What an amazing and hassle-free experience! I have had to purchase many tires over the years for both my commercial and personal vehicles and have never had it be this easy, quick, and friendly! Thank you so much to Brandon and crew for getting me back on the road safely and in such a short amount of time. I wasn't sure that I would be able to have the tire replaced after 7pm but they were able to take my vehicle right in and start immediately. I am truly grateful for the knowledge, expertise, and no-nonsense experience with replacing my tire, doing an alignment, and giving me honest, straightforward information. You are a lifesaver! I will be back to purchase tires for my other vehicles, as well. read more

NTB - Quick and effortless experience! - Auto Repair Near Me - Mckinney, Texas

This was my first visit to this location. I came in to have tires rotated , and when I told the gentleman that I had been to another location for my last rotation he offered to do the rotation for free, and quoted me 35 minutes to complete the job. After about an hour I came back and saw my car was still on the rack with tires removed , and they told me it would be additional time before they could complete. They said it would take another 15 minutes even though the original quote was 35 minutes. When I told him it would have been best if they had lift picked up the phone and called me and told me there is a delay , but instead at that point he told me the reason there's a delay is someone was injured in the shop and they had to go to the emergency room as a way of telling me I shouldn't be complaining. What started off as a great experience turned into a bad experience, and the reason I won't return to this store. The bad experience comes from the lack of communicating when they know there will be a delay and we had an agreed upon time frame for completing the job before it started. read more

Stay away from this place. I would give zero stars if possible. They mislead customers and, in my experience, were completely dishonest about the parts they installed on my car. I went there for a brake replacement and specifically asked if they would be installing original OEM (manufacturer) brake parts. The female employee reassured me three separate times that they would be installing original manufacturer brakes. Based on those repeated assurances, I agreed to the service. Later, I took my car to the dealership for a routine oil change, and their technicians informed me that the brakes installed were aftermarket, not the original manufacturer parts I was explicitly promised. I contacted the shop and spoke with management. Instead of taking responsibility for the misinformation or honoring what I was promised, they refused to correct the issue, replace the brakes with the OEM parts they had assured me I was getting, or provide any meaningful resolution. If they are willing to misrepresent something as important as the parts being installed on your vehicle, it raises serious concerns about their honesty and business practices. Trust is everything when it comes to auto repairs, and this business completely lost mine. I would never return, and I strongly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere that values honesty, transparency, and stands behind what they tell their customers. read more

OMG, we LOVED the staff before they fired them all! Too honest I guess? The new staff ghosted us, was incredibly rude, and refused to give a message to their manager to call us back...........Sadly, after the new staff came in, we strongly advise not to go to Mavis...unless you just like being yelled at - if so, this is your store!!! read more

I came here 15 minutes before closing, which is not ideal, and I recognize that. But I called before I got there to ask if I came right now if they could give me an oil change. They said yes. I get there and all of the technicians are huddled up, not working on anything. I tell them that I was told they would be able to help and I apologize for being so close to closing. They looked annoyed but they told me to go inside and wait and they'd take care of it. I sit inside for 10 minutes and then the manager comes out and says that her technicians clocked out on her and they could not help me. Wasted 30 minutes coming over. She did offer $30 off when I come back, which I appreciated, but I wish I would've been told no over the phone. read more

Brandon the manager is amazing! I called ahead as I was bringing my newborn and he got me in and out so quickly! Highly reccomend them.

Used to come here all the time when it was NTB. Always felt like I got decent service and honest assessments. However, this time- I took my car in because my tire pressure was low. They said they could fix it, and then replace my tire sensor pressure gauges. Since the tire fix was free, I was all about paying for the gauges. They did the work, I got my car, and drove home, to leave my repaired car in the garage all night due to icy conditions. And yet...this morning THE SAME tire was flat. I take it back, and they say 'oh you must have gotten another nail! Well, now we have to replace the tire.' I got another nail...in the SAME tire...while it sat in my garage all night...are you for real?! Worst place with no accountability for just making a mistake yesterday. This is tough because that's been my place for years, but now I won't be back. Disappointing. read more

My tire blew out on the way home tonight at 5:30. I called NTB and asked if I could bring it there because they were open late. I told them I understood if they couldn't get the tire replaced tonight. I got there at about 6:00 and was done by 6:30. The employees were some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with. I highly recommend this location! read more

