SIMON & MARLIN These guys are the best movers I've ever hired! I can't recommend them enough--seriously. I found out I was approved for an apartment two days before my move in date, so I spent three hours searching for last minute movers. I reached out to them on Yelp, and they were so prompt to reply. I'm honestly so lucky the more popular companies were busy because otherwise I probably wouldn't have found them to use in the future. They were on time, efficient, so kind, and overall amazing movers. The company that did my first move ruined a bunch of my furniture (scratches, deliberately stepped on my mattress, etc.), expected help because they sent an injured mover (wtf), forgot tools/supplies, and were so unreliable. I was honestly scared of hiring movers again because I was worried I would be scammed by a similar experience. Now, I'm a poor college student. But I'm also a small girl who realistically can't move alone. I was going to ask friends to help in +100 degree weather, but I planned to keep them. Knowing that, they could've wasted time or charged me for extra, but they genuinely did the job and gave me an amazing price. Simon and Marlin were so patient and fun, had everything needed to move, and secured all the valuables so well. I even had a TV without a box, but watching them handle it gave me so much reassurance. When they got to the destination and opened the trunk, nothing budged since I left the original location. They were so careful with my belongings. Showed up exactly on time. Didn't try to charge me more even though i found a few extra items I wanted to get rid of. Polite and efficient.

Simon and his team went above and beyond for us. The number of items we needed to have moved grew after we contracted their services but they did the larger job without complaint. They adjusted the cost but very fairly. We also had a weird situation with the elevators in our building which they were very gracious about even though it probably took them twice as long to complete our job. Picture it - Friday the Practically Thirteenth, dark as pitch, evening rush hour in miserable January weather, a new-to-us small business to move a massive sofa from wilds of W. Seattle (bridge is OUT!) to hilly area of N. Seattle. And not sure said sofa will fit through our only possible door...What could go wrong?? Evidently, nuthin'! The very best movers I have ever used! I was in a bind and needed last minute help unloading my truck. Simon responded right away and met me at my new apartment a couple hours later, exactly when I needed him. He got everything unloaded quickly and helped me put my table together, too! What took me almost 3 hours to load, Simon got unloaded and into my place in about 30 minutes!! And the price was eminently reasonable. If I ever need moving help again, I will call NW Small Moves. Simon and NW Small Moving are pros! If you hire anybody to move your belongings, choose them. I have had other companies move my items before and have had mixed results. NW Small Moving took care of all of my belongings like they were their own. They offered to wrap all of my furniture in blankets and plastic wrap at no additional cost and put thought into how they moved and packed everything so that it wouldn't get damaged. The crew showed up early. They were polite and masked up. They moved my stuff professionally and without damages. They charged a totally reasonable amount to move a small amount of stuff a few blocks, which is hard to find in a moving company! We were so lucky to find that Simon and his able assistant Shaughnessy were available for a big move yesterday! From the start Simon and Shaughnessy were communicative, prompt, efficient, courteous, honest, and most of all hard-working. The two of them somehow got our two large storage units (10'x20' and 10'x10') moved out, met us at a new place 20 miles away, and unloaded it (despite having only a normal size elevator) in just over four hours including travel time! I have had experiences with other movers where one guy has to pick up the slack because the other was lazy, but Simon and Shaughnessy were excellent and worked well together and with us, charging exactly what they said they would with no surprise added costs. I would unhesitatingly recommend them for anything they felt capable of. We hope to be able to use their services again in the future and wish them both much success!
