I know zero about garage doors. So when it broke, I had no idea what to do. Jason from O'Donnel doors was awesome. He explained what happened (a broken spring) and then told me all the options. I like how straight forward and honest he was. They had to order a part and when it arrived, they came back right away and fixed my garage door quickly. Now the door works better than it did before the spring broke. Great company! read more

They deserve 5 stars! Shawn gave me an accurate quote based off of pictures only. He was able to come first thing in the morning, was on time, very efficient, very friendly, and did an excellent job. Garage door is totally fixed, and he even gave suggestions for maintenance. Honest, reliable work, great value, did not try to up-charge me on services I don't need. Will be recommending to all of my friends & family! read more

So professional and competent, hard to find these days! They showed up on time, they knew exactly what needed to be done and they were professional and pleasant, the way it should be. read more

Used my fidelity national insurance to get a garage tune up and was neat learning from Jason who was my technician today. I learned a ton. He did spot that my rollers in the house we bought which we are the second owners were used and abused and would wear out soon. He didn't hard sell me just warned me that they may wear out soon. I inquired if they were covered by the insurance which they were not covered but the price to replace wasn't bad. Since he was here I asked if it was an easy job and quick job so it saved him a trip and me any extra time from my schedule. Friendly family owned company. Good communication and used the yelp deal for the service. Thanks everyone. Seamless service which I love being able to business owner myself. read more

My garage door stopped working suddenly and Shawn from o'donnel doors came and found the issue right away and was able to fix it. He also fixed the wire that was hanging and put the emergency string on. O'donnel doors I highly recommend. Shaw exceeded my expectations. read more

I wanted to wait a month to see how the garage door fared after Shawn had fixed it and so far so good so here goes. I think I spoke to about a half dozen places all with 4-5 star ratings on Yelp to get an estimate on fixing my garage door. They all recommended I replace the entire door for thousands of dollars and with about a 4-6 week lead time. So for 4-6 weeks I would be unable to use my garage. Then came Shawn from o Donnel who took a look at a video of the problem and said he could try to fix the issue instead of replacing the whole door. He basically Macguyvered it and thought outside the box and now my door is back in business. He fixed it within hours so I didn't have to wait over a month to use the garage. Very impressed with how everything was handled. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be the first place to call if I ever have garage door issues again. read more

O'Donnel Doors AMAZING My garage door was able to open but not close. I contacted Ryan and he was able to stop by same day. He knew what he was doing. And I felt very comfortable. Gave all of my HOA Ryan's info. Plus we are off an alley. I was very blessed he came out. I had someone else come by before Ryan. I did not feel comfortable with his quote. I even called male neighbor over. But with O'Donnel Doors all is well read more

I recently had my garage door fixed by tech Shawn. He was polite and knowledgeable. My door was fixed and works good now. Thank you. read more

I was assigned to this company by my home warranty and had a terrible experience. They claimed my issue was "water moisture" even though no water damage was present. Also, it had just rained. My insurance refused the payment of the entire job. O'Donnel's then tried to upsell me over $1,000 to replace parts that were perfectly fine. I ended up getting the entire job done correctly by another company for under $150. Their staff was rude, and I would never use them again. read more

After getting several quotes for a garage torsion spring replacement for a spring that snapped after only 4yrs of use, Shawn provided prompt and excellent service at a very competitive price! Shawn/O'Donnel Doors was the only company that went the extra mile to contact our garage door manufacturer (Wayne Dalton) to get the correct spring specs for our garage door. I wouldn't hesitate to use O'Donnel doors again in the future for my garage door repair needs! read more

Talked to Maria over the phone and she was super kind and helpful in getting our appointment scheduled. Shawn came out and did a quick and excellent job replacing my torsion spring, and when we noticed the railings for my garage were crooked, he fixed it on the spot. Great service. read more

