In summary: straight forward, customer focused experience Here's the story if you want the details. Pro-line was the 4th company I contacted to get my dying garage door motor replaced. First guy never answered. Second guy showed up and took a look, never sent me an estimate because he said he was too busy. I found a third company that showed up but the technician didn't know much so I couldn't ask many questions, he had to call his uncle for information, and I requested an estimate from the uncle but took over 24 hours to send it, by which time I'd contacted Pro-line. I received a pre-estimate immediately in Yelp. We arranged for Jimmy to come by the next day. I'd done lots of research so had lots of questions. I'm going from like a 20 year old garage motor to these new fancy schmancy motors. Jimmy showed up exactly on time and was really informative when answering my questions. Gave me all the details for the three options. Chain vs belt, rail systems, warranties, controls, wear and tear, and so on. This consult was super straightforward and informative and it helped me come to the best decision for my situation, and he wasn't trying to be salesy, exactly how customer service should go. I selected the chain motor option (#2), a little pricier but worth the durability in a garage that gets extremely hot in summer. He emailed me the quote while we were standing in my garage. We scheduled the appt for 3 days later (today!) and he showed up exactly on time again. Pulled up at 8:45 and was done at 10:30. He showed me how to use everything and all about the new installations: garage motor, rail system, wall button, clickers, mobile app, and new sensors. And informed me about the optimizations he did to the overall setup so that everything was working like new and not squeaking any longer. Also took the old system away, which some companies charge for. As for the product, it's a LiftMaster chain motor that has a backup power source for when the electricity goes out, which is great because there's no other access points to the garage. Even though it's a chain motor, it's really quiet, like 50 times quieter than my old motor. It connects to wifi, and the MyQ app, which means I can use my phone to open and close the door, AND also check in the app if I left it open. The motor can now auto lift the door if it tries to close onto something that is not right in the line of the sensor - the door will go back up. My last motor didn't have that option and my old door broke! (On my friend's car bumper) Great experience getting my garage working again. These guys are the best and Jimmy is the man! Wife had a mishap with our garage door. First of all just dealing with garage malfunction is just an added stress. But went through couple reviews and went with Proline. I called and Jimmy supervisor responded and was professional and very patient. He came about 9:30am did a through Inspection of the damaged garage and give me two options. 1. Short and immediate temporary repair and 2. Long term investment. I debated on going with the second one even though it was pricier but instead went for the temporary fix due to my financial strain at this moment. At 11:30 am Mike came in and replaced with 2 new coil springs, 2 new cables, and also a strut to reinforce the garage door. Mike is friendly, sharp and very detailed on the work. I would very highly recommend this company to anyone in need of a garage door or garage door opener system. I initially called them a few months ago when my garage door was giving me problems closing. Mike came out, serviced the door (oiling, etc.) then readjusted my sensors. My door opener brand (Chamberlain) apparently has light sensitive sensors and I have a west facing garage door, so in the afternoon, the door won't close because the direct light makes he sensors react as though something is there. I have to then "force close" the door using the keypad on the garage wall to close it. Though the process worked, it was a bit I'd a pain! The other day, my remote controls when kaput and the only way I could open and close the garage was on the garage wall panel. That was the last straw for me. I called them to replace the old opener as I'd had quite enough! They scheduled a time for the next morning to come replace it. Mike came out again and in under 1 hour, he was finished! He's quick, friendly and knowledgeable. I seriously wanted him to throw that old opener as far as he could, that's how tired and frustrated I was. Mike remained professional and didn't give it the old heavy ho onto some train tracks! LOL! I also appreciated that Mike didn't try to upsell me when I first called as he easily could have. Instead, he just tried to make it better and save me some money. It's rare you find honest people like that. I was all too happy to call them back to make sure they got my business when I was ready for my upgrade! The new door is smooth as silk! Super quite and hella fancy pants! I was finally able to find a good garage door repair company! We've gone through 3 different companies and Pro-Line Garage was the first/only company to realize that the spring sizes that the prior companies had used was incorrect (long story there...). They were also able to fix the track alignment issue that was causing the garage door to continuously shift to the left. I called them ahead of time to make sure they can install that brand and it was smooth. They came to my house on time, finished in about 2 hours.
