Dr. Parham Arkhavan and his staff did an amazing job!  Two of my upper teeth had been painful for five years but because I'm terrified to go to the dentist, I bore with the pain until it got infected. I was afraid to go through the dental x-ray because of the pain and discomfort. Moreover, I was afraid to have a root canal because that is new to me. So I decided to just have my teeth removed. But Dr. Arkhavan's calm yet confident and sincere demeanor removed my fear. Before he could discuss with me the two options to choose, I was already convinced to go for the dental treatment that Dr. Arkhavan would prefer based on his expertise. Dr. Arkhavan understands the patients and he allows them to freely choose the treatment they would prefer. From my own experience, Dr. Arkhavan is indeed very skilled, calm and thorough. His actions proves he knows what he's doing and he does it very well! In addition, Dr. Arkhavan rubbed a generous amount of numbing gel on my gums and waited for about for 10 minutes before he injected anesthesia so that I barely noticed the needle on my gums. He also focused on what I came there for so that I don't have to wait for the next visit. Right away he treated my infected teeth and prescribed antibiotics and pain relievers. I was very moved and thankful. Dr. Arkhavan's staff were very friendly and welcoming! They made me feel at home. They were kind, caring and approachable. I could speak and reason with them comfortably. They made it easy for me to communicate with them. They were gentle and listened with compassion and that really calmed me. It means a lot.  Popup Smiles' dental office in San Juan Capistrano has a clean, elegant and calming environment. I like how it is a dental office but it has a fresh aroma that gives a feeling of comfort and relaxation. It's like a perfect way to ease one's mind. I felt so blessed to have found them. read more

We love this dental practice! All the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. I was always nervous going to the dentist, but with this practice I never feel judged when I have issues with my teeth. just now This is the first time I'm writing review and I feel Dr.Parham Akhavan deserves it for his professional approach and his innate talent towards dental procedure. I initially had no idea of extraction and crown procedures,but when I had my initial visit to the doctor, I personally felt safe and trust towards doctor and his work. I highly recommend if you want to do the dental procedure with the doctor Dr. Parham Akhavan - Reflection dental.( Recently they changed their location to Santa ana) If I have options to give more stars I would definitely give him 100 stars and even more. Dr. Akhavan is a great dentist that understands a patients needs to feel in control of his or her treatment. Honesty and Compassion is his character. A good dentist will always be honest and compassionate but this is also what I've received from this entire staff. Dentists educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment and preventative care and he brings this to his patients each visit. Being able to explain technical information is part of the job and Dr. Akhavan and his staff always take time to express knowledge of the equipment they will be using, as well as their skills in the use of that equipment. I had a gold onlay come off in July and was looking for a local dentist to cement it back on. Since I was taking off on a two-week trip back east the next day, I found Dr. Akhavan at Reflection Dental in San Juan Capistrano. His office got me in immediately and took care of my problem in literally minutes. I was so impressed with their friendliness and excellent service that I decided to make them my new dental care team. I then returned for my next scheduled cleaning appointment yesterday and had a thorough cleaning from Trish, his RDH and exam afterwards with Dr. Akhavan. BEST DENTIST I have ever seen! Remarkable! One of a kind! Dr. Akhavan and his team are Fantastic. The office is very clean and they treat you like family. I am 50 years old, 2 months ago I fell and hit my mouth on the hard kitchen floor knocking out my 2 front teeth, and cracking 2 other teeth. I was hysterical!! My husband called Dr. Akhavan for an emergency visit. Dr. Akhavan said, put her teeth in milk and come right now. When I arrived, without any hesitation Dr. Akhavan went straight to work. He took x-rays and found out I fractured my gum bone as well. He did 3 root canals, drained a blood clot and placed my two front teeth back in my mouth. Dr. Akhavan was hoping my two front teeth would reintegrate so I would not have to have implants. Every two weeks for two months I returned to see Dr. Akhavan for x-rays and for him to examine my teeth. I got the good news from him my two front teeth did reintegrate and were finally strong enough for him to begin repairing my smile. He drilled my front 4 teeth down to put on temporary teeth. My new permanent teeth came yesterday and Dr. Akhavan put them on today! My smile is BEAUTIFUL and I am crying. They look so Natural. I never saw Dr. Akhavan hesitate on what he needed to do to repair my smile. I honestly did not know what to expect. I have always had my natural God given teeth so to have something else was unimaginable. I don't want to say this because nothing is "perfect", but Dr. Akhavan did amazing work on my teeth and there is nothing that I would change. DR. AKHAVAN IS MY FAMILY DENTIST FOREVER!! Dr. A is an amazing dentist. I had a cavity on my front teeth last year and Dr. A was very gentle when numbing me. - I don't normally write reviews but I have to share my amazing experience with this dentist. I went in for an implant consultation and from the minute I walked in I felt so welcome. There was a short wait time which I appreciated and they made sure to inform me on details about my insurance which is something I've never experienced before. Dr. Akhavan and his assistant made me feel more comfortable in my decision to do implants. They were both patient with me and answered all of my questions. I had a root canal in a back tooth which then required a new crown be built and fitted. I had 2 visits - one for an impression and another for the fitting. Both times the staff and Dr. Akhavan were very friendly and professional. The fitting was pretty quick, no numbing required, and I was out within 30 minutes. Dr Akhavan's attention to detail is extraordinary, making sure the fit wasn't just "good enough" but perfect in every way. Dr. Akhavan has a very friendly chair-side manner and explains things in terms regular people can understand. There were no pushy upsells or anything, and I felt I was a valued patient. Dr. A knows his stuff when it comes to general dentistry like crowns and fillings as well as cosmetic dental work. I have some teeth that were stained through Tetracycline as a child, and found out that veneers are an excellent option for me where teeth whitening had little effect. Thank you Dr. A :-) read more

Last week I had my first cleaning with Dr. Akhavan and was extremely pleased. The most clean and sterile dental office I have ever been in. Super friendly staff and Dr. Akhavan explained, in normal "speak", what I could expect. After that initial experience I knew he would be the one to correct my not so perfect smile. I am currently wearing temporaries on my two upper front teeth awaiting veneers. I must say, even these temporaries are an improvement from my normal teeth. Couldn't be happier! To begin with, the front office staff was welcoming and courteous. Next, I was taken back right on time, which was a pleasant surprise.
