I went to this place to do state inspection for my 2006 Honda Civic. A little while after, I got a call from the rep and they came out with an inspection report that said front break pads are not in a good shape and i need to replace it in order to get the inspection clearance. It would cost 570$. Since I disagree to pay 570$, they asked me "HOW MUCH YOU CAN PAY"..? (it sounds they were playing with me). So, I paid the inspection fees 25.50$ and immediately went to another mechanic, since I know my car doesn't have break problem since I had a service from dealer last month. That mechanic confirmed there is no issue in the break and cleared my inspection on the same day ( few hours later). Never go here! Took my 2003 Ram to have two front tires mounted, they destroyed my wheel lock key and said i would be charged 55.00 to remove locks with a socket! All i can say is....They better have used a fucking Snap-On socket for that money! There was NOTHING negative about my wheel lock key before i got there, the problem was....they had INEXPERIENCED people working the shop! I first went to NTB late June for what I thought was just an alignment and inspection, but they took one look and promptly told me what bad shape my tires were in. They took me out And showed me, then offered to quickly order tires for my truck. We (my husband and I) were traveling the next week. Not only did they have the tires ready for us when we got back, they put them on and completed the alignment in a very timely manner! They did forget to do the inspection though. I called today just to see if they had time to do an inspection, and stated I thought it had been done ( no big deal that it wasn't, I should have double checked at the time of my service), when I arrived they made me a priority since they made a mistake! I wasn't going to write a review, but since NTB emailed me and asked me to, here we go. I made an appt for 630 pm for an oil change/tire rotation. Showed up, saw they do air filters as well, asked them to take care of that for me as well so hubby doesn't have to mess with it. Brief back and forth in which an attempt to upsell me to synthetic oil change was made... "see, right here it says 0W oil, and that's synthetic".. me: "and right after that is says OR 5W, which is not. and it's never had synthetic, you can check the paperwork for every other oil change I've ever had, at Toyota in the glove box. Surely, they wouldn't have done it completely wrong 10 times, right?". I think he was tired of arguing with me and left to pull my car in. Sat there. and sat there. Cars came in after me, left before me. Did I mention I had an appointment? got up, looked through the window to the bay where they service cars, saw techs standing around talking, pushing trashcans, walking idly, not working on cars. Maybe this was retribution for not upgrading to the synthetic oil change? Two hours after I came in, endless games of online rummy, and a nearly dead battery later, my car is done. for an oil change, and a couple of air filters swapped out. The joint wasn't that busy, and I had an appointment. so, yeah. Got in my car this morning, realized they didn't reset my maintenance light. meh, easy fix. I had a tire that was leaking for over 4 months. I kept ignoring it, and figured I'd get a patch when it got important. Well two weeks ago, I was chilling and minding my business when the tired exploded and shred. It was 4:45 in the morning, so imagine how inconvenient it was. (Very.) My jack was so warped I couldn't even get the tire off. But since I live on Custer, I was fortunate enough to get it to NTB, where I parked for 90 minutes and watched the sun come up. My best friend Oz was forced to keep my company as I waited. When the shop opened at 7:20, Will walked up to me. He's a nice young man with a strong knowledge of cars and tires, plus a friendly disposition. He actually put my spare on without charging me, and checked all my tires. He showed me that at least 2 of my tires were close to their death. I wasn't able to change my tires immediately, but I got a quote for some tires. My car had Yokohama tires on them, but I ended up coming back and getting a good, but not amazing brand of tires for $448.00, including a 1 year warranty. Service overall was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I don't remember all the gentlemen who assisted, but I am pleased and grateful they were able to help. (But I'm still getting another set of Yokohamas when I get my stacks up.) read more

after going here for new tires, my engine cover fell off on the way home, took it back so they could fix it and said they took it off (i've taken my tires off, you don't need to take the engine splash cover off to do that) they zip tied it and it fell off within the week and i can't find another one anywhere online to buy. came back here to get tires to give them another chance and within 6 months the tire doesn't have a nail in it but just deflates randomly daily and idk what to do about it. solid stuff. read more

This store has the utmost professional and hardworking people I've ever dealt with in the 17 yrs I've been driving. They run a tight ship and treat everyone with respect. It is their JOB to tell customers what is good/bad on their cars. This is a business people, it's not a charity. You don't have to fix your car but wouldn't you rather know what it's issues are? Or end up on the side of the road broken down..? They're just advising you. Don't take everything so personally. This store is so busy trying trying to push unnecessary sales that they forgot to do what the customer asked for! I brought my car for a tire rotation, since the fronts showed more wear than the rears. I was advised to buy new tires (that were actually a poor fitment for my car) although I was told that the tires were still good and would pass inspection. I declined the new tires and asked for the rotation anyway. When I got home, I realized that they had not performed the rotation. They won't be seeing me again. read more

