While we waited, someone came to our table and gave us disposable bowls, utensils, and sauces for our dishes. Our food came out a bit after that, and it smelled great! Right off the bat, the portions were big and we were eager to eat. The black garlic noodles were packed with fresh and crispy garlic and topped with a generous amount of veggies, tofu, and cheese. All of the dumplings were flavorful. The pan fried dumplings were crispy, and the chicken dumplings were juicy. Both were stuffed with their respective fillings, and they were even better dipped in the sauces they provided us. We had a good experience here, and would say that this spot is worth giving a try! I came in after the gym and a long walk just starving and dumplings sounded amazing passing by. I went in on a Saturday at around 12:05 pm and the line was fairly decently. After placing my order the wait was about 20 minutes. I felt bad for the gal at the front counter because not only is there a clear plastic barrier but they sounded like they were still doing some construction back in the kitchen area so it was hard to hear her soft voice. Other than that very sweet and efficient on her ordering. I just ordered their special XLB dumpling. Pricing is decent and filled me to a good level of full. Was extremely hot on the first bite which is great, but be careful. It will burn your tongue. I dipped it in both sauces provided and loved it. You order at the front and as the food is prepared, they will call out your order for you to pick it up. Everything came out warm and the flavors were decent. It was enough to satisfy the craving. A few things to note: -The pancake roll was thick and oily and a little more on the doughier side without the crispiness. - The XLB dumplings were served in a paper bowl which caused sticking to the paper and the dumplings ripped as we lifted them up. - Wontons with spicy sauce were not as spicy as we were hoping - If you order the black garlic fried noodles, I would recommend eating this last. The black garlic is dolloped on top and the color as you mix it in can be very off-putting against all the other dishes. Next, and most importantly, the XLB was so overcooked that ALL OF THEM broke as soon as we tried to pick any of them up, leaving all the soupy goodness in the bowl. So. The delicious part of the soup dumplings you're ordering is now just sitting on the bottom of your bowl on top of a soggy paper. Flavor-wise the food was fine. We gave it a try after wanting to go there for a while... It was not good. I'm really confused with the great reviews on here. Everything was lacking flavor. We got the black garlic noodles and the pork dumplings. Everything tasted like it was missing something but I didn't even like the dipping sauces they gave. I ended up using the soy sauce packets to give it a little more flavor but it just wasn't right. I also didn't like that fact that when you dine in they serve you on disposable paper containers, it just felt very wasteful. Why not just use plates that can be washed? With a small group you end up with 10+ containers to throw away. The bathroom is a one bathroom stall, placed awkwardly behind the counter, making it feel like you aren't supposed to go back there. There were about 20 different cleaning solutions lined up along the bathroom floor as well as boxes of toilet paper/seat covers (like in bulk from their supplier). The toilet took a very long time to fill the tank with water after the person before me had flushed making me wait to be able to flush. At least it was clean lol. I recommend eating there because if you do take out, the dumplings will start to stick to the paper in the takeout box, which will lead to the dumplings ripping and leaking. I wish they would have been larger with more soup. They were prone to tearing and not very flavorful. We also got the Kung pao chicken plate which comes with rice. We got it at medium spicy but I ended up putting more spice because it was not spicy at all. It was basically white rice with a bit of chicken and bell peppers (Kung Pao Chicken). It was also not very flavorful. Service: Nice cashier and girl that delivered our food! Thank you! Other: Inside and outside seating.
