Buenos Aires native, Diego Nunez, opened the Covington location in June of 2022 & he's bringing us Argentine style empanadas with a delicious twist, including authentic flavors from around the world. He & his team have curated 16 varieties of empanadas that you can either have hot & ready or you can get them frozen to take home for a family dinner, a special event, or just a late night snack! I got the Chips & Salsa, Esquites, and Chicago, Buenos Aires & Banana Empanadas. Everything is hot & fresh, the bold flavors hit bite after bite & I could eat their Chimichurri on anything! The service was excellent as well, everyone was so kind & welcoming! My favorite bites were the Buenos Aires Empanada & the Esquites. I highly recommend! Have you tried them yet? His uncle has been making empanadas for 28 years. Wow! Respect. They have everything you can think of. Beef, chicken, vegan, pork, veggie and sweet. There's something for everyone. Besides the empanadas you can get some sides (a la carte) rice, salads and more! They also do catering. We wanted to try a variety, so we ordered: -Buenos Aires- ground beef, onion, bell pepper, green onion -Singapore-garlic buttered spinach, mozzarella, Parmesan -Parma- ham, mozzarella, Parmesan, oregano, green onion -Buffalo-Buffalo chicken, mozzarella It was hard to choose a favorite because they were all top notch. The fresh Chimichurri sauce enhanced the flavor. I would definitely come back again! Pricing is reasonable and they are so good!

Chacabanas was excellent from start to finish! Great spot for Cuban cuisine…read more I had both beef and chicken empanadas. The pastry was very flaky and crispy. Between the savory beef and chicken, I could not pick my favorite. The Yuca fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, creating a great texture combination. They were seasoned with garlic oil and sprinkled with shredded cheese. After these, I had to try the El Cubano. It was a home run, a really delicious and well made sandwich. And everyone has a little room for dessert. Both the Flan and Tres Leches were the perfect was to cap off this outstanding meal. Chacabanas is

I heard positive things about the food and the owner from two people who live here. There is not much seating here. There are a few stools, but they are not that comfortable. My older mother couldn't sit on them. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside. Luckily, it was nice and we were able to eat across the street outside the market and grab a beer at the external bar. We grabbed a mix of food items. The El Cubano was delicious and filling! I couldn't taste the mustard too much, but the meat was well seasoned. The bread is crispy and soft all at the same time! I would definitely get another one. The empanadas exceeded expectations. We had one chicken and one beef. The chicken was so flavorful and juicy! The crust on the empanadas is flaky but soft, very well done. The beef was more savory and a little less juicy than the chicken. They both tasted great. We had green sauce, which helped make both even better. The yuca fries were the best I've ever had. Skinny enough to not be too gummy or dense. I only wish I got more. They were delicious in the green sauce. I'm not sure if the sauce was for the yuca or the empanadas, but it was phenomenal on both. Prices were decent. Staff was friendly. The food didn't take long. I'm not sure about other Cuban food in Cincy, but this is pretty solid.
