Our garage door spring broke and we were dead in the water. Called Ed & Son's Garage Doors and he was so nice and offered to come out within the hour! When he arrived he quickly diagnosed the problem, gave us a quote, and a few options. We chose to replace the spring and ride out our old motor and Ed was so nice about it. He serviced our ancient motor, oiled it(?), cleaned up the sensors, and our garage door has NEVER been quieter! Who knew?! It only took about an hour for all of this. They were very efficient! He also told us that when that motor is finally done to give him a call, and he went over all the things that would be replaced when we do eventually get a new motor. I can see why this service has all great reviews! My 30 year old garage door opener died and I needed someone to replace it. I called Ed at 10 am and he said he would be at my house at 11, which he and his son were. They explained my options for replacement very clearly and provided very fair prices. An hour and a half later, my new garage door opener was perfectly installed with two new remotes. They hauled away my old one and left my garage perfectly clean. Ed was great to work with. My parents' garage door opener started malfunctioning a couple of days ago (wall button blinked nonstop, door would no longer open or close). Because my parents have had their opener for many years, I was worried that calling a repairperson would mean expensive repairs or "We can't fix this--you need a new opener (which I happen to sell)."