I arrived home to McKinney late at night after a two week business trip - my truck showed low tire pressure and I decided to handle it the next morning. The next morning there was a big snow storm. I called the store to see if they were open - I was shocked they answered and said "YES" come on in. I showed up in the cold and snowy weather and they patched my tire ASAP. I would give 10 Stars if I could. Be safe JT read more

*******************************BEWARE***************************** I have been dealing with the NTB on Custer for the last 12 years, and NEVER had an issue until TODAY. I had an appointment to bring my car in at 8AM for rear brakes. I checked in with Garrett, who is ALWAYS so nice, professional, and respectful. At 11:42 I called to check on my car, and the obscene amount of aggression I dealt with was beyond ludicrous. His name was ANTHONY. Anthony tells me they don't have a BMW there, then he says, 'oh, was it for brakes; the brakes just arrived'. So, I had asked him why they have had my car for 4 1/2 hours and he didn't think to call me to let me know they were going to have to keep my car all day and he went off on me and then hung up on me. I called back and Garrett answered the phone and said, 'I don't know where he got that information, your car is almost done and we are getting ready to test drive it, it should be done in about 20-30 minutes'. When I went to pick my car up, I asked to speak with ANTHONY, he said that's me and i told him that he needs to learn customer service that he was extremely rude and how no idea how to deal with customers, and that he should know what he's talking about before giving misinformation. He said that the information he gave was correct and that he 'COMMANDS RESPECT'. I will NEVER do business there again. Why should I spend money at an establishment when they feel it is okay to speak with people that way. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!! read more

Well I decided to give this place one more shot considering this is where I have been going the last two years. Again, a regret. I made an appointment at 12 PM for a standard oil change. My car was not even touched by 12:55PM. So you can only imagine my frustration, considering this has happened twice. Last time it took four hours. This time it took an hour before my car was even moved. I've never had this happen at any other place. The manager was very kind. But I feel like it needs to be communicated that if you make an appointment, you will not actually be getting your car touched at that time. It's basically still first come first serve. So I'm not sure what the point of making an appointment is if it's not actually gonna get done at that time. read more

Took my Honda in to get diagnostic done. Was told it was my sensors. I paid for it. Took over 2 week to get sensors replaced. Was told to drive it around to reset system. Drove about 1 mile and check engine light came on again. So, now I'm back to same issue, $250.00 later. The manager made me feel as if my wait time ( 2 weeks) was of no value. Apparently, he does not value me as a customer. Will never go to that location again. read more

Been going here for years. Bought lifetime alignment. Walk in today to an elderly lady complaining about the service she received. Staff was very, so what attitude. When it's my turn for assistance, they tell me that they don't have record of my lifetime alignment. The old company only had to provide three years of history. It's my fault for not keeping the receipt. Staff have absolutely no manners or customer service awareness. The manager just said they're looking on saying nothing like a bump on a log.these people are idiots. read more

Yasser and the crew at National Tire on Eldorado in McKinney TX replaced the brakes on my truck. They were very courteous, friendly and professional. Why do you make an appointment for 3:30PM and I come in with little kids and now it's 4:00 PM and you haven't even started on the car. Zero respect for other people's time...the first and LAST time NTB is getting my business. The worst part was they pushed for an air filter replacement, which I agreed. Well the next day while driving I notice a rattling sound in the front of the car. I pull over and pop the hood and guess what....the old air filter is just left in there!!! And these are supposed to be ASE-certified technicians! PS: If the NTB management is reading this...your employee "Farren B" at this location is insulting and racially abusing people for unfavorable Yelp reviews. Way to gain more customers! read more

