First of all, our waitress Alyssa was fabulous, friendly, and efficient. Our lunch was very, very enjoyable. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly on top of a fresh Ceasar salad. Unlike our poor experience at the East Cobb location last week, the Canton location did a fabulous job on the chicken tenders. These were cooked to perfection and oh so tender and juicy. A good representation of the franchise. A lackluster greeting at the door was compensated by the friendly greeting of the waitress. And she ensured that my drink refills were prompt. First off the only reason they get a second star is because the wait staff was perfectly fine and did nothing wrong. Second, this place was absolute trash. I'm sitting in the parking lot typing this because I'm so bewildered at how bad the food and ambiance was. Everything served tasted like it belonged in a gas station or didn't even taste like what it was supposed to. Starting with the rolls, i can't even describe it other than why tf did they taste like an unidentified meat????????? I got a country fried steak and tasted bland, just yelling the name of a spice from across the room could have given it better flavor. Mac and cheese was terrible. The only saving grace was the mashed potatoes but that's gods favorite food so it doesn't count. The second entree was a french dip that tasted like it was just stale roast beef doused in worchestershire sauce. We came in after going to North Georgia to take pictures at Gibbs Garden near Big Canoe. I use to go to O charley's a lot but they closed some locations. I was delighted to see one on our way home. I know they have a great prime rib but when not on special it's pricey. Looking over the menu they have added a lot of items from fish to pasta! Therefore. it took awhile for us to decide as there are so many different choices. The rolls are hot and delicious! My grilled chicken dinner was good with perfectly cooked fried okra. Wish I could have left a review. Was sat in the back and waited 20min, never was acknowledged. We got up and walked out.

The food was very good but sadly the to go service has not improved. My daughter went in to get the order. No one around for two or three minutes. Other customers looking for help also. Someone finally came. When extra rolls were requested she was told she had to pay. If I dine in, I get as many as I want. I pay the same money for my food and yet you don't give me the same options. It pains me to write this. One of our longtime favorite lunch spots has hit rock bottom. The door was locked 15 minutes after they should have opened and the hostess said she didn't notice and laughed. Then when we were seated others were inside and she said they had come in the back door. I then saw the back door was propped open and uber eats drivers were ready and waiting. Very strange to keave the door open but anyway.... We ordered lunch soup and salad. Rolls were very late, seemed not fresh and flat. Sweet tea was awful. Loaded potato soup is water now. So thin it is like broth. Not cheesy, not delicious broth with chopped undercooked potatoes. We asked if the soup was ok or changed and she said they recently changed it. Well, in the limited amount of times my family has been to this restaurant we've had 3 people get food poisoning. We thought oh it's just a one time mess up but no and these experiences were years apart and to foods that we have no problem ordering at other restaurants. Also, there have been many circumstances where we have had to wait so long in that small waiting room just to be attended to and then even longer to be sat down. I had to pick up an order there through Doordash this evening and there was a little confusion on the customer's order. The reheaded female manager was extremely rude with the whole ordeal. I was trying to remain professional between communicating with my customer and with the manager. It seems like every time I have to go in there to pick up a Doordash order the customer service is not very pleasant. Very snooty, so to speak. I've been in the restaurant industry pretty much my whole life and I know that kindness gets you a lot further than a bad attitude. You don't like the career you're in, change it. I personally just do not like picking up Doordash orders from this establishment. It's always a long wait time, too. read more

Terrible. Don't waist your time or money. We waited an hour for 2 cheeseburgers that my dog wouldn't eat. Waitress was very inattentive. Don't even know where she went. After one of the burgers came out incorrectly, the waitress said the manager would comp the burger. The check came and he took 10% off. We asked the waitress to again speak to the manager. She came back with 20%, which equated to $3.00, not even 1/3 of the price of the burger he said he would comp. This place will not last. The whole menu looks like a kids menu. We hadn't been here in a while, so we decided to come back tonight and give it a try! At 7:30 on a Saturday night, they weren't busy at all, which probably should've told us something, but we were hungry and this pregnant mama was craving chicken tenders. We were seated and approached promptly to have our order taken. We ordered an appetizer and then decided to wait a few minutes on ordering food. When the waitress came back to take our food order, we placed that as well. By this time there were no other customers/diners in the room we were in, so we were her only table. The rolls were brought out overdone, but we still tried to eat them because they're typically our favorite. We figured it was just a one off thing. The food came out before the appetizer, which our waitress apologized for, but nothing else was said about it. The potato skins were burnt and they had hardly any cheese on them, so again, we tried them, but most of them stayed on the plate. The chicken tenders were tough and over cooked. Our waitress kept coming back in the room, but not to our table, and saw multiple times we had no drinks. When she finally came over, I asked for a refill. She brought just me a refill and left my partner with no sweet tea still. To top all of this off, the restaurant was disgusting. There was a trash can sat at a table behind us, dirty plates all over the place, trash all in the floor, etc. and remember, we're the only ones here... I can't really say anything positive about any of the $50 worth of food we just ordered and we definitely won't be back. We got to THIS DREADED PLACE around 1 o'clock. They told us that the wait would be around 15 minutes, we weren't seated for around 45 minutes. When we finally got seated the waitress took about 10 minutes to take our orders. She told my brother that they had no root beer on the menu, even though it stated clearly that they had root beer. Also, the drinks were AWFUL and watered down with a peculiar aftertaste. When we FINALLY got our food about 50 minutes of sitting it was HORRENDOUS! The grilled cheese was rotten, moldy, smelled and tasted weird, as well as unmelted. The ceiling was rotten, and they had awful service. The waitress asked me thrice what I wanted as my side and still got it wrong. One of the waitresses ASSAULTED me with a Dr.Pepper and did not apologize!!!! We waited about 15 minutes to get seated on a Thursday night no big deal, finally get seated and menus given by the Host, so far everything's going well. Go through the menu and decide what we want to eat and then we wait and wait and wait and wait.. 10 minutes later I flag someone down a.k.a. the host, said we've been waiting over 10 minutes and we haven't even got our drink orders or know who our server is, "Yes sir, I'll get somebody for you sir". Then we wait and wait and wait, (7 mins) and we end up leaving because if that was what we were going to deal with just trying to putting in our order I can only imagine what it was gonna be like getting the food prepared and on our table before midnight. O'Charley's has always been one of our favorite chains. During the shelter in place they have been a lifesaver for our family with their $30 family meal deals that feed our family of 4 for 2 days. The food is tasty and the service is very kind here. They have included free pie Wednesday for takeout during this time which has also been great. If you love spicy food their Nashville hot sauce is delicious! Plus their rolls are always something to look forward to eating. I wish there was a negative 5 star selection. I had the tenders, ribs and steak plate. The steak was an unrecognizable lump of beef. The ribs were not cooked all the way through. The tenders were the only thing in the plate that was edible. The corn on the cob was missing several of the kernels, the kitchen must have cut out some bad spots before serving. The potato soup was really good. My wife and I paid, I mean donated 55 dollars for this meal. Our waitress Bailey was very nice and attentive. She should be at a much more deserving restaurant. We don't normally get to many chain restaurants, but decided to stop in O'Charley's last Wednesday for a change of pace - remembering the "Free Pie Wednesday" in their TV ads. There was a fair crowd in the restaurant. We were seated quickly. The place seemed acceptably clean and in good repair. The server greeted us and was very pleasant. No complaints. Good selection on the menu. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta and my wife got the honey fried chicken. Both were OK, but not overly exciting. I felt the portion of pasta could have been a bit larger, but it wasn't too bad. Then came the news... we were offered our Free Pie, and were told that the offer would end at the end of December. No more Free Pie Wednesdays! I guess all good things come to an end eventually. As I said, corporate chain food is usually avoided, and I don't see that changing. But it's a safe bet. read more

