Food was almost great. The pork belly was a great portion and flavor but could have been more tender. The bone marrow with arugula was good but was missing something small. The wings with arugula and maybe goat cheese (asked the waitress she didn't know and didn't care to come back with an answer) was very tasty with an easy going glaze and tenderness. Mac and cheese was creamy but had no real flavor. I asked if the salted caramel espresso martini was sweet and was answered by the waitress "it is on the dessert drinks", it's not overly sweet, it's good and the foam on top held the flavor of the salted caramel. No dress code or expectations, the people next to me had shorts and open toed sandals or slippers on. Every chair and booth have no cushion it's flat plain unsupported wood, very uncomfortable if you want to sit for more than half an hour and enjoy your meal comfortably. So service was off putting and so was the lack of date night it could be with zero expectations of dress code. Food could be good depending on what you order. Very close to being a three star.

3.4 out of 5. From the moment we arrived at Number Ten in Chattanooga, the smoky aroma drifting from the kitchen promised that we were in for something special. The welcome we received was warm -- the hostess greeted us with genuine friendliness, setting a comfortable tone for the evening. We opted for the ribeye and lamb chops. Unfortunately, the ribeye lacked savor, needing a more assertive hand with salt. The lamb chops sat on a bed of Swiss chard that, while "somewhat flavorful," leaned more bitter than complementary; the greens masked the meat rather than enhancing it. Our mac 'n' cheese was beautifully creamy, but again under‑seasoned -- smooth texture, but missing that final savor. The redeeming highlight of our evening was the Brussels sprouts and cocktails. The sprouts were wonderfully prepared -- caramelized edges, seasoned yet well balanced (more please?). The drinks displayed both creativity and skill, elevating the experience when some of the food felt like it needed a bit more refinement. Take home message: Number Ten has many of the hallmarks of a great steakhouse -- ambiance, promise in smoke, and standout sides and cocktails. Being from Texas which does beef well, the execution of some of the mains felt off-base. With just a little more attention to seasoning balance, this place could truly live up to its promise.

    Creme brulee was so good!

Another fabulous meal at number 10! The ribeye and strip steak were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. My husband also enjoyed the wedge salad and fr. onion soup. Our server Laura W. was perfect. Attentive and friendly but not overly attentive. The creme brulee was very good. I always love the atmosphere here and am never disappointed.

I wanted to start off with our first impression! Many folks commented that it was hard to find and not in a good location. I think that statement is extremely false. It was very easy to find and in a great up and coming location. I felt comfortable and safe. The ambiance is very inviting! Dark (not too dark) with an intimate vibe. A great place for a celebration or romantic date night. We had a reservation for NYE and were quickly greeted and sat at booth table. All the tables had candles on the table which added to the romantic feel. Our server greeted us promptly and took drink orders immediately. She even had recommendations which I LOVE. Sometimes making decisions is hard!!! The food portions are HUGE. We started with the Wedge Salad. It is basically a salad for two people. The entree portions were also HUGE. My husband got the meatloaf. He does a lot of cooking/smoking himself so is normally disappointed but he said it was in his top 3 favorites! That says a lot. I had the Manny's Chicken and it was super tasty. I could finish it all but I am not sad that I had some leftovers for later. I would definitely go back and would highly recommend to others.

The Vibe: Cute little restaurant tucked a way in southeast Chattanooga. The lights were dim, the exposed brick was classy, and the restaurant seemed clean. Be prepared to wait for your food. We had a reservation for 8pm on a Friday and it took about 45 min for our appetizer. I think they were short staffed. Our waitress was sweet, but seemed frazzled most of the night. The Food: We ordered the bone marrow as an app and the burger, mac-n-cheese and chicken wings for dinner. Bone marrow was flavorful and unique. It was honestly the best dish we had. The chicken wings were huge and not seasoned enough. The honey mustard they paired with it was needed. The burger was okay. It was a little too sweet. The fries were very tasty. The mac-n-cheese was just meh. It could have used more cheese and 10 min in the oven. The steak seems to be the most popular dish, so if you're a steak person and you want to try a new restaurant...check it out. Just be prepared to wait and be ready to spend about $50+ per steak.

    My AMAZING 14 oz Ribeye!!

Everything was Amazing. From the bone Marrow appetizer to the EXCELLENT 14oz Ribeyes the food was amazing Our server Gracie was perfect and new what we needed before we even asked. We HIGHLY recommend #10 in Chattanooga!!

I was really excited to try Number 10. The ambiance was cozy but the food was 50/50. My steak was cooked nicely but the quality seemed to be lacking on some items like the mushrooms. The mushrooms tasted like they were previously frozen as they were really watery, since the sides were a la carte this was a little disappointing

What a fantastic find! We're just back from months in Ecuador and this was such a treat! We had eaten a late lunch, so we had soup and salad this evening. The wedge was delicious and my husband lucked out with a wonderful salad also. The French onion soup was amazing and also the clam chowder! This service was top notch And the interior was beautiful. Big thanks to the hostess for seating us on such a busy night! We will be back for a nice big steak next time.

