We had an old sofa that we needed removed. I contacted Nova Junk via their website and received a very quick response. Requested a photo of the sofa be emailed, which I did, and had a very reasonable quote and pick up scheduled in no time. On the day of the pick up, we were called about 20 minutes out, and earlier than our pick up window, which was really nice. The two gentlemen who took care of the pick up (I wished I had their names) were excellent and really nice. Carefully removed the sofa from the house to truck and all was said and done in about 10 minutes. Woman who answered their phone at the Woodbridge office was very friendly and very helpful. She told me that they were really busy and that they would have to schedule me later in the week. It certainly was not an emergency to get stuff removed from my home. She told me that they would call about 30 minutes before arrival on the scheduled day. She gave me a 2 hour window for their crew to arrive. On the scheduled day I received a call and was told it would be about 30 minutes. They actually arrived about 15 minutes before the scheduled time. There were 3 men to remove a freezer, a 55 gallon fish tank, a metal cabinet, and an old television. They were very polite and careful with the removal of the items. It is truly nice to encounter people who are conscientious in their work. I will eventually have some more items that will need removal. I will absolutely use them again in the very near future. I did look at online reviews when trying to find a junk hauler. I used NOVA Junk in August 2016. I had initially called College Hunks Hauling Junk, but when they arrived, their estimate was more than twice what they quoted over the phone, so I turned them away. At NOVA Junk, I talked to both Omar and Norman. I felt both gentlemen were very honest in their estimate and forthright in what I could expect. And they honor Yelp, Military Discount and Angie's List. NOVA Junk was reasonable in their estimate so I scheduled a date. And I was so very glad I used NOVA Junk. I was extremely pleased with their service. I have split-foyer, 4-bedroom house, plus an upper deck, a storage room and an outside shed that I had to clean out. And I had 30-years of things to donate and get rid of. Upon arrival NOVA Junk was organized, they got started right away, walked through the house with me and asked for clarification where needed (what was junk what was going to charity) One area I was afraid they would balk at was the outside shed which was full of very yucky crickets and spiders. College Hunks guys didn't even want to look in the shed (I don't blame them because I was afraid to go in there). NOVA Junk did not hesitate to go in the shed. Not only did they get it completely empty, they cleaned the spiders and crickets out of my shed. And they blew off the leaves from my deck and swept up where leaves and other debris had tracked inside the house. I was so very very very impressed with NOVA Junk. The whole crew worked hard, quickly, and in less than a couple of hours they had completely filled two trucks worth of things to donate and junk. The 4 men who came and loaded our stuff were cordial. However, when they got there, they said they could not take all our stuff. I spent over 20 minutes on the phone giving a complete list of what we had. They had to leave so much behind, so it was just overwhelming. They were expensive. They filled the truck the best they could but I was told at initial conversation that our stuff would take approximately 3/4 of the truck. That was not the case. They 'filled it' and again, left so much behind. We had no choice but to go ahead with them as we were down to the wire to move which I explained to the lady on the phone when we scheduled the appointment. Very disappointing to say the least.