Went in to have some tires from tire rack installed on my car. Also went ahead and did state inspection. A little while after, they came out with an inspection report that said Replace Brake Pads ASAP which was highlighted to emphasize the severe importance. They guy talking to me said I needed all four rotors and pads replaced as they were worn to the minimum pad thickness, with grooving and burns in the rotors, gave me a quote of $650+ for the job. If I wasn't savvy about cars I might have gone for it, as it sounded like it was going to fail inspection, but I passed. I know how easy and inexpensive brakes are, so I said I'd do it myself. The guy quickly recanted, saying it wouldn't fail inspection unless it was down to the metal, which I was happy about. Left, with the intent to replace brakes at my leisure. Fast forward about a month. I replace my lightly grooved rotors (which likely could have been machined) and rear pads at a thickness of 4.5 mm which is above the minimum of 3 mm. When I got to the fronts, they had a thickness of 8.5 mm, with no evidence of damage to the rotors. Long story short, don't be upsold with their fear tactics and dishonesty. Update: Farren, the guy defending NTB in the review below decided to send me a note saying " yeah well f you". Yes, these are the people who you are trusting to provide you service with integrity and honesty. read more

NTB - "Replace brake pads ASAP" according to NTB. - Auto Repair Near Me - Mckinney, Texas

After a recent oil change at this location of NTB, my car started leaking oil. I made an appointment for 8:30 AM to bring it back and have them look at it. When I got there at 8:30, the shop was all closed up and the employees were in the parking lot. They said the manager was stuck in traffic for another 30 minutes. The worker took my name and phone number and keys and I told him what the problem was. When I came back one hour later the shop was open and full of people, but my car still hadn't been checked in to the system and gotten a ticket. Lots of other cars were on the lifts ahead of me, Even though I had been the first and only person there when they were supposed to open. After an hour and 50 minutes of waiting, I asked when they thought my car would be done. They went and checked and came back with my keys and said it was done. They said that the washer (?) wasn't tightened enough when they had changed the oil, and that was causing it to leak. They said, "It shouldn't leak anymore, Sorry about that." I took the whole morning off work to wait around for them to fix their problem. This is frustrating. read more

Great service for a quick tote mail job. The guys there were very nice and courteous. No complaints and i was in and out in about 30 minutes

UPDATE: so not only did they "forget" to do a tire rotation and add windshield wiper fluid but they didn't even glance at my tires. A month or Two after coming here my two front tires explode while driving on preston, they were so worn out In the middle that the metal was showing. Extremely unsafe. Any other time I came here the techs would tell me there's a million things wrong with my car. I get my oil changed at a tire place and they can't even glance at the tires.... so lazy! made an appointment for an oil change on 09/18/19 for 5pm and I didn't leave until 7:30-8ish... the website also says that it includes a tire rotation and windshield washer fluid top off + more. All I got was the oil change, if it comes with all the extras and I was in there for almost 3 hours why wasn't the extra services included in mine? I know it wasn't provided to me because there is a mark on my back driver side tire and my car is alerting me that I need windshield wiper fluid. The man that was also there in the waiting room had been in since 1pm and his car was still not touched, he was just getting an oil change as well. When I left his car still had not been serviced. The guys working are always very nice but when you say something is included in a service you need to deliver to your customers, especially if you make them wait for so long when there's barely anyone there. I attached a photo straight from the site that I booked my appointment on. read more

I have been told not to knock anything until you try it. For "NTB", this will be my first and last time. Discount Tire will FOREVER maintain my business. The guy that assisted me has about as much skill in customer service as a dead person. Hands down the worst customer service that I have received in dealing with my car. I failed to mention that the Elfarado store sent me to the 121 store and the "out the door pricing" was off by more than $30. Shame on you NTB read more

To be fair, I understand that NTB does not have the same resources as auto repair shops that are more full-service, but I wish they were more honest about what they are the best option for and what they are not. When I failed my inspection just before the holidays I was told there was an engine code that had to be corrected, probably my catalytic converter. Sure enough, it was, however when NTB ran the code they told me I'd need to replace the entire catalytic converter piece and the O2 sensors. This was going to be around $2100. When I explained I was a single mom and didn't have that kind of money, they made no suggestions on cheaper options, just explained that they might be able to take $100 off. Now, I understand they don't want to send business elsewhere, but if it's not something they can do at a reasonable rate, it shouldn't be a service they offer! Pronto Muffler in Plano was able to replace the catalytic converter for less than $400 (I never needed the O2 sensors replaced) and were quick and easy. The guys here were nice to me, I have no complaints on their service, but I do think they should revise the list of services they offer in the face of such blatant competition. If they can't compete, they shouldn't screw people over who weren't as lucky as I was to be referred to a less expensive option! read more

