some rice, fish, and slaw all together. The temperature and flavor combinations were remarkable with the hot saffron rice with just a hint of hoisin, the fresh, flaky fish, a pop of ginger, then the cooler, crisp crunch of carrots, cabbage, red onion, red pepper, and I think spinach. Every bite was different, the presentation was beautiful, and the meal was simply amazing. My husband ordered the Papa Burger, a clever play on "jalapeño popper." There's plenty of parking along the street and in the back in their small parking lot and they are known for their crabs and there were people coming and left and right picking up their orders and they do a really nice business here. The inside is always very clean. Tables are clean and it's a small place but it's very relaxing and you can bring your own bottle as well. So what a pleasure. Unlike most of the restaurants in Hanover I was met and welcomed at the front of the restaurant. You would think that was normal but not for Hanover.
