RAW STROMBOLI !!!!! It's not cheese it's dough

Stromboli's aren't popular in Dallas, so I chose this place to see how it would be . [[HIGHLIGHT]]It looks closed on the outside, but it's indeed open and was empty inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a Stromboli that took 10min, and to my surprise was completely raw inside. The cooks clearly don't check with a thermometer. The first bite was decent and after the 3rd bite I realized it wasn't fully cooked and returned the Stromboli. They remade it, and it was cooked all the way through the second time -- by a different staff member. They need to train their staff to follow the same procedures to prep before serving food that could make customers sick. I wouldn't recommend.

Solid NY style pizza with the thinner, foldable crust. Pretty darn good sandwiches, too! Love that you can just have a slice or two on your lunch break. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Question the cleanliness based on how dated everything is, but you can see them making your food and the prep areas do not look as bad as the dining area and bathrooms do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is always friendly and service is quick.

I tried this place for lunch and the Big Apple sandwich stood out to me with it having 4 meats and 3 cheeses. Excellent sandwich with perfect meat/cheese to bread ratio. The real star of the show is the house dressing on the sandwich. I'm not 100% sure what it is but it is delicious and pulls all the flavors together.

Cold dry chicken for the grilled chicken salad. Not fresh at all. Likely not even cooked on the day it's served.

This place is absolutely terrible. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with honey mustard and a buffalo chicken sub from here. The chicken on both was soo dry and tough that it was inedible. They gave me regular hot dog mustard for my salad. The buffalo sub was not even a sub, it was dry and cold chicken on two slices of sandwich bread with some wing sauce lightly drizzled on it. I wasn't able to eat any of it. This was the worst service and food I've ever ordered for takeout. I requested a refund due to these major issues and it was denied. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I'm so excited this place was here when I passed by today. It's been so long since Ive been out this way. NYPD catered my wedding 19 years ago and I used to bring my kids all the time after. It's been about 10 years since I've been back---- it's still amazing! Such a staple and the bread is just the BEST! Subs, pizza, desserts- everything is so good. Got a Philly cheesesteak and it was terrible. Who puts minced beef on a Philly cheesesteak. First time here and it was pretty darn good. The dining area is basic; but spacious and comfortable. The pizza was definitely a hit, loaded with meat and jalapeño. Great taste and awesome crust. Lot's of carry out orders while we were there. We will definitely return. read more

Stopped in for their lunch pizza deal. Absolutely no one in there and now I get why. You would think attaching your name to New York would mean something. This is not NY pizza and beyond that is is not good pizza at all. I could only eat half of it before I just decided to call lunch quits for the day. I called asked what came on the sandwiches and ordered them no mayonnaise and house dressing on the side with a pickle. Got home no pickle and they took it upon theirselves to put mustard on the sandwiches. Yuk. The meat wasn't fresh, the bread was no good. We only ate a few bites. At least they were cheap. read more

Went out yesterday and supported one of my favorite local businesses, in their time of need. I got The Godfather sub and a pepperoni, mushroom and black olive pizza. The food was amazing and helped me cope with a horrible day . We are less than a week into this shut down and businesses like this have already lost thousands of dollars not just in daily orders but also money for events they were catering. If you want your favorite mom and pop restaurant to be there after , we are able to arise from our homes and sit down at a restaurant, please pick up a meal or get one delivered! read more

I stumbled upon this place and boy am I glad I did. The Godfather sub sounded amazing but I was hungry for a hot sub. I asked if I could get it on the grill and the guys hooked me right up! Yummy pizza with great service. We came here on a Saturday between hockey practice after a disappointing trip to Chicken Express up the street the week before. NYPD is everything we were looking for our lunch! We ordered a cheese pizza and a sub. We ordered at the counter, got our drinks, and sat down. My son got his sandwich soon after we sat down. The sandwich is served on a fresh sub buns. Then we got our pizza. It was piping hot from the oven. We dove in and it was delicious. We will make this our regular lunch spot. Everyone was very friendly as well. Can't wait to return. read more

