Great steak house inside the casino. Feels like one of the open air steak spots you would get in a typical casino but this one felt a little more intimate. Everyone was polite, helpful and fun to chat with. Even got a steak to go for my dog's birthday. Worth it!

Causal steakhouse in south Reno. Food is always great. I like the vegetables and dip they bring out as a starter. I wish they were more like a traditional steakhouse where a soup/salad is included with entree, but otherwise great experience!

The salmon is my favorite and that sourdough HOT bread is the best!

We love this place! The ambiance is ideal as long as you are not there on a game night. Last night was rough. The salmon is so perfect ever time. Crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. The sourdough is hot and salted butter is delicious. Be careful not to eat too much before your meal comes. The Sunset meals is amazing and for $29! Amazing value!

Consistently good food, lovely ambience, and amazing service! I usually end up eating off the appetizer menu when I am by myself, but I can't say the French onion soup and the shrimp cocktail are good

The Sunset Menu was absolutely delicious. The relish plate was a unique and delightful touch. Both our entrees and dessert were incredibly tasty. The service was outstanding.

Tamarack steakhouse is called NV steakhouse. We came for Christmas Eve dinner and it was very crowded but the ambiance. is very nice. Beautifully decorated and separated from the casino, which is nice. The bread was out of this world! Maybe the best fresh sourdough that I've ever had! After that it wasn't great for me. I ordered the halibut, and it came out cold and tough enough that I needed a steak knife to cut it. I ordered sticky toffee pudding to make myself happy after a bad meal, but that was equally terrible. Shocking! Usually, desserts will be super yummy and indulgent at a steak house, but it was as dry as powder. Very expensive meal and super disappointing. Our waiter was funny and sweet and perfect. The pork chop (which we all tasted) was amazing!

The red wine braised mushrooms were ridiculously good! Oh, and there was a guitarist playing some soothing music which blended perfectly with the overall vibe at BLS. The servers are extremely friendly and helpful. One guy noticed my New York Knicks sweater so we had a nice small convo about the upcoming NBA Finals. Compared to other steakhouse like Ruth's Chris or Morton's, you will get good value as everything is very reasonable priced. Our ribeyes were cooked perfect and seasoned well. The red wine braised mushrooms were a nice addition and I highly recommend their Cowboy Crispy Potatoes which are amazing. Their poblano sauce is great on them. This is a good place to go if you're looking for a nice steak at a fair price that won't suck your wallet dry.

That was fine so as soon as we turned around to sit in the lobby, the guy called us and said he happened to find a table for two. So we were sat immediately. This is the busiest I've ever seen this restaurant. Pretty much every table, and they have lots of tables, was full. Braden was our server and he was at our table within five minutes. Considering how busy the place was, that was awesome. He took our drink orders asked if we actually knew what we wanted to eat, which we didn't, and so he went to get our drinks while we looked at the menu. What we ordered: 25 ounce Cadillac margarita Frolic in the sand Shots of tequila (Herradura) 20 ounce prime rib, medium rare Lobster tail Jacketed baked potato Sautéed mushrooms The food arrived quickly. The prime rib was perfect. Lobster, mushrooms. Everything was just so darn good. The star of the show was the server Braden. He was friendly and a little entertaining. Even though the place was super busy, he took the time to talk with us and make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our evening. I will definitely ask for him next time we come in here as he was that good. When the food and drinks are consistent, sometimes the only difference of a good visit versus an average visit is the server. He was perfect. Still some of the best prices in town for a steak/prime rib. Comfortable. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely come back again and again. I know things can go wrong occasionally, but this seemed to be a string of events. Once we ordered, it took a while to get food. I'm not complaining about this, we were a large party. When we did get our food, all of it was either wrong, cold, or undercooked. There were no wait staff around to tell, apparently they were short-staffed that night. I walked up and got the manager, who came back to the table to hear us out. They ended up comping all of the food and by the time we had gotten this far, it was already later in the evening and we just decided to salvage what we could. Some of the food was edible, so we did what we could. We kept waiting for someone to come around to clear dishes comma but we never saw anyone. There was an empty table between us and the next table over. There was an empty table between us and the next table over, and they had started stacking they're empty dishes on that empty table. We decided, we might as well do the same thing otherwise the dishes would stay put. By the end of the meal, the entire table was full of dishes. We ended up going somewhere else later that evening to actually get some food we could eat. I'm really sad that this meal went so poorly when we were trying to celebrate a birthday. We will never be going to this restaurant again. Additional after the fact, the sign outside that advertises the business has been broken for months. One would think that if you were a serious business that you would want to fix that. It reflects on your image. It makes me sad too, because they are right across the street from the Peppermill and they could be getting so much business.

