Dr. Manesh and his team, including Nazi, Medis, Maryam, Sana, Medi, and Dr. I, provided an exceptional experience from start to finish!! Dr. Manesh's bedside manner is unmatched, making me feel completely at ease and confident throughout the process. While Dr. Manesh was on vacation, he texted me over the weekend to check up on me after my surgery. Genuinely I have never received such exceptional care!! Since I'm extremely nervous, I requested to be sedated. Their anesthesiologist, Dr. I, was amazing!!! I received comprehensive care including bone grafting, PRP, a gum graft, and implants, and finally crown placement through his incredible lab technician, Medi, who was in office to go over every detail and help me choose the perfect shade and shape for my teeth. I even put the whole team under a bit of pressure because of my upcoming wedding, and they delivered, helping me achieve the perfect smile for the big day. My dad also had surgeries for the same procedure in the past, and he's very jealous he didn't get to do it with Dr. Manesh, given how above and beyond he was for me. I've already referred him to many people, and if anyone is looking for an oral surgeon, I cannot recommend him enough, I'm extremely picky, and he's handled every request and question with complete ease. He was extremely rough, I believe he chipped my lower tooth and damaged the enamel on several upper teeth. The grafting didn't take on the upper quadrant. He was supposed to use collagen and I don't believe he did, no gum ever grew and looks like I've never had anything done there (when I went back for a follow up, and I mentioned the upper quadrant that he did, he looked at me weird like he couldn't remember even doing it! I have a ledge at the gum line where he did the lower grafting and that tooth is sensitive now never had sensitivity before :( Every time I went in for a follow up ( he tried to do some laser work for it) I stop him because I don't trust him touching my mouth ever again! He is always bouncing around from room to room and never gives you his full attention. My sister had exact issues I had with gum recession, she went somewhere reputable and her results were perfect. :( I would not recommend this office.

My experience here has been extremely painful and traumatizing, still going through it. Sharing in hopes to help others not fall for all these reviews they pressure you to do. I'm a pretty reasonable person and understand doctors are not perfect, they make mistakes too. But it's owning your mistake & making the effort to correct it is what makes a great doctor, but Dr. Horiyat failed me miserably. I went in to have an onlay tooth checked out & a root canal tooth removed. They lied about viewing my 2 recent CBCT. You can't go in blindly & extract teeth without seeing the dept of the infection without a CBCT. She said she viewed my recent CBCT so there was no need for a 3rd CBCT. Dr. Orest also said before surgery he viewed it but never did. This is critical because day of surgery they failed to clean the deep infection area of my tooth extraction causing an infection. Worst part was the bone graft I requested NOT to be placed after tooth extraction because I knew my body would reject it due to health issues. I asked Dr. Horiyat at least 3-4 times during our visits I did NOT want to risk a failed bone graft & she agreed. I also mentioned it to Dr. Orest when I first met him and he said it was fine he would use double PRF rather than bone graft. I personally called Dr. Orest before surgery again to ask about surgery dates and to confirm NO bone graft, my husband was a witness. Day of surgery Steve handed me paperwork to sign & realized they had put me down for a bone graft after I told them many times no bone graft. Again, I asked Steve to correct it and that I did not want a bone graft. After speaking to Dr. Orest they corrected to no bone graft. Once in the surgery room Dr. Horiyat not once checked in to talk to Dr. Orest or verify everything was going as planned. Once tooth was extracted my mouth still open Dr. Orest said I should get a bone graft so I don't get a dry socket. I said, "Dr. we spoke about this many times and u said it was fine without bone graft. I have health issue & I really don't need or want a bone graft I just want to be out of pain with this root canal." I was in a vulnerable place, in pain & in surgery when he says, "Don't come crying to me if you get a dry socket." He continued telling me he thinks I should get one (I think he was more worried about having enough bone graft for an implant I wasn't interested in). I told him I was scared and that I really did not want one but would have to let him since he was scaring me and I was already in surgery. After a week pain and inflammation began to get worst than before extracting tooth. I made several appt telling them something wasn't right and that I had pain but Dr. Horiyat was always rushed at every appt and said that I have to give it time to heal. She also says "I don't even think Dr. Orest put a bone graft in you." What??!!!! How irresponsible to say such a lie and not know what your surgeon did!!! Its negligence!! Many times I was telling her my body started getting low grade fevers & told her I thought it could be infected & she once again said, "if you had an infection u would be on the floor with pain and fever." Umm, yes! That's exactly what was happening!! She also said it was all in my head to heal and that if I thought negatively I would prevent my body from healing." I'm myself into holistic & healing but OMG common I'm in pain & with fever!! I went to other holistic dentist and periodontist for more opinions & they all confirmed the bone graft not only failed and was necrotizing surrounding tissue and that they didn't fully clean the socket sight causing more inflammation. I brought them the x rays from other dentist but nothing was done. Per my request I even tried coming in for ozone injections to reduce pain but I had to pay for it even though it was due to their surgery.I now have a swollen gland on the right side, around their procedure that hurts all the time. I have given them the chance to do the right thing asking them to correct or to refund my money because now I need another surgery to correct which is costing way more due to the damage. Yes, she knows some holistic approaches & that they didn't mean to add this pain to me but it saddens me that they lack in empathy. They left me in horrible pain & infection not wanting to correct it, knowing I told them NO bone graft. If things go wrong, don't expect them to admit or help u. EVERY SINGLE DAY I'm in so much pain but I also have so much trauma I don't trust dentist anymore. I'm scared to get any surgery now. Dr. Horiyat and Dr. Orest, I hope you and your loved ones NEVER go through the pain and gaslighting you put me through.

