Decided to have an early Sunday dinner so I got here at 4, after shopping not far away…read more I decided to start off with chicken soup which turned out to be a great starter. Delilah is my waitress and after I ordered the duck, I asked if it's a Long Island duck then told her a joke about a woman, named Mrs Goldberg, wanting to buy a Long Island duck!! A new worker, a young man in the poultry shop brings her various ducks and each time she gets one she checks it by sticking her finger into the ducks' butt. All rejected as a Rhode Island duck and a New Jersey duck. Finally he brings her a Long Island duck. She then squints through her glasses and, then in a strong ethnic accent, says, " gee you're new here, where do you come from?" The guy bends over and responds, "tell ya what lady why don't you tell me!!" Anyway, the duck comes after the soup, Delilah comments, " well here's your Long Island duck!" It's made perfectly. Moist and tender a nice portion. a tasty orange sauce is perfect. I'm very satisfied. The meal is accompanied with string beans and my favorite turnips. They really make the latter deliciously. Just like my mom made them at Thanksgiving. Overall a great meal at a reasonable price.

We were starving and the food took a little while. My kids devoured the chicken parm. I enjoyed my calzone although I do wish it was filled more! We asked for some of the butcher paper and crayons for our kids to draw on. We had a nice experience here.

The music lowered then conversation. The party had moved past announcements. Ordered Firefly 75s (a rife on. French 75) which were all made though in a tumbler rather than a stem. Caesar salad was ample for us to split before the large "Lord of Brooklyn" pizza-- the reason we came, with its smoked ricotta. Pie came, which was excellent, cracker crust, spicy sausage, but with plain ricotta. Good food, just not what we craved. The red wine we wanted took a while to order at all and even longer to arrive. We like this place. Ain't fancy, but has good pie. Just a touch off that night. We'll be back. Outside I hope.

Since they gave me the wrong drink, they said that it was on the house. Sounds good to me! For my meal, I was eyeing the ceviche (someone at our table had it) and I asked the server what he suggested. He suggested a few things but really liked the quesabirria. I decided to get that and it was delicious. Later on, another colleague showed up and ordered chips and guac, he told me that I could help myself to it because he wasn't going to eat all. I had no problem helping him out. The guac was delicious and the chips were light and crispy. I like the restaurant but I wish it wasn't a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station. Please watch the seafood here as I spent a day and a half in Maimonides Hospital. Please do better with the fish selection. I can't give them 1 star bc the service/ staff were great and it had a good vibe but I have to give it a 2 because of how bad I had food poisoning