Purchased tires with the road hazard. Just took it in because the front tire had a slow leak. No consulting or communication at all. Had a great experience at NTB Custer today. Found out I needed a new battery and didn't want to go to dealership to pay an inflated price. Called NTB and spoke with Keith, who said they had a battery available and it would be beneficial if I came in to have the car evaluated. I drove up 15 minutes later, and Keith immediately checked me in and took the car for evaluation. Within 5 minutes he confirmed that the current battery needed to be replaced, and I had a new battery within 15 minutes. Great experience thanks to Keith's customer service. read more

I went in for a tire repair, oil change, tire rotation, and alignment. One tire had a nail in it and that was supposedly fixed but I noticed the mark they made on the tire that was to be repaired was still in the same location. They did not rotate the tires yet that was on my receipt that said it was done. Who knows if they actually did the alignment or even the oil change? I went out of town and left my car parked for a week and came back and the tire had very low pressure. Took my car back and miraculously there was another nail in the tire that they did not seem to find the first time. They asked if I drive through construction zones a lot. My car had been parked in a garage for a week. Do not use this place. They're dishonest and do half, if any, of the work read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Long story short: Went in to National Tire & Battery to get my 2 front tires replaced and an alignment done. Manager called me "Little Lady" and said, after making me wait over an hour, that I needed new shocks and struts. On a three-year-old car with 71,000 miles on it. For a grand total of over $2,100.00, I don't know a lot about cars, but I knew this had to be bull. I said, "Wait one minute, let me call my husband." The face on the manager's expression said it all. Called husband, in front of manager, who told me to go to his trusted mechanic at Integrity Automotive Repair of McKinney and see if said shocks & struts were, in fact, necessary. Manager tried to talk me out of it, saying I was going to be driving an unsafe car. I told him to just replace the tires and give me back my car. Paid for tires, drove over to Integrity. It took them all of five minutes (which they didn't charge me anything for) to determine that I just needed an alignment, and the shocks, struts, and brakes were all 100% good. "Come back in next Wednesday morning, we'll do your alignment for $70. You don't need any of this other service - National Tire & Battery is known for trying to pull this [expletive deleted]. We get at least two folks a week coming in with quotes like this, or coming in with repairs NTB screwed up on." I'm never going to NTB again, ever. read more

If there is an option of giving negative 5 Stars, I would !!! I saw all the other comments and realized I am not the only one who had this experience. Manager - Lester Wyman I went in to get a quote for 4 tires, expensive ones since I have different sizes ( front & rear). I had a competing quote from Discount Tire and wanted to see if NTB can match it. I pointed out some inconsistencies in the quote they had shared and requested him to compare with the Discount Tire quote. Instead of Lester started rambling and shouting at me , saying I am assuming he is an idiot ,etc etc and uttered a racial slur too. Finally he told me to leave the store immediately. Didn't wait even for a minute, got out and tried to call the District Manage ( Rob), 3 times and even left a VM. So far I haven't gotten a call back from Rob. I plan to escalate to NTB corporate on this guy Lester as well. There are limits to which any Store Manager can behave and be disrespectful. Lester crossed every limit. read more

This location is always helpful and courteous. This isn't the closest NTB, but prefer because of the professionalism of the employees. I live in Fort Worth and was in the area for a drs appt. I realized I needed a state inspection and called ntb off Custer & 121 to see how long of a wait they had. I spoke to Shon who was very polite and explained everything to me putting my mind at ease. He told he he could get me right in and when I showed up 15 minutes later he got me right in as he said. I went into the showroom where the seating was very comfy watched some tv played on my phone. His restrooms were very nice and decorated with nice things(I like the little car model on the shelf) which isn't common for auto shop to have a decorated bathroom so I was surprised and pleased. I watched the guys in the shop through the window and saw them all working hard not slacking like a lot of shops. They all seemed to actually care about the customers as much as Shon does. I did get a recommendation for fluid flushes that are recommended by CHEVY based off mileage (66k) he told me (30,60,90) is what most manufacturers recommend. Overall I was surprised and extremely happy with my experience with Shon and his team at NTB Custer /121. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will absolutely probably come back to Shon continuously even living so far away in Fort Worth. Thank you Shon and team for taking such great care of me today. read more
