Looking for lighting for your remodeling project, look no further. We are in the middle of a decent sized remodel (couple bathrooms, hallway and living room update). And I was able to find the tile, the paint, the wood, bathroom fixtures, sinks...and even the toilet! But got stuck on lighting. A couple girlfriends have used Kristen for lighting and this is why you need to: - she is very proficient - will come to your house and evaluate the project - will send some recommendations - you then meet in her tastefully appointed studio filled with all sorts of design books where you can hone in on the fixtures you want to select. - I also appreciate that she presents reasonable options and doesn't start at an unreasonable price point she does a great job of anticipating not just your taste but your budget Oh, and her prices are INSANE. A chandelier that she charges $961 for is listed at a "discount" on a website for $1280. Seems like a win-win to me. read more

I have to give this place 5 stars now. They moved into a better location that has a smaller showroom floor, however it now looks like a reputable store. It is no longer over crowded and now things seems to flow and the interior of the store looks brand new. Randy, which I believe is the head salesperson, is nice and knowledgable. I know for a fact that over the last 4 years he has continued to help me and this business grow. Tom and Jen the owners will be there for anything. I never had any serious issues but they were always interested in how I was and what was going on. Friendly, knowledgable, and a great atmosphere. I wrote a raving review when I purchased a bunch of lighting (thousands of $s) from Tom and Jennifer. They came to my house and assessed my needs and recommended products that fit into my budget. They even let me being glass globes home to see how they went with my decor. They recommended an electrician to intall the new lighting in the bedroom, kitchen, diningroom, and foyer . I was very happy..UNTIL it became apparent that the light was insufficient. I invited jennifer and Tom to dinner, and they agreed that I didn't have nearly enough light in any of the areas where their lighting was installed. Jennifer was anxious to sell me even more lightinng, but would not allow me to return the the items I had already paid for, nor would she offer any credit on the new lighting she wanted me to buy. Her best advice was for me to try to sell some of the lights on Ebay. I spent a bundle and am worse off than when I began redecorating. with Tom and Jennifer. When I didn't spend more money, Jennifer stopped accepting or returning my calls. My advice, even though they insist on prepayment, don't pay your bill in full until you comletely satisfied. Better yet, SHOP ELSEWHERE no matter how great their selection is!... read more

This place has some of the worst customer service I have seen in awhile. They are great when selling you lights but I had a defective part and they were so annoyed that I came back for replacement. They all of a sudden didn't have time for me. They reluctantly said they would order a new part. Two weeks go by with no communication so I visited the store. Allegedly the order had been placed but not shipped. Following this called the original manufacturer and they said it could be shipped out immediately. Hard to be lied to but I guess they already had the sale and not interested in any future business. read more

Jennifer and her staff were very helpful at creating the atmosphere we wanted in our pilates studio. They helped us to find beautiful ceiling fans and a gorgeous chandelier at very affordable prices. I would highly recommend this store for anyone who wants lighting fixtures that are beautiful, unusual, and functional. Their reasonable prices and knowledgeable, helpful staff are pluses. We did a complete remodel of a house in Georgetown Colorado that has been in the family for 70 years. We were trying to update the creature comforts without losing the feeling of an old time friend. We went to Image Complete to discuss some needs for art lighting, as well as standard room lighting. While many of their light fixtures are "modern," they were very helpful in selecting fixtures that were compatible with maintaining an an "older" feel to go with the house decor. We ended up picking some very contemporary fixtures that had a wonderful feel of the past. Their extensive knowledge of possible fixtures made our selection process much less daunting and stressful. In addition to being knowledgeable about lighting, everyone there was very customer oriented. Tom was very helpful in designing the art lighting plan and kitchen options. He reviewed the architect's preliminary design and made suggestions and changes which improved flexibility and functionality. His analysis of track vs adjustable vs multi-point helped us pick fixtures that worked well in various locations where other options would not. He was also very helpful in reviewing the lighting plan to ensure we had the right number and location of switches to accommodate traffic patterns in different rooms. He also discussed the various types of bulbs - traditional, halogen, LCD - and how their light characteristics affected art works. He discussed placement of fixtures and focal type (flood vs spot) of bulbs. Finally, he provided dimmer switch requirements for the various fixtures we had selected. An additional benefit was the ability to see the various fixtures in person - not just a picture on the screen or in a book. We found their prices to be very competitive with other retail lighting stores and internet sources. In the store each fixture shows its list price and their discounted price. Unfortunately, the first electrician working on our job had some problems and had to be replaced. After he was replaced several issues came up regarding broken bulbs, missing fixtures and other missing hardware. When I went back to get some of the missing/broken items, the staff and owners were VERY helpful. They provided some bulbs and hardware at no cost and were very accommodating on all the other items. read more

