How he was able to place the back speakers on the wall without any visible wires is magic. Recently he did an upgrade of my TV and AudioControl equipment. I had a somewhat small room to spare and discussed what I wanted, my budget and AHT was able to take it from there. Worked with accommodating my "must haves", "good to have" and all else. The work was done on time to specs. Their responsiveness was fantastic. Was able to work long distance for some of it. The measurements, finish and attention to detail were meticulous and perfect. The entire project from start to finish can be viewed on the AHT website. My kids who are hard to please were impressed by the finish of the room. It is a good hideout, a respite from which I can tune out the rest of the world and be in another place for a while. If I had to build another system, I would use Chris and Home Theater Solutions Hawaii. Chris came recommended by our contractor who said he would not work with anyone else on a home theater. Our meetings mapped out the specifications for both the system as well as the room construction so they complemented one another. I appreciated being included in the communications so I could understand the impact of the changes on the final design and offer input. What I appreciated most was Chris' expertise in matching the equipment to my budget. While I did a ton of research on speakers and projectors, I lack the practical experience of pairing devices together into a system. Through numerous conversations, Chris was able to understand what I was looking for and tweaked the equipment list accordingly. I started the process looking for an Atmos 9.1 system and am incredibly happy with the 7.2 setup I have now. I also appreciated that he didn't go significantly over-budget and I never felt like he was trying to up-sell anything to me. These systems run the cost gamut so there is always an upgrade to be had. The equipment cost was at the high-end of what I wanted to spend, but the end result completely exceeded my expectations.

He gave a realistic assessment of cost to fix versus value of the item and gave an honest recommendation. 5 stars. Rain or shine Richard is always in. During the crazy 2 weeks of rain, my son's computer stopped working. Richard was still working helping businesses with their network failures through the storm. Always good to call ahead and he can work out time to meet if necessary. Reasonable pricing for both labor and parts. Easy to understand explanation. My son's laptop is an ASUS Vivobook 14, model number X1404V. He claims it isn't charging despite it being plugged into the laptop charger. He's tried at different outlets. We tried getting a replacement charging cord and that didn't work, so it's for sure something with the computer itself. We spoke to Yoda at Gadget Guyz about the issue and he let us know it will require bench work and gave a referral to Easy Computer. Dropped off on Tuesday for diagnosis. Results of diagnosis on Thursday. Richard confirmed that there was at least one bad component in the motherboard, so it would require a full motherboard replacement. A motherboard replacement would require dismantling the entire computer and replacing it and putting it completely back together. For a motherboard replacement they are not done in-house, they are sent out to New York. Parts alone would be nearly the cost of the computer brand new. Labor and to send out would double it. Picked up Friday. Richard gave a good recommendation on next steps. Consider if it was still covered under warranty, where I purchased it, what would be covered. He was very sweet to work with.
