My girls are 4 & 8 and have been going to her for about 3 yrs now. Dr Billings is at Hoyt Dental, a medium-sized dental office (all ages, not pediatric-specific) on Murrieta Hot Springs near Whitewater. (They are tucked way in the back corner - look for their big red apple logo.) The office itself is clean and well-decorated inside, so don't be put off by the fact that this shopping center is "transitional" with liquor store, bail bondsman, and a few other questionable-looking shops. It's not like it's dangerous or anything....just not typical neighbors you'd think of for a dentist. As for Dr Billings herself -- she is SO warm and comforting. Everything about her is just totally reassuring. She is caring and competent. The dental assistants are also very helpful and warm. She uses clear, simple language that kids can understand and is mindful of not scaring them, while at the same time never lying to them or being deceptive (e.g. she'd never say "this isn't going to hurt!" if it is going to hurt.) We had a dental emergency once and she returned my call at 10 p.m. on a Saturday night. She asked a bunch of questions and determined that it could wait until her regular hours on Tuesday (she sees patients on Tuesdays & Fridays.)

The doctor seemed a little rushed but she was sufficiently patient with my daughter to get the job done so I let it slide. About a week later it's time for our second appointment set for the afternoon. Things started OK up until the Novocain injection when my girl became upset and nervous but not crying. When it came time for the actual injection the tears started flowing with some whimpering but with patience on the dentist's part, I believe things would have been fine. The doctor got about half the injection in and then gave up and referred us to another doctor because our little girl was crying. The doctor seemed frustrated and short tempered. So in the end nothing was accomplished except maybe the beginnings of a phobia. Maybe if the appointment was set for the morning and not in the afternoon before a long weekend, when the doctor is fresh, things might have turned out better. I wonder if Doctor Billings is burnt out from working with young patients, especially those who are nervous and need a little more care. On a positive note the support staff at Hoyt Dental was friendly and helpful.

Since I…read morewanted to start off on a good note with my oral health I decided to call this dentist several times and this office never picked up my phone call nor had a recording of any sort to at least state they were out of the office. So sad that these days one can't find a dentist that has a professional staff/office to take care of of the office in general. Because of I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone I've decided I'm not going to join this dentist's practice as my plan was to do so. I can't even believe this but I guess it's better to find this out early instead of finding out once I've joined the practice. Due to my anxiety about dentistry and trust in medical professionals, I was taken advantage of for years at this office. This dentist will scrutinize your insurance and then convince you to have unnecessary procedures so that he can secure as much of your insurance money as possible. For example-he convinced us to redo an already existing crown that had no issues simply because it was old. I questioned him about it, and he admitted that it was not medically necessary. That was the last time my husband and I ever had anything to do with this office. Additionally, his skills are outdated and his equipment is antiquated. His skill level was discovered by my new dentist that was mortified at the quality of his work that she saw when she examined both my husband and my teeth. We have since found a competent dentist, and are astonished at the difference an actual modern, smart, kind dentist is actually like. It is entirely my fault that this happened to me and my husband. I should have been more diligent, less trusting, and more questioning. I'm glad I finally got wind of what was going on and urge anyone contemplating getting work done here to please seek other dentists. There are many choices and you only have so many teeth. It is clear that this dentist does not care about his patients and their dental health. He cares about how to use each patient as a commodity which I feel is unethical and fraudulent.

Dr Roberts is very patient and my son always got to pick out a toy from the treasure chest after each visit when he was little. My grandmother on the other hand hates dentists but would still go to Dr. Roberts. She was NOT an easy patient but Dr. Roberts treated her with kindness and respect. His staff would spend extra time getting her teeth cleaned just right since she would forget to brush and floss regularly. We would recommend Dr. Roberts and his staff to anyone.

He was very satisfied with her work and bedside manners that I went to her when I knew there was something wrong with my own teeth. I had been going to a different dentist since childhood and then it was one problem after then next. I decided to try out a new dentist but at least it was one with a good recommendation. See I am a RN myself and know the importance of thoroughly teaching a patient. Dr. Mathur was patient with my and answered all of my questions. One problem I had was a horrible pain where my old dentist had done a root canal and put in a metal post. She sent me over to an oral surgeon to have a second opinion and he put me on a heavy antibiotic which took care of my problem. Another one of my visits I complained to Dr. Mathur that I was having bad pain along my gums. I pointed to her where it was and she wasn't able to see anything on x-ray but we both were able to more or so pinpoint where the pain was starting from. She started to take out a filling that my previous dentist did and said that he did not remove all of the cavity before he put in the filling and that it was really deep. She drilled until it was out; which required a root canal. She was gentle and she made sure I kept myself occupied with television shows. After the anesthetic wore off I felt no more pain. I have been very pleased with the services that I have gotten from this dentist that I recommended my father to her as well. He drives from Huntington Beach just for her because she really is a good dentist. All in all I recommend this dentist. She does good work and doesn't try to make a buck off of you.

Not only was it a truly smooth transition over it was a great choice! From the first time I called to make my appointment for a cleaning the receptionist was so polite in answering all my questions about insurance, etc. The hygienists here are all so nice and gentle. I am a big baby and as many people are very nervous about going to see the dentist for even a cleaning. But I was quickly put to rest and felt very confident I was getting top notch advice from Dr. Tessier and care from his staff. When I switched to this office I had a list of extensive dental issues I needed to address. He was very helpful in recommending specialists for me to see, and coordinating repairs through them and also his office. I appreciated his conservative approach to what needed to be done. He was very considerate of my budget and timeline. Thank you for helping keep my smile beautiful! :)

Dishonest and unethical…read more I went in for a routine cleaning...the hygentist blugeoned my gums dilberately so I all of the sudden needed a "deep scale cleaning". A free cleaning then became $500 Doctor is an inconsiderate oaf. Shouted over patients and announced "I have a hot one over here" which was innapropriate and embassasing.