It was not busy since it was a Sunday so we sat down right away and then a waiter came over to give us water. Our waiter came by shortly after that to see if we wanted drinks or appetizers. I ordered a nice glass of chianti red wine from Italy and my friend ordered the spritz. We also ordered the French onion soup to share. Our drinks came out pretty quick along with bread and our soup. The drinks were great, the soup was one of the best French onion soups that i've ever had. The broth was delicious and not too salty but plenty of onion flavor, right amount of cheese and onions was in it, and it was plenty too eat. Our waiter came back to check on us and told us the specials. We ended up ordering the 24oz ribeye and the side of lobster mac n cheese. Our meal came out right on time after we finished our soup. The ribeye was cooked perfectly med rare, it was juicy, flavorful, and tender. One of the best steaks I've ever had. The lobster mac n cheese was cooked perfect, the noodles were tasty, al dente, plenty of lobster in it, and the flavor definitely was cheesy and lobsterish. The food was outstanding. The service was great as well even though it wasn't busy. I forgot our waiter name so I'm sorry. We were too full for dessert or we would have ordered some. Very attentive and made sure we had a great experience. We ordered drinks - I had a Smoked old fashioned (see video) and wifey had a gin lemon drop. Both were delicious. We started off with Stuffed mushrooms and Lobster Bisque. I'm not a huge mushroom fan, but these were pretty good. The lobster biscuit had a lot of flavor and decent amount of lobster. I can't believe I haven't updated my review…read more Brought a friend here for dinner. There were three of us. My friend and I had the 6-oz Filet Mignon USDA. I got mine with caramelized onions, baked potato, and fresh veggies. We both got it medium rare. She got hers topped with Point Reyes Blue Cheese crumbles. Her daughter got Filet of Petrale Sole Meuniere. First came a basket of bread. But, two of us are gluten-free. The Waiter made a point to check with the kitchen on all our meals. The steak came out smelling like garlic. It looked so much better than the picture I posted. It was so tender it cut with a butter knife. The color of the steak inside was perfect medium rare. The flavor on the taste buds is what dreams are made of. Some meals we remember for a lifetime. Because every bite is just that scrumptious. I can still almost taste it by just thinking about it. For dessert, we got the classic Bananas Foster, which is made tableside. It is dinner and a show. Bananas Foster is such a decadent treat. The show begins with the melting of the butter, and the aroma will still your breath away. Then add in the brown and white sugars. Several alcohols are used. I believe they use Banana liquor as well as rum. Then a fire is lit in the pan. It sparks when the cinnamon is added. Then the bananas are cooked ever so lightly. Sometimes, too much liqueur is added, and the flavor is off. However, on this night, it was spot on. The sugars and liqueur create a caramel sauce for the bananas, and vanilla ice cream is added. The ice cream that was used tasted like a French Vanilla ice cream with little flecks of vanilla. Each bite was a walk on a cloud. My friends had never had Bananas Foster before. I think they will be back if only for the Bananas Foster. The bananas and caramel with a kiss a vanilla ice cream just send your taste buds to heaven. Each bite will have you desiring more, even if you are beyond full. Each bite is so divine. It tastes so decadent that your mind will be blown that it is bananas and vanilla ice cream. I can't remember the name of our waiter. He was such a delight and made sure we had a great time. This was a meal I will remember for a long time. Thank you to the staff at Duke's Steakhouse. I think some things changed in management, Kevin the waiter who has been there since it opened is no longer there and you could feel a different vibe going on in the restaurant. The happy hour menu has changed and my husband's favorite Chardonnay is no longer included, but Adrian bought him a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc which was very tasty for $8. Adrian is a wonderful bartender and we enjoy his service! Sad to hear Jenna moved on too! Why is it all the good people leave, but then you have Quincy at the chandelier bar yelling at customers, not serving customers, telling you he won't serve her until it's convenient for him. The eating area is very spacious and commodious. Though this place has a casual vibe, the presentation of the food is totally fine-dining material. Each dish, especially the Citrus glazed salmon, is served as a piece of art. I've been here around three times before I installed yelp, and am excited to finally leave a review. The short rib, was absolutely amazing. The short rib was so tender, and each brussels sprout was a literal flavor bomb. The brussels sprouts I've had at other places have flavor only on the exterior, whereas the brussels sprouts here play a different game. The short rib is served in a really big portion. Though it may look dark from the photos, there are actually three big pieces. I loved loved loved the sauce; there's a sweet tangy taste to it, though it reminded me a lot of BBQ sauce. This short rib was a win. Chefs kiss. The truffle lasagna was terrific; so much sauce in between the lasagna layers. I could absolutely make out the truffle flavor in this dish. However, I recommend eating this dish quickly, as the lasagna stiffens really quickly. Thirty minutes after it was served, I went it to take another bite, and it wasn't as good anymore. The ceasar salad +beef is a great choice for a light but filling meal when you're currently on a healthy diet. Each dish here comes in giant portions, but even after you finish this salad, it won't feel too heavy on your body. I think it's because Washoe is really light on the dressing levels; perfecting the amount so it doesn't overtake the fresh flavor of the greens or leave the salad bland and insipid. However, the beef was a bit too well done and on the firmer side. The first time coming here, I was totally shocked to find out that the food they served did not match the relaxed and informal vibe the setting sets up. Not a bad thing at all. Creates a laid-back vibe while still getting high quality food.

My husband mentioned that we should go back since it's been years and I agreed. Big mistake. We walked in and was greeted by a pretty annoyed host and we decided to sit inside. So far so good. Same guy comes over and asks what we want and he still didn't seem like he even wanted to be there. He just kept being short with us and at this point I'm getting annoyed myself. I asked if the lobster roll was good and he said everything here is good and that he's been doing this for a long time yadda yadda and so I ask " are you the owner?" His reply "Nope!" And I'm like okay whatever. We get our food and the scotch egg was sooo salty. We couldn't even finish. The best dish was the bulgogi lettuce cups. My husband's short rib poutine was overly sweet and soupy. My lobster roll was so acidic and just not good. Let's just say I was not happy. So I had my husband look up who owns this place since we heard that there's new ownership and guess who the owner is!?.......... Our waiter/annoyed host! Also he made a comment how he's waiting on his 1 star review which is a bizzare thing to say to a customer but okay. So now I'm even more mad at this guy. We still played nice, thanked the staff and left. But we were stopped outside by another customer that was seated 2 tables behind us and they said they are going elsewhere to get more food and how they think that there's drama in the kitchen and how our waiter/owner seemed angry and slammed the menu down at the bar. I didn't want to give a 1 star but the best I can do is 2. Needs lots of improvement with food and he needs to be a lot happier or at least act like it around customers.