As predicted, some time later, different staff, different experience. With some online shopping found that their online price was the best overall (net of installation), and called in to order. The response was that it didn't match their current price, and that the tire was replaced with a newer one. HOWEVER, he checked and said he can order the old model in and would honor the online price. I brought a printed copy of the screen shot I too, but he said he didn't need it. First of all, I have to say that these older reviews do NOT reflect the service I have recieved her the past few months. They've put air in my tires, completely complimentary with no obligation to try and upsell me things for my car. The younger blonde manager up front was very respectful, and I will continue to service my family's cars here because of this gentlemen. He leveled with me, and got me the best deals for both mine and my daughter's car. He explained the entire process they went through to find the problems that they did, and how they'd be solved. When it came to pricing he happily let me call other shops to compare prices. I think the gentlemen up front that do not specifically work on the cars are much nicer, happy and upbeat than the men that do the physical work on cars in the outside shop. Liars, thieves and bulls--t artists ! Bought 4 Pirelli tires about a year ago. Have had to take the car back 3 times for tire rebalancing. Each time they invented every creative excuse under the sun, except the obvious one: one of the tires is defective. Here's the first clue: when the sidewall has a big blob of red paint on it. They'll tell you it's nothing. Or it's a manufacturer's inventory marking. What it is (in my case) is a marking from the manufacturer that the tire is out of round. Of course I paid full retail price for it. They marked phony mileage on the bill to make it seem like I've driven 20,000 miles, when in fact only 8,000 miles, with 3 rebalances ! Said they didn't have ability to detect out of round tires. More B.S. !! Took it to Discount Tire, found the truth, and got the tire replaced under manufacturer warranty. I had an appointment set for this location and was told upon arrival that I would have to wait 3-4 hours because "appointments do not matter." Then I was told to ask the other patrons (whom had not made an appointment but were "ahead of me") to go in front of them. I went to a different location and was told that the person who told me this false information was Brian and that he was awful when he worked at the El Dorado location and only told me that because I was there for a service that was covered by warranty (which meant I would be paying). Brian obviously doesn't realize that warranty means that I already payed for a service. On top of that, the El dorado location told me that appointments do indeed matter. I suggest that if you want quality service and made an appointment DO NOT go to the CUSTER location. They will not honor your service contracts, your appointments, and if Brian is working, you will not get good customer service. read more

Had unusual situation. Spoke to what I thought was knowledgeable rep on phone who recommended one of two tires. Since I will be giving up my lease shortly, one was a mid-range and the other a lower priced tire, both with good reviews. When I went into store to make final decision, this rep not available and person I spoke with told me not to purchase either, in particular the low priced tire since it "was only for people with no money." I had researched both and felt either would meet my needs but left store since this was either a case of arrogance or unnecessarily upselling. The person I worked with, Keith was extremely knowledgeable and his customer service was impeccable. I needed tires but I also had an issue with my battery and some unknown problems. However, he explained everything to me in a way I could understand and did not try to sell me anything I did not need, never did I feel like I was being "sold". As a woman with 2 small ones in the car I thought it would be easier to stop here to get air put in my tire. Most tire places provide complimentary pressure checks and air but NOPE! Not here.. I've been twice because it's right around corner from my home and both times no one wanted to help me. Several guys were standing around and didn't even ask how can I help when I rolled up and rolled my window down, they jst ignored me until I said EXCUSE ME, can someone help me? I was finally able to get air in my tire but it was like I was a bother, no one seemed to be happy to be working there, no smiles. The second time my tire was almost flat and I went there and had same issue, this time I had to get out car and ask someone to look at tire if it needs replaced or just air.. They weren't busy, several guys were jst standing there, I waited for about 10 minutes and left and went to race trac and put air in tire myself. After those experiences, I will NEVER take my car there again to be serviced. They won't get a dime even though the opportunity was there since it was conveniently located near me. Stopped in a routine oil change. Watched thru the window the whole time as mechanic didn't use a funnel to replace my oil, and, surprise surprise, spilled oil on my engine. After taking an extra hour to attempt to clean and burn off the spilled oil, my car now smells like burnt oil. Joy. Save your money and go somewhere else. And I've learned it's never a good thing for 5 mechanics to be huddled around your vehicle during a routine oil change. I wasn't going to write a review, and in fact did not have a Yelp account. But, NTB asked me to. My problem is a familiar one. Made an appointment for an oil change, which in hindsight is obviously a ridiculous thing to do. You may as well just drop your car off at whatever time you want, and just come to get it at the end of the business day. I mean, that's how they are treating every car anyway. Your appointment means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It does not mean that your car is going to get an oil change at that time, or that it will be done in any kind of timely matter. I came back almost two hours later, and it was not done. The worst part is, NTB does not care enough about what you think to ask you to respond to them so they can actually see what you say. They invite you to post it on Yelp, where they won't see it unless they are looking for it. I would not recommend this location of NTB, or any other one that I have been to. I am currently looking for a service center that actually cares about whether or not they are RETAINING you as a customer. read more

GREAT GREAT customer service today from GARRETT!! WOW I don't have enough time to say how THANKFUL I am of his EXCELLENT AND DILIGENCE he displayed today! I was misdiagnosed twice and because things didn't quite make since he took charge to see who and why it wasn't adding up. Garrett decided he didn't want me to come back dissatisfied so he started from the beginning to double check everything and WOW I AM EXTREMELY GRATEFUL he did. My AC was not working properly and it has been ENORMOUSLY (worse than extremely lol) hot the last few days driving around with NO air. OMG I CANT explain how AWFUL I felt with no AC!!!!!! THANK GOD for Garrett!!!! I am leaving with a properly fixed AC and I won't have to be worried about me possible falling out somewhere because I had some heat stroke or something lol. If you have little ones and you dread waiting in a shop, this is the place to go. Pretty clean, tv in the waiting area and room for a stroller. Tried having an oil change for my 2016 Honda Pilot. It would've been my first, lucky for me, I stopped it even before it became my first. Their price was ridiculous and overpriced! They're about to charge me for almost $90 for an oil change (even if it was synthetic oil they're using)! I was a bit surprised, all of a sudden, I tried to think had I ever been charged that much for the same oil change. I called McDavid Honda (121 and Tollway) and asked for the same service, they go, $50 bucks! I went back in and immediately told the NTB guys to stop! Good thing they haven't started the service. I told them Honda's price and all of a sudden the guy wanted to give me a $20 coupon. I said no, took my keys and sped to Honda! read more