My husband took me here for our 1 year anniversary dinner. I was so excited to try it out, as it has been on my list for awhile now. We made a reservation, and arrived a little bit early. They were able to seat us right away! We loved the ambiance of the restaurant. There was nice mood lighting, candles at each table, and nice music playing throughout. The only things that could've been better was if we were sat at the two top table over by the window, and if the restaurant wasn't so loud. We started off with a French onion soup and a wedge salad. I forgot to snap a picture of my husband's soup, but the wedge salad was delightful. I'm not sure if they offer a smaller portion, but next time I will definitely ask because it was huge for a starter! My husband enjoyed his soup as well. For dinner, my husband did the fillet, and I did the ribeye. Both cooked medium rare, and they were cooked to perfection. We had a side of green beans and Mac and cheese. We loved both of the sides they came with the Mac and cheese was our favorite. For dessert we tried the pecan pie. This did not disappoint. It was the perfect size, and super delicious. Definitely enjoyed or experience, and we are looking forward to our next visit to number 10!

Number 10 is a good addition to Chattanooga's restaurant scene. It has a real steakhouse vibe. They have some kinks to work out to be 5 star review. The good: Flavorful steaks with generous portions. I love shareable sides. Really good Italian spinach. The prices are fair for the quality level of the steaks. All were cooked properly. The kinks: The place had a nice crowd but was not packed. Service in general seemed a bit behind. The bar was overwhelmed with a drink order taking 20 minutes. My gut says they're under staffed. Everyone was pleasant and well trained, just stretched thin. The temperature on the sides we ordered was less than hot (I'm talking to you mushrooms) and the steaks should be presented sizzling on a hot plate. We'll be back. It just needs a bit more work to earn that 5th star.

Looking for the perfect new date night spot? This is your place! I kept seeing Instagram posts about this restaurant opening and we decided to go give it a try! Immediately when you walk in you are greeted with the homey decor and low lighting, which I loved. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful with their recommendations. I ended up ordering the fried chicken sandwich (I've never been a fan of steak), one of my friends got the ribeye and said it was amazing, and my other friend ordered the trout and also loved it! All in all, this was a great experience and I highly recommend and will definitely be back myself!

Nothing arrives looking like it spent twenty minutes being positioned with tweezers. It's meat, bread, potatoes, pickles and sauce--the sort of food that requires napkins and leaves evidence. The Reuben is borderline obscene. A heap of deeply colored, tender meat barely contained between aggressively toasted bread, melted cheese and pickles. It's messy. It falls apart. You stop caring almost immediately. The turkey club is the quieter surprise. Thick slices of actual turkey--not the sad, uniformly circular stuff that's been haunting office refrigerators since the Eisenhower administration--piled onto grilled bread with bacon, avocado and enough richness to make the whole thing work. Then there are the potatoes: thick, fried rounds with crisp, dark edges and soft centers, served without ceremony alongside ketchup and a creamy orange sauce. Simple food done properly. There's nowhere for bad technique to hide. And that's really the appeal of Main Street Meats. They're not trying to convince you that lunch needs a backstory. They butcher animals, understand meat, make sandwiches and appear to take all of it seriously without taking themselves too seriously. Michelin noticed the place. After eating here, it's not particularly difficult to understand why. Come hungry. Order too much. Get the Reuben. Wear a shirt you don't particularly care about.

It was also a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. I love that they work with local organizations for fresh vegetables and meat! Our waiter was very nice and fairly attentive. But the food... For the good - the crab cake was delicious. It was like all crab meat with no filler and was very tasty. The pimento cheese was also SO yummy. You could tell it was made fresh and had a great flavor. The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.

Everything about this experience was top-notch! From being seated quickly upon entering, to explaining how the ticket validation thing worked (more info at the end), customer service was some of the best I've been shown. The ambiance is chic but casual-great for both cozy date night or fun family night. Our server was so friendly and patient as we asked questions about the menu. I ordered the grilled salmon with spicy crab remoulade and my guy ordered the smoked wings with a side of fries. I was happy that I was able to select my own sides from the ones on the menu so I opted for the fried Brussels sprouts with maple and bacon and the buttermilk whipped potatoes. After a short wait, our food was brought out. This was truly one of the best salmon dishes I have ever eaten! The salmon was cooked to my liking, the potatoes were soft and fluffy and the fried Brussels sprouts were absolutely divine and perfect. The remoulade was a little salty but it may have been just been my taste. The potatoes helped with that so it was not a deal breaker. My guy was pleased with his food as well and I could tell he enjoyed everything he ate. We agreed that we would take this trip back just to eat this meal again. It was truly a wonderful experience, from beginning to end. I highly recommend trying this gem out! Pro Tip: The restaurant validates parking. If you park in the lot across the street, do not prepay on the app or online. Ask the servers at the front to validate to save the $18 parking fee before you order and within 15 minutes after entering. Restaurant is beautiful with warm colors and wood touches you associate with a steakhouse. My order: Cocktail: Vieux Carre 5 stars - fantastic! A must try if you like Bourbon. App: Tuna Poke, 4 stars - fresh and tasty tuna with crispy wonton chips - there was also warm white rice on the plate which wasn't cohesive with the light, cold tuna. I left the rice on the plate. Truffle, Parm., Meatloaf, 4 stars - this was a very- very, rich, decadent meatloaf. Large portion with excellent mashed potatoes - the heavy richness of the meatloaf with the buttery mash was over the top - proceed with caution lol! Wait staff was fantastic, efficient and engaging.

Not sure if they are always this busy but they are located in what appears to be the heart of Chattanooga near a bunch of hotels so I suspect it is always a bit of a wait. I got their house salad with a side of ranch, and then for dinner I got what may have been a special - it was a 7 oz filet, crabcake, and shrimp, on a mashed potatoes. I will say that while I did enjoy the food, it is not the best steak, crabcake, or shrimp I've ever had. I do want to say that our waitress went out of her way to be amazing. By that point in the day, I was exhausted and just so hungry. She was attentive, got our food out to us fast, and was so kind.