I first met Shawn though my home warranty company a couple years ago as my Garage Door Opener needed repairs. Shawn came out within a reasonable time of receiving the work order. He was professional and was concise with what repairs were needed. The work was completed in a timely manner, and everything worked fine afterwards. Since then, I've called Shawn out for various problems with the opener and the Garage Door itself. He has always responded as soon as his schedule permitted, and each repair has been completed flawlessly. The prices that he charges are reasonable, and he doesn't upsell extra's that are not necessary to complete the repairs. If you need any repairs to your Garage Opener or Door, I highly recommend Shawn O'Donnel Doors! Honest, professional, and very customer service orientated! read more

I received a quote from O'Donnel as part of a project I started. The quote and subsequent communication was straightforward, and responses were quick. When the rep came to complete the work, he was friendly and worked quickly. Would definitely recommend. read more

I was assigned this contractor from my warranty company. If you are assigned this company demand you that you are assigned another company! They are the worse! The tech was nice enough but it started not looking good after they said my board was fried and weren't sure if the warranty company would approve it. The reality is that they knew it would require a new garage door opener and didn't want anything to do with it because they couldn't do it for 85 bucks. Lol. That's not how the system works. It's a warranty for a reason and they chose to be a contractor. They are just rolling the dice hoping all the jobs are small and require no work. It all came to a head when I tried to reach out again 3 weeks after their initial visit! My warranty company approved the repair. They were not answering my multiple calls so I texted them and still no response. So I called from a different number and instantly picked up! These scammers were screening my calls and were purposely not answering! So shady and unprofessional and cowardly. Didn't even think to give me a call to explain their side. In the end I called my warranty company and told them the story and recommended they never assign anyone to this company again as they are scammers. I told them I refuse to let them in my house again and to reassign me. They did and however the next one goes it cannot be worse than this scammer company. read more

Shawn is a fantastic garage door repairman. He fixed what other companies didn't come close to repairing. He was so much fun to talk to and watch him do his trade. It was a true pleasure meeting him! He even gave up his Sunday morning. Elyse Gifford read more

AVOID!!! This place was assigned via home warranty which right away tells you they dont get enough business via a word of mouth - red flag. They are not a member of BB nor accredited by better business bureau. They screwed me over like other reviews said by not performing a real last fix and lying to home warranty company about it. Avoid at all costs. They also will come work on your garage without you knowing they are even there. They do not take pictures of video before hand so they have nothing to show the home warranty company. And the guy I would later see when reviewing home surveillance damaged part of my door. read more

I was assigned this company through my home warranty. They were scheduled to come out on March 8, 2024 at 9 AM with a technician named Hector. They showed up March 1, 2024 calling me asking where I was. I explained to them that they were scheduled to come out the following Friday. He apologized and said there must've been some mixup. I took the day off on March 8, 2024 and nobody showed up. Nobody called. Then I receive a bill from my home warranty company for $85! I disputed the charge, but O'Donnell doors said that I know showed and the home warranty company, Fidelity, who will never use again, sided with O'Donnell doors. Not only did I have to pay the $85 but they never even offered to come back out and look at the garage door! BUYER BEWARE! I would never use this company or Fidelity home warranty Again, as I stated before the appointment was for March 8, 2024. Clearly this company will not own up to their mistakes. Is this really a company you want to work with? read more

I contacted Shawn at O'Donnel Doors Inc. over the weekend when our garage door wouldn't open, Although they were closed , Shawn responded right away with his cell phone # which I greatly appreciated. Our garage door ended up working so I didn't need to hire him but I appreciated his quick response. I will use this company in the future. read more

Shawn was great. He knew exactly how to fix the garage. He fixed an incorrectly installed (heavy) garage door by himself. He also made sure everything else was working and even greased the hinges so it is much quieter. The price was reasonable when compared to other companies. However, Shawn's expertise is what makes O'Donnel Doors better than the rest. Thank you to Shawn and O'Donnel Doors, I can't recommend them enough! read more