Everytime I come here it is normally amazing but I think the staff today was a bit lazy compared to others. I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni and black olive pizza. What I ended up getting was 2 slices of ole pepperoni pizza from lunch rush with black olives put on them and a little bit of fresh cheese and what seemed to be put back into the oven for a minute to melt the new cheese.....I dont know what that was about but it was pretty damn disgusting. I ate a slice and got through the other half mainly because I was hungry and had to hurry and get back to work but yeah. I had to take it down to 3 stars for that one. read more

The pizzas really good crust is nice and crispy they provide decent value for the buck. They are little bit bad about the on-time pickup. The ambience is really outdated and does not really value add. They do have one really good accent wall but the storing of trophies and other paraphernalia really looks tacky. Their display cases don't look like they're well organized. read more

Read about the place on Yelp. Decided to come and try it. We were very pleasantly surprised and impressed. The owner (Tommy) greeted us warmly and was very helpful in every way. Was looking for something different and came across this cute little place! Came here for lunch and the place has a good amount of people there. Lots of selections for pizza and sandwiches. I got turkey with Swiss and there's some special dressing they put on the sandwiches that's really good. I'd come back here! The facade is very unassuming, but as you cross the threshold, the dining room is warm, clean, and inviting. The host was friendly and pointed us to their daily special, which is two slices and a soda for $6. We also got a roast beef sandwich on a sub bun. The meat was sliced fresh and the man also created the pizza on the spot. Overall, we were VERY impressed with this place. I'm pleased to know that there is a local deli and pizzeria option in the midcities. We will return. read more

This is the best kept secret in North TX! Phenomenal food and #1 real authentic NY Italian Deli. Don't forget dessert. Best cheesecake and chocolate cake. My fiancee and I have been looking for a really good local pizza spot since we moved to the area months back. And I've got to say we've found our new spot. Got the chicken ceasar salad and large pie with pepperoni, jalapenos and sausage. And it was amazing, in fact my mouth started watering again thinking about the pizza as I write this post. The cheese was gooey and amazing, the crust was amazing, the jalapenos were perfectly charred. The salad was very good as well. Our favorite takeout pizza by far in DFW. Don't be fooled by the exterior. It's dark and a bit of a dive, but the pizza is delicious. We typically get two large (18") pizzas so we can have lunch the next day (breakfast for my husband ). Staff is always fun and welcoming. Atmosphere is dark, not the cleanest...more like what Guy Fieri would call a "dive" but let's be honest- these type places are the hidden gems for yummy food! Definitely recommend!! read more

Ordered a slice of hamburger pizza and the kid says, "uh, we sell pizza?" I said, "I know, and I ordered a slice of hamburger pizza...?" Once I get my pizza out of the oven, as I start to eat it I get halfway and it's cold. What the heck! You leave two young kids running your pizzeria, and that's the type of service we get! SMH! I have lived in the Centreport- HEB area for 2.5 years, and i regret not coming here on day 1! This restaurant is worthy of being your go to for pizza and subs! I had a 12" hamburger,pepperoni, and green olive the first visit. The ingredients are of great quality, and the crust is thin and crunchy but formidable. I absolutely loved it. Next i had the soprano hero sub, once again delicious. They have a creative sub selection with their own brand of flavors that will enlighten the taste buds. This is a must go to! Great service! This place has good food but they have a really bad issue with not being able to handle a heavy business load, if you do not call in before either lunch time or dinner time, you will not get waited on! They refuse to answer the phone during this busy time so you can't place an order. There's no telling how much business they lose due to this practice! read more

The ricotta stuff in the stars was tasty. We spread it over the pizza and delicious. The crust is thin and tasty made with just a few ingredients and they proof it for 72 hours. The manager, Oliver said they do this so it's easier to digest. Then we had the salad Laura with Burata Stracciatella cheese, fresh cut tomatoes, croutons and fresh sliced parmesan cheese. I sprinkled some balsamic vinegar on top and this is a winner salad. So much that we took 1/2 of it home. Our server, Victoria was great, welcoming and passed our meal service with a great tone. We love Mister 01!!!

I had an Italian sub at the Deli, and it reminded me of home. I grew up in Upstate New York, and pizza and subs have been a part of the fabric there. They used a special kind of bread, and a special dressing that immediately reminded me of getting subs at the local deli.
