For years, I hesitated to address it properly because traditional dentists kept pushing to simply redo the root canal rather than remove the problematic tooth. I finally found Dr. Butler, and it was truly a blessing. During the extraction process, we discovered a shocking leftover from the original procedure: a piece of a drill bit still stuck in the root canal from the previous 'cleaning and refilling.' No wonder my body had been struggling for so long! Dr. Butler's entire approach is incredibly thorough, gentle, and holistic--she truly considers the whole body, not just the tooth. By following her detailed protocol after extraction, my healing went exactly as it should, without complications. I'm now thrilled with my beautiful new ceramic implant. The color matching by the specialist was meticulous and spot-on--it looks and feels completely natural. A million thanks to Dr. Butler! She is a true gift to anyone dealing with chronic dental or health issues tied to old root canals. If you're considering a biological/holistic dentist who prioritizes your overall well-being, you won't regret choosing her. I couldn't be happier with the results and the peace of mind she's given me.

I was afraid to go through the dental x-ray because of the pain and discomfort. Moreover, I was afraid to have a root canal because that is new to me. So I decided to just have my teeth removed. But Dr. Arkhavan's calm yet confident and sincere demeanor removed my fear. Before he could discuss with me the two options to choose, I was already convinced to go for the dental treatment that Dr. Arkhavan would prefer based on his expertise. Dr. Arkhavan understands the patients and he allows them to freely choose the treatment they would prefer. From my own experience, Dr. Arkhavan is indeed very skilled, calm and thorough. His actions proves he knows what he's doing and he does it very well! In addition, Dr. Arkhavan rubbed a generous amount of numbing gel on my gums and waited for about for 10 minutes before he injected anesthesia so that I barely noticed the needle on my gums. He also focused on what I came there for so that I don't have to wait for the next visit. Right away he treated my infected teeth and prescribed antibiotics and pain relievers. I was very moved and thankful. Dr. Arkhavan's staff were very friendly and welcoming! They made me feel at home. They were kind, caring and approachable. I could speak and reason with them comfortably. They made it easy for me to communicate with them. They were gentle and listened with compassion and that really calmed me. It means a lot.  Popup Smiles' dental office in San Juan Capistrano has a clean, elegant and calming environment. I like how it is a dental office but it has a fresh aroma that gives a feeling of comfort and relaxation. It's like a perfect way to ease one's mind. I felt so blessed to have found them.

Regardless of the course of action, he always thoroughly explains procedures and clearly defines my options and his recommendations. He is always thinking ahead to ensure improved outcomes. His knowledge is impressive and he's exceedingly skilled. He continually informs his patients of progress and results throughout the procedure. Moreover, he provides comprehensive and detailed post-procedure reports which greatly assist my general dentist with coordinated care. It is optional, but for those who care to, patients can view the doctor's expertise on a ceiling mounted, color monitor during the procedure. Personally, I find it fascinating, and I think it serves to eliminate assumptions and de-mystify perceptions. He has a calming 'bedside manner' and is extraordinarily friendly. Assistants Anika and Kyle instill additional confidence, and Front Office Manager Sala is terrific. All are very friendly and professional. Hours later, I was in excruciating pain and nobody answered the phone or responded to my voice messages. There was no answering service. My son's dentist, Grace Dental, who has also treated me referred me. I called them and they said I should call Cornerstone, that does not care about patients once they have their money. I assumed the referral would be trustworthy like Grace Dental. Cornerstone had a staff of six sitting in the front office. I assume this is marketing and management as I never saw or spoke to any of them later. By the time I found out about the antibiotics, it was too late and other medical issues create problems with antibiotics, but I can take if needed. I never saw Dr. Edalot during this visit awake. I had seen him briefly during a pre-op appointment. My caregiver called him Dr. Hottie. That was the only time I saw him, so that is a moot point. I saw the anesthesiologist who was with me after the procedure. I had no way to call him. I learned later he told my helper he did not believe in narcotics. I never knew this. Defensive medicine and insurance payment are what is paramount. I am almost 70, and through numerous hospitalizations never thought of becoming a drug addict. Plus, I have to take benedryl with narcotics or I will itch and this makes my asthma worse. I imagine the anesthesiologist and dentist also ensure they and their families do not endure post-operative pain. The paying patient does not matter. I learned later that after my post, antibiotics and 75 mg of Tramadol, which does not exist was phoned in from my CVS app. I assume Cornerstone did not answer CVS when they called. Either, they are ignorant as to medication or did this on purpose. I called Grace Dental who told me to call Cornerstone that never answered. I am waiting for them to return my call about completing the work. Maybe, they won't call me back because I complained, not about them, because they were great and very patient. I hope so. I need more work done. Dentists legally are not required to treat disabled patients as MDs are. Cornerstone had numerous five star glowing reviews. I know there are numerous ways this can occur. I assume the other reviewers did not have my experience, if they were real patients. The honest and fair practice would be to inform patients that they will have pain when the medication wears off and staff will not answer phone or return calls.
