Servpro came to our community after the recent hurricanes, offering assistance with remediation. They assured us they had all the equipment and manpower needed for the job. A contract was signed for services and a deposit provided. The services were minimally rendered, with insufficient equipment, lack of staffing to provide the services. Of the services contracted for, we had to find alternatives to complete, including paying for floor cleaning, drywall removal, antimicrobial spray, drying equipment rental. We had to purchase a generator when theirs failed and another one was not capable of keeping the equipment running. Finally, they pulled their equipment and terminated our relationship before the conditions were safe to do so, when we said we were going to file a complaint with the BBB.

Ther are many, many other things I could mention. The project took over eight months instead of the four promised, with work gaps of days and sometimes weeks. I met with the PM three times to create a timeline, but they fell behind every time. The only reason he gave was schedule conflicts with other jobs. One positive: Guillermo and Jose were responsive and fully guaranteed their work. They made sure I was satisfied with the end product before ending the project.

During his time here, we contacted our insurance company to file a claim which was initiated within 20 minutes with a representative over the phone. Since Oscar was present, it facilitated communication. Oscar gave us a two-hour window between 8am and 10am and said that we should expect to receive a call from dispatch informing us that they are on their way. He also took a series of pictures before he left so that he could inform the crew of the events that transpired. On Saturday, January 20th, the mitigation crew removed a portion of the engineered flooring that was affected and promptly placed industrial fans on and around it. They informed us that they would be back to pick up the equipment (in 4 days) after the area has completely dried and answered any questions we had. Kris, Sheldon, Gabriel, and Oscar were professional and knowledgeable - explaining everything about the process and I appreciate the time and patience they took on a Saturday morning to help us.