Disrepectful! I am all for supporting local business. Additionally, when we were looking for some new pendant lighting over our bar during a remodel, we purchased from Image Complete and had a great experience. Adam, our salesperson was very helpful and knowledgeable, and Tom, the owner, was also great to deal with. So, I figured I'd found the place to go in Denver for our lighting needs from now on. Fast forward to today, and I had such a bad experience with Jennifer, the owner's wife, that we are likely never to frequent this establishment again, which is a shame, since our first experience was so great. I bought a Minka-Aire fan from another company, and when I went to install, found I needed a sloped ceiling adapter kit. Looking on Mink-Aire's website, I saw that Image Complete was one of their dealers. So I called them up to see if they had the adapter kit in stock. However, while talking to Jennifer, she asked if we had purchased the fan from them. I told her no, that we had ordered it elsewhere. All of a sudden, she simply responded, "well, you should just call them for help." and HUNG UP ON ME. That's right, she hung up on me because I didn't buy my original fan from her. How dare I! I sat their stunned for a moment. Then, I called back. She obviously had caller ID because she apologized when I called back. (If she had caller ID and was truly sorry, she should have called me back first.) However, her apology was honestly pretty hollow, as she then made excuse after excuse about how it somehow pushed a button that I had purchased it online, that she and her husband had worked so hard to build this business, etc, etc. That's all well and good, but, to be honest, an unqualified, sincere apology and promise never to do something like that again, and maybe even an offer to give us a decent discount on the adapter we were wanting (a ~$17 part...well $17 online; she wanted $35 for it), would have been nice. Instead, she just kept up with making excuses, and pressuring me that I should have gone to their website to buy the original fan (which, btw, doesn't have the fan I purchased even shown; I checked), and emailed them so they could sell it to me. Nevermind that their price on a similar fan (same style, different color) is nowhere near as good as the one I got the fan for. And nevermind that that is way less convenient when I already knew what I wanted and was ready to purchase. And nevermind that it was none of her business where I bought the fan in the first place. I wasn't calling to buy a fan. I was calling to buy an adapter. I could have already had the fan and moved. It simply doesn't matter. Either she has the part I need or doesn't, or it's not worth her time to make the sale for such a small thing as an adapter (in which case maybe it's not worth my time to visit their establishment downtown when I need lighting or a fan!) Again, I'm all for supporting local business. And when I need help finding some specialty lighting this WAS the place I would go, primarily for being able to see the product, and the great customer service. However, if this is how the OWNERS treat their customers, both existing and potential, just because someone purchased from a competing dealer, then maybe they should go out of business. I have spent ~$1000 at this store in the past, and was prepared to spend probably as much or more again on some upcoming lighting projects in our house. Now? Nope. I'll find what I want elsewhere, where they are willing to earn my business and treat me with respect. I'll give two stars because of my great experience with others on their staff. But if my only experience had been today, with Jennifer, it would be one star. read more

My husband and I own a loft in downtown Denver. We bought a lighting system from Image Complete about 15 years ago. It was a quality system, and when we had a problem with a transformer and a part, we went back to Image Complete. They connected our electrician to the representative for the lighting system to find the right part. Due to some unforseen issues with our electrician and the manufacturer we ended up going back and forth a few times. Each time Image Complete was knowledgable and very helpful, they even helped with a sense of humor when they realized how frustrated I was with the process. I think when you buy things online or at a big box store what you give up is the customer service and ability to work through problems when they arise.
