This was a huge client that required professionalism from top to bottom, and that included Sean and the rest of the NY Corp Logistics team, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. We had (2) 26' box trucks worth of post event trash, debris, and scenic pieces that needed to get out of the building and into trucks between by 3am, Sean not only brought the two trucks but brought an additional truck just in case we needed it. I only have one caution ** I have moved a ton in the last few years and there are differences in the type of move that you are doing. There are movers that pack up your place for you and there are movers that move the boxes and furniture once you have packed it up yourself. This deal was for the latter. NY Corp is super and I will be using them again. I worked with Sean through Yelp messages and we arranged a time and then changed to another time. He worked with me since I was working with someone else's schedule and that made it difficult to give ideal timing. In the end, the timing worked out perfectly. Sean and his crew were quick, got everything loaded, I paid and we were finished. This was for junk removal, and I will be using him and the company again for junk removal and likely a small furniture move to an adjacent state. I highly recommend Sean and NY Corp Logistics. They are fair, do a great job and are there when they say they will be. I am especially thankful that they could fit me in on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and especially with only 3 days notice. After having a so so experience with my move last year, I was very apprehensive about moving again but NY Corp eased my worries. Sean and Shariff were very understanding about my concerns and took their time moving my things at a decent flat rate instead of a per hour rate in order to be very careful with my things. I'm sorry to write this poor review, but I didn't have a good experience with these movers. I had a one bedroom apartment and was moving to another 1 bedroom apartment only a couple of miles away. Movers were on time and friendly, but that's about it. I bought a groupon deal for 2 hours of moving. My friend and I ended up moving 50% of the furniture ourselves because it was being done incredibly slowly. We didn't even get out the furniture in my room, and I had to tell them to leave and go to the new apartment so I didn't go over two hours. I did not have much furniture (small desk, kitchen table, coffee table, small loveseat, TV stand and bookshelf) They did NOT move my bed frame, headboard, or two standing wardrobes in my room. I had to hire another moving company the next day who did it all in 30 minutes. It took them 2 hours to move not very many items, and I ended up carrying them myself for them anyway. I then had to spend another day paying another moving company for the rest of the job they didn't do. This could have been done in two hours. I did not have much. it was very inefficient, and I think I ended up moving more items than the movers did. I will not be doing business again with this company. read more

They were great at the junk removal job I had. I called about a two rooms full of junk after roommates left and I was moving out. After sending them a video they were able to put me on their schedule that same week. The quote required a 50% deposit before the visit with the remainder due after the service and the amount of the service was more than fair. They arrived promptly. Three guys were able to remove all of the items in the apartment - heavy and large items too, including breaking down a Cali king bed set to bring it out. I knew I had a small move and it would certainly take under 2 hours and began bargain hunting as best I could. I eventually found a Livingsocial deal for 2 hours of moving services from this small business and unlike all the other offers they did not try to hide all these extra fees i.e. time to drive to your house, equipment, or stair charges. I knew what I was getting and I knew what I would be paying for provided the move didn't go over 2 hours. I called these guys up and they were able to schedule me for the next week for a quick mid-day move. Skip to next week I'm mostly packed up and ready to go. I receive a call about an hour and a half before my scheduled window letting me know that if I wanted I could be moved up a little earlier in the day. I had heard so many complaints about movers showing up late with other services that this was a welcomed surprise. I give them the go ahead to come early and they were there within 30 minutes. I point out everything that needed to go and told them I had some additional packing to do. In the 20 minutes it took to do that almost everything I had was on the truck. They packed up the rest in a few minutes and we were ready to go. At this point I needed to reach the new place but had no ride so the guys offered me as seat in the truck. They tapped in my new address in the gps and we were off. The 12 minute ride was filled with conversation and I got to know these two movers and a bit about the company. Despite it being Ramadan and not being to eat or drink for hours these guys were working on a 90+ degree day lugging my stuff around to keep customers happy and allow the company to take on the bandwidth needed to grow. Explains why even with a discount on service I was able move with very little notice. Last leg of the trip; arrive at my new place. Only 40 minutes after we first met. We begin to unload. I assist a little to speed things up but the two fellas take care of all the heavy lifting. These guys are machines and they aren't dillying about unlike other movers I've heard of whom try stretching those hourly rates. Within 30 minutes everything is in the new pad more or less exactly where I want it. 1 hour 10 minutes and I've moved most of my whole life. All while getting to know to pretty decent guys. All unpacked and nothing is broken or damaged so I have to say it was a great experience. If you live in the NOVA area and have a move large or small I highly recommend you look into these guys. After reading the positive reviews, I was excited to go through with the living social deal and secure this company for my move. I just called them, and they said they would move me, but I couldn't go through living social; he would give me the same deal if I went directly through him, which was completely fine since I know living social takes a big cut. When when I asked him what the deal was, he tacked on a $70 travel fee, which wasn't mentioned anywhere in the deal. When I asked whether he could do any cheaper since I was going directly through him, he got very angry and started yelling at me. We called Sean on a Friday for a rush demo of 3.5 baths including the bathtubs, tile work, toilets and vanities. We met with him later on Friday evening, got a great price.
