Bee sting
Annie N.

3.5 stars I ordered the Bee Sting for $10.95 which had crispy bacon, scrambled egg, cheddar cheese, scallion cream cheese, and drizzled Mike's Hot Honey Sadly, the bacon tasted old. It wasn't crispy or hot. I loved the scallion cream cheese though! Everything paired well together and they're generous with the toppings. The bagel had seasoning on both sides too!

On TikTok the lox & loaded is totally different than what they actually serve.... Disappointed. A little salty & it seems like the lox is mixed in with the spread.. also not advertised...wasn't terrible but won't be back.

I was hoping O Bagel was worth the long walk during a chilly and windy day and boy did it deliver!! After waiting in the line for about 10 mins, we ordered the jalapeño and cheddar bagel with the scallion schmear. The wait for the bagel was another 5 mins. The bagel was huge and packed with schmear, just how I like it. NY bagels are a league of their own and this bagel fit the bill with it being soft and fluffy and flavorful. The scallion schmear was out of this world and paired really well with the bagel. The ambience is very simple and this place is mainly for to go orders, although I did see a few people grab quick bites at the small tables at the restaurant.

The bagels featured on O'Bagel's TikTok looked so delicious, steaming in the cold weather, that I simply had to trek out to Hoboken to try them out. They are located on the corner of Washington and Sixth, close by to Stevens. The flow of traffic in the store requires you to order and pay at the register first before receiving your bagel, which is the opposite of what I'm usually used to. I noticed there was also a shelf for pick-up orders, if you prefer to order in advance. I ordered two bagels, one with veggie cream cheese and another with scallion cream cheese, which came out to $10.56. The bagels were on the slightly smaller side, and were quite dense with a good chew. The veggie cream cheese was bell pepper heavy, crunchy, colorful, and quite generous. They did mess up my order and gave me two of the same bagels so I will be deducting a star for that. Otherwise, a solid bagel spot for the area!

Mediocre bagel, but nice service and well-used but small space. The bagel texture was fine, but the taste wasn't great -- bland. The toppings were sliced very thick which means everything slid apart easily when you were trying to eat it. The staff were friendly and the service was relatively efficient. Average price-wise for a lox bagel. This is a takeout spot only.

Small bagel shop on a busy corner. I stumbled upon it while walking down the street exploring Hoboken. I've had amazing bagels from O'Bagels in the past (takeout) and decided to take one to go since I had already had brunch - and was not disappointed! I was also impressed by the enticing menu. I think I need to come back and enjoy one of those generously crafted breakfast sandwiches!

Ridge Diablo and Bee Sting
Jason S.

As a Hoboken local (now living elsewhere), I have to say that Obagel is hands-down my favorite bagel spot in town. Despite being a newer addition and having a bit of a touristy vibe, it's the one place I make sure to visit every time I'm back home--at least once. My go-to orders are the Bee Sting and Ridge Diablo, and honestly, I don't even bother with anything else because those two are just that good. The flavors are unmatched, and I truly believe these are the best bagel sandwiches on the planet. Yes, the line can get long, but don't let that deter you. The team works super fast, and I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes, even when the line is out the door. If you're in Hoboken or just passing through, Obagel is a must-try. I'll keep hyping it up and stopping in whenever I'm back in town!

Bee Sting

There was a line out the door, but service was fast! I got the bee sting with sausage on an everything bagel and it was delicious! The bagel was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cream cheese was so good too! Only thing I would say is that I wish the sausage patty was bigger. It was a little thin. I loved watched the staff boil the bagels in the back and put them fresh on the case!

Bagel w/ Butter

Most over rated bagel of all time. How do you mess up a bagel with butter? The only reason o bagel is popular is because of their marketing and the lack of good bagels in Hoboken altogether. The people there are nice though.

Carlos C.

Right in my backyard at work! Come early to avoid the rush especially on weekends! Bagels are made fresh and are amazing with a great variety. Of course, grab your trademark BEC or TEC with SPK! Not a dine-in place so you're definitely going to grab and go from here.

Darilex A.

I never leave bad reviews but this was the most horrible breakfast bagel I've ever had. I'm pregnant and was craving a breakfast sandwich at work so I ordered a BEC with a hasbrown on a sesame bagel. THIS WAS THE DRYEST BAGEL I COULD BARELY EAT IT. Also, I paid like 17 dollars for it because of uber fees.

Yummy bagels. I like the farmers omelette. The fresh salad that accompanies the plate is a good palate cleanser.

There was only one other family dining, and the space stayed empty the entire time. The service was genuinely great. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and a really cute, cozy space. I especially loved the Christmas décor and overall vibe--it felt warm and inviting. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the prices. The house salad was $13 and honestly one of the most basic, smallest, and most boring salads I've ever had--very underwhelming for the cost. We also ordered quesadillas, a cheeseburger with fries, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. My son enjoyed the burger and fries, and the quesadillas were flavorful, generously filled with chicken and veggies, and came with sour cream, pico, and guac. The tomato soup was tasty, while the grilled cheese was just okay. One small but appreciated detail: canned soda. Cold, crisp, and not flat which is always a win. Lunch for 3 came in just under $100, which felt high given what we received. One frustration was being seated in a tight corner right next to the kitchen even though the dining room was completely empty. We were so close I could literally see into the kitchen and count items on the shelves. On top of that, the hostess repeatedly walked by calling out "corner," which became distracting and honestly a bit irritating. Overall, I liked the vibe, but the food-to-price ratio missed the mark for me. It wasn't bad--just alright.

I had also been glad to see that they had a reasonable amount of seating; Hoboken has no shortage of coffeeshops, but few of them have comfortable seating options. At that first visit, I had ordered a Golden Latte, which I had enjoyed, but found very overpriced for a small takeout cup. So, I had not rushed back there for a while. However, I recently met a friend for coffee and found my giant, dine-in mug of cappuccino with almond milk reasonable at its ~$6.50 cost. My drink was creamy, rich, and delicious. I was also thrilled that we were able to get a table on a Saturday afternoon, though we both found the service inconsistent, as it went from overbearing to avoidant. However, it was still friendly and not something that would prevent me from returning. Overall, Bluestone Lane's cozy cafe atmosphere and tasty beverages made it a great place to grab a brew. I also need to try some of their food items, especially their avocado toast, which I have heard is fantastic.

The smashburger and steak sandwich are dishes you can't go wrong with either. Finally, good old fried oreos to end the night. I definitely recommend having a reservation as they were pretty busy on a Sunday morning. The Cappuccino was well-made, soothing, and gave me a much-needed caffeine kick. We got one sweet & one savory dish because that's the best way to brunch! The Steak & Eggs was surprisingly good! The hanger steak was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. I had asked for the eggs to be soft scrambled and I felt like they were a touch overcooked but still enjoyable and paired well with the steak. The brunch potatoes could've been way crispier but I did enjoy the peppers & onions mixed it. The French Toast was fantastic.