There was change after the initial in office treatment but I wanted to keep going seeing how white my teeth could get. Ps after the first treatment your teeth do get sensitive but after a day the pain isn't as bad, and once your done with the 3-4 days of at home whitening, it's not sensitive. I was able to drink cold fluids and eat hot foods the next morning after in patient whitening. I was referred by Panrod Dental because they believed I had periodontal disease in October 2025…read more However, SoCal Perio Implants isn't very transparent about how they charge new patients, or everyone there was just clueless? During my first visit for consultation, their team told me they'd only charge $99 of CT scan for this visit since I was referred by Panrod. I agreed, and after they checked my CT scan, Dr. Giuseppe Carvelli essentially told me it's better to redo my old implant in order to fix the problem; however, their billing team couldn't give me a quote before I walked out from their office that day. Anyways, I got their email next day. SoCal Perio quoted me $8000+ to redo my implant. I then called them back to ask for detailed explanations simply because the email I received did not seem very organized. They wanted me to revisit the office to discuss further. Meanwhile I decided to check with a different dental office for a second opinion, and WOW, the new dentist told me my old implant was just fine. Turned out there's no gum disease at all and I do not need to replace my old implant. All I needed was a new crown. They quoted me right away. It costs $1000 top. I still visited SoCal Perio the for second time and hoped to discuss with Dr. Giuseppe Carvelli. I did not get to see him, so I talked to his assistant to find out if there's a possibility of a different treatment plan? The assistant immediately asked me if it's about money? He said someone from their billing team can help me - maybe offering me a generous discount or something if I can't afford it. I said I'd still like to discuss with a dentist instead of a billing team member. Unfortunately none of the dentists there was available to talk to me, so I left and went with a different dental office to fix my tooth and it cost $900 to get a new crown. Crisis solved. Fast forward 6 months later, I got an email from Socal Perio Implants saying I owe them $304 - it did not have a breakdown or any details. It said "carry-over balance" instead. For some reasons their emails are always very confusing and unclear. I called them to find out more, and Jenny from their front desk said she'd email me a copy of the detailed receipt right away. Even so, I got a blank email with only her business card attached. I had to call again for the file. And that one visit was $99 for the CT scan + $205 limited oral evaluation. No one from SoCal Perio office ever talked about the $205 evaluation fee. I wish they could be more honest about it beforehand. Anyways, basically they charge $300 for a simple consultation. You get to talk to the dentist for 10 mins and they try real hard to sell treatments that you don't necessarily need. It's really sad to find out this is how they run their business. Think twice before you visit SoCal Perio Implants.

From the front desk to the hygienist and dental assistants to Dr. East, everyone here is off the chart friendly, helpful, caring and professional. These folks get an A+. As for my prosthetics, they get two separate grades. For aesthetics, they get an A+ as well. I couldn't be happier with the way they look. I now don't hesitate to smile or laugh in public, and I even get the occasional compliment. I do a lot of public speaking and presentations, and my new teeth have really boosted my self-confidence and self-esteem. For functionality, I have to give them a D+. The images they show you of people biting into an apple are really not accurate. I've had mine for two years now and I still struggle to bite through a soft bagel. I knew I would have to alter my diet, which I was happily prepared to do, but I didn't realize eating would forever be challenging, uncomfortable, or a bit painful. I guess if you average the two grades, they do get a 'B,' but I'm on the fence as to whether I'd make the same choice if I had it to do over again.