The O'Charley's in Rome closed, so after a trip to the doctors office. Pasted this one which I haven't eaten at in years. My Girlfriend suggested we stop and eat, she has always liked the food. The menu was nothing like it was just a little over a year ago. I'm not going to bash them for prices I remember the Carter years. The Service was outstanding, seated quickly the staff was the best I've had in years from any restaurant. The food just didn't have any flavor. I had the Fish n Fries the tarter sauce had in my opinion way to much dill. Even a very small amount amount smothered any flavor of anything else on the plate. read more

This restaurant has really declined! Overall dirty, and smelled as I walked past the bus station/bar. The restroom was dirty and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Overall great experience! The place was quite busy while we were there, but the server was very sweet and attentive (Ash, I believe) the whole time. The bread rolls were amazing, as always, and the California chicken salad was delicious as well (and filling for a salad). The only thing I have to say is about the hosting. I used to be one myself, so I understand what restaurant hosts go through, which is not always easy. However, we had one host ignore us entirely and walk away, and the other host appeared to be hiding under the stand for a minute? I can't say I know why this happened, and while our party did not take offense, that kind of behavior is not going to do well in the long run. 8:40pm on a Tuesday, my husband I were craving a burger. We tried to place an online order with O'Charleys and were notified that they were closing soon. It was too late to place an online order. Quickly, we decided to give the restaurant a call to see if, by chance, they would allow us to place a curbside order so close to the restaurant's closing time. Let me tell you, the customer service we received was outstanding. Before taking our order, the sweet young lady on the other line asked if we could be there by 9:00pm because they were closing soon. We swiftly left and when we arrived to the restaurant, the O'Charley's staff quickly helped us with our curbside order. When we got home, we were astonished by the size of the Western Cheese Burger. It was cooked perfectly to our request of medium-well. The fries were crisp and seasoned to perfection. Not in our photos, was my order of Cod Fish and Chips. I asked for extra tarter sauce and they delivered by giving me a large serving. The cod was crispy on the outside and flaky (not over cooked) inside. Fish and Chips are one of my favorite meals and this entree did not disappoint. We appreciate the extraordinary meal and excellent customer service from our hometown, Canton O'Charley's. read more

We ate here in the afternoon this Saturday during the cruise in. It was not too crowded and everybody enjoyed their food. A steak was ordered and it was only fair, but the rest of the food was good. Tonight our server was pissy due the hostess set us at a 6 person table and there was 4 adults and one baby. This seems unprofessional and the manager may be absent. She needs to understand we did not self seat the hostesses did. No matter how many people sit at this table the tip is based on service and professionalism. Now the separate bills are screwed up, and I don't believe she is having a bad day as she is treating her other customers like gold. Bad move yet O'Charleys more than likely does not care as I think they think customers are a 'dime' a dozen. My experiences at this O'Charleys has been positive in past with certain servers, some servers have had the same pissy attitude even when I am dining by myself. Since the pandemic started, we've been ordering out regularly. OC has been a go to because it's close and not all that expensive. We usually use one of the delivery services (they were good). Last weekend was our anniversary. We wanted a steak that wouldn't break the bank and OC had come through before. Not this time. The ONLY thing they got even close to correct was a baked potato. Everything else was wrong. One steak cooked way too much, the other way to little (both were ordered the same, medium rare). Sides were cold. Extras ordered weren't there. Lesson learned. read more

It's a nice dinner out if you don't care to cook. The servers are fast, efficient, and nice. The potato soup was extremely salty, beware if you are on a low sodium diet.
