I ended up parking in the 7eleven lot which you aren't supposed to do. There was one female working the front when I arrived. She was sweet and helpful in terms of recommending. I ended up getting the mats in irie which was pineapple, mango, banana, ginger and orange juice. And get this..... she freshly squeezed the oranges. The pricing is on par for a juice bar $9.50 for a 20oz cup. I'd definitely go back.

The owner is the one making and running everything, and you can tell wants it to feel like a local run shop, which it is, vs. commercial (like a big, franchise smoothie shop). We got a strawberry banana smoothie with peanut butter, and an açaí bowl. She told us everything is organic from the fruit, sweeteners, and toppings down to the milks she uses. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff is also amazing, super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. This piqued my interest to find out more about the company, and I came to learn that they specialized in açaí bowls. I was working in Westchester the other day and noticed that there was a PB in here in Tarrytown, so I decided to head over and check them out for lunch. This PB is located on Main St in the heart of Tarrytown's commercial hub. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by the menu and ordering counter/production. The aesthetics were bright, with mostly light blues and grey wood tones throughout the space. The large windows in the front let a lot of light in, and there are stools that line the perimeter. While açaí and pitaya bowls are the star of the menu, PB also serves smoothies, juices, and coffee. Additionally, they carry snacks made by various companies. I was here for an açaí bowl; they have a large selection with all of them containing the açaí base along with banana and other components. The tropical bowl looked good - in addition to the açaí and banana, it contained granola, pineapple, coconut flakes, and honey. I really enjoyed it - it was a generous portion without being too big, the fruit was fresh, and it played against the cold açaí and crunchy granola. Service was fast and friendly; I decided to take my order to go and they provided a lid and bag for easy transport. Overall, I was impressed with my first Playa Bowls experience - they have a large variety, and the ability to have multiple flavor combinations keeps every visit fresh. I'm looking forward to them opening in White Plains and exploring more of their menu.

This was my first-ever açaí bowl, and I have to admit, it was pretty good. What surprised me most was how filling such a small bowl could be. I left feeling full after just a regular-sized bowl. That said, I wasn't completely blown away by the flavor. Maybe it's because I'm new to açaí bowls, but I expected it to be a little sweeter. To me, the texture reminded me somewhat of flavored crushed ice. It was refreshing and enjoyable, but I found myself wishing there were a few more flavor options or a little more sweetness to really make it pop. What truly stood out was the customer service. The two young ladies behind the counter were outstanding. They were friendly, patient, engaging, and genuinely seemed to enjoy helping customers. They walked my daughter through the rewards program and answered all her questions. The funny part is my daughter has been going to Sol Bol for years and never signed up, but after talking with them, she finally did. That's how you know they did their job!
