I have an old porcelain Angel that has 10 lights. I tried to just change a light bulb and it instantly burned out. No one seems to have the right bulbs until I saw a 10 light string at novelty lights. Great price, bought two and now my angel is lit up and I have many spare bombs. Thanks! read more

I became obsessed two weeks ago when I decided I just HAD to have white incandescent twinkle lights. Most twinkle lights will keep 80 percent of the bulbs on then flash/twinkle the other 20 percent, this gives you a predictable look as the same 20 percent flash. I wanted above and beyond these types being sold in only a few select stores. (Ace Hardware being one) I then fell into a DEEPER rabbit hole researching how twinkle lights even work, I'd need an electrician to translate at this point and it's not in my Yelp budget, but it has to do with amps and the bulb becoming warm, flicking its self off and then the amps being pushed down the line, until another small bulb becomes too warm and clicks itself off, and finally THAT there will create the true twinkling effect that's soft and enchanting. Finding this type of twinkle light is likened to seeing a ivory-billed woodpecker in the swamps of Arkansas. Probably a zillion websites later at 4am in the morning did I found what would be the next best thing, a warm incandescent 100 bulb string of lights with "multifunction". This multifunction box gives me 16 different settings!! I can now create my own twinkles any which way I want! I plan to layer the strings and mess around with the functions till it looks just right. People these incandescent lights are becoming obsolete, incandescent lights that you can control for desired ambience are one in a thousand, now tack on that this is a local company here in Centennial and it's a trifecta! I've dealt with Novelty on several products for my business in Southern California. The customer service is beyond 5 stars. All of my business has been done with Michael, the internet sales manager. I've forgot pieces of my order before, called them immediately, and he's been able to update my orders instantly. Most recently some product of mine was having some aspects of it fail. Instead of running from the issue and not offering any solution Michael stepped up and took care of my problem with ease. I've bought about 20 strands of LED lighting from Novelty Lights, and have been happy with the quality of all of it. The LEDs are bright, the warm white is indeed warm, and the wire is good quality. Out of the 20 strands and after two years of use, I've had one section on one strand go out. Novelty Lights replaced the failed strand without questions or delay. Overall, I think that outdoor lighting will have a fairly short lifespan, with exposure to sun and rain and everything else, but these are better than any other lights I've tried. read more

Lights are hit and miss...Several strands have now died or are half-lit so had to throw them away-A lot of $$ for these to last 2 years or less -The C9 blinker red bulbs I installed had dry rotted after this time period (2yr) and broke often trying to replace them-I would then have to try and unscrew the "remains" in their sockets which took a lot of time for the 11 bulbs(out of 80) that broke -I would not recommend the lights here ... read more

I own a lighting installation company and deal with several vendors for lighting. I've been dealing with Novelty for several years now. They have a great variety of products and great pricing. What motivated me to write a review was I had an issue with LED lights burning out early and they were very responsive at sending two rounds of replacements. I also ordered bulbs but they sent the wrong ones. They had me keep the wrong ones and promptly sent out the correct ones. Michael is always available by phone and very helpful.