I don't review often, so for what it's worth please consider this "special": Shawn was originally called out as a function of my home warranty kicking in to cover my motor not functioning. On the warranty's dime, he replaced nearly every part over the course of a couple of weeks and just wouldn't work. In the end, this would have been a battle between me and the warranty company (good luck) and I would likely still be fighting to get a garage door motor. Instead, Shawn called the manufacturer and pulled all the strings he could... he fought for the replacement and wound up getting an entirely new, very upgraded unit from the company. Warranty had nothing to do with it. It was all Shawn. And... he installed it no charge. You don't see that kind of service these days. Above and beyond, and sincerely appreciated. Thank you Shawn. read more

This is not a good company. They were sent from my home warranty and are only out for themselves. From the moment he arrived you can tell he was rushing to leave, was annoyed I was asking questions, and looking for any possible issue he could find to turn around and call it "secondary damage"so that the warranty wouldn't pay for it and I would have to pay his company out of pocket for a new unit and more than likely up-charge me in the process. I got a second opinion and everything on his "list of issues" turns out is simply due to my unit being over 20 year old, not secondary damage, and therefore should be covered by my warranty. The second company came and the level of service and attention to detail was night and day compared to odonell doors. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a second opinion before giving them a dime of your money. read more

I was referred to Shawn O'Donnel of O'Donnel Doors, by a colleague. We are savvy in terms of pricing, service and knowledge base of our vendors we use for business and clients and our personal properties. I wish I had called them SOONER! In every instance the service has been outstanding. The pricing VERY fair and importantly the WORKMANSHIP AND DIAGNOSING the problem are Five star. I was more than happy to write this review. read more

My garage door opener stopped receiving signals. They asked about changes that could be interfering with the signal. I told them nothing had changed before and after it stopped working. They did not check the circuit board in the garage door opener which can cause this kind of failure, but still wrote a report of blocked signals, despite evidence to the contrary. Due to their lack of due diligence, my home warranty coverage was denied. read more

My garage door was working intermittently, and I had done everything I could do. Submitted a service request through my home warranty, and the job w2as assigned to O'Donnel Doors. Hector arrived on time, greeted me friendly, and set to work. He very quickly discovered a sensor wire that had been pulled too tight and had become frayed and was shorting out. Hector corrected the issues and the opener runs flawlessly. I learned that the sensors are only required in CA, and so are not covered, but Hector corrected the wiring problem as a courtesy. We are very pleased with their service. read more

These guys are top notch, I was referred to them by my Fidelity Home Warranty. My double garage door would not open, making a noise but wouldn't open. Maria, their office person was great! She found out their repairman was in my area and added me to his afternoon workload. Jason came and took a look it was a broken gear sprocket, repaired it...all good as new. I had a guest coming same day and didn't want them having to deal with a broken garage door, not fun. I never expected they would get out to my house the same day and be able to fix it and not have to order parts etc. Happy to have a tech like Jason to quickly assess and fix. I highly recommend this group from the responsiveness of their front office to completion of the repair, I couldn't have asked for any better. Good job O'Donnell Doors! read more

I will be saving their number! I had a bad experience with my warranty company and the first contractor they sent my claim to never called and there was no way to get a hold of them. So they reassigned my order to O'Donnell. They were responsive, compassionate about the issues I was having with the warranty company and got me an appt the next day. The technician, Jason, was on time. He was nice and very efficient. It was nice to have a good ending to a bad situation. Would definitely use this company again. read more

Bad customer service, dishonest techs, rude and unprofessional. The owner is not professional and his techs come unprepared with no intentions of getting the work done. If you get them after filing a home warranty claim, as for a different company. Beware. If you contact them and it's out pocket they treat you differently than home warranty customers. They don't want business from home warranty companies. Pay attention to the reviews. 1 star experiences for home warranty customers. You've been warned, Shawn doesn't want our business and is always defensive in his responses but never picks up home warranty customer calls. His techs are his priority not us home warranty customers. His website talks about customer service but he isn't providing any customer service, unless he's getting paid directly through you and not a warranty customer. read more

The motor was just fine before he came so they made it worse. I will be calling my insurance company that sent them .. never again.
