I am not sure how NY Caffeine is not getting more attention. I visited this cafe for the first time today, and I must say it is pretty impressive. This coffee shop is decorated in wood and earthy tones while giving off the vibe of a beach club cabana. They serve quality coffees, teas, and drinks in clear soda cans, which I found pretty neat. Prices are less expensive than starbucks and the drinks are made with better quality ingredients, which I could tell from taste alone. My friend and I ordered the Iced Vanilla Chai Latte and White Chocolate Frappe, both of which tasted amazing with just the right amount of sweetness. They also make fresh crepes and italian desserts with a bunch of popular toppings. The staff is young and friendly. They were serving people with a smile and joking around with customers. There is seating inside and outside, but I preferred sitting on those big comfy couches inside near the window. The cafe is clean but can use a light dusting in some areas. They also have their own parking lot so parking should not be an issue. This cafe looks like a crown jewel in a dull neighborhood. It's something Franklin Square really needed, and I am happy it is finally here. I will definetly be visiting again soon! 5/5 stars! read more

I came here yesterday (for the second time) around 9:30ish am. Ordered a vanilla latte, a regular coffee (black), a chocolate chip cookie croissant, a cronut and an almond croissant to go. Everything looked great, however looks can be deceiving. The latte was ok. The coffee was ok also, however, the cups are really cheap and my coffee was leaking everywhere. The pastries were warmed but not well enough. My croissants were still cold in the middle. The reason on why I'm giving 3 stars and not 1 is because of the service. I've been to this place many times so far. The coffee is good and it is a nice little place. The service is hit or miss honestly, sometimes you get workers who are not friendly. Otherwise, service is acceptable, just slow. My issue is that it is August and they still have Christmas and Valentine's decor up. The decor is so overwhelming and mismatched, it is not a good look. I drive here from Queens because of the good reviews. I spent over $19 with tip on a cookie dough croissant and a Dubai brownie. Unfortunately I was very disappointed, they looked great but were both stale and the croissant had a strange smell. The Dubai brownie had a strange, cheap tasting pistachio cream on it and just tasted weird. I can't believe they're selling these stale pastries for so much money. Not cool. The manager took my order. She was very pleasant, even gave me some suggestions. I ordered the chocolate croissant and a caramel frappe. The drink was amazing . It can get really busy at times but nothing too crazy . The establishment was clean and welcoming . If you live in the area or surrounding neighborhoods, I highly recommend coming here. I don't know if this is due to untrained new hires or cost cutting, but recently the coffee here has been quite awful. The last two times I ordered a brown sugar shaken espresso, the espresso has been completely burnt and inedible. I'm assuming the barista isn't switching out the grinds with each drink.
