Tried this for the first time today and definitely think this is the best dining option at Zoo Miami because 1) it's inside with AC and 2) it has healthier options compared to the other places. I had the Southwestern Chicken Flatbread Sandwich which was pretty tasty and filling. It had veggies, cheese, grilled chicken, and chipotle mayo. The neighboring table had some sort of kale salad that looked really good. Unfortunately, they were out of smoothies so I got a regular fountain drink. Came here with my daughter. This is by far the best restaurant at the zoo!!! Extremely flavorful dishes and at large plate sizes you won't leave hungry. The food was plentiful. The quality was perfect. My 18months old loved it as well. It's conveniently located right off the entrance. Before the Florida Everglades exhibits. Wish I had pictures of the food we purchased. It was soooo good we gobbled it down just before the thought crossed my mind. That's how good it smelled looked and tasted lol. No worries though we are Zoo yearly Members so I will be back next Saturday for more. I have tried the other restaurants but chose this one to make a review on because it's the only one I would likely go to if it was located outside the Zoo property. Just what the zoo needed. A restaurant! Yes! Even though it's more like a lunch place I'm so happy they opened it. It's a wide big area although I have a feeling this place will be packed soon enough and they will need to make outside seating. It's a make your own sandwich, pizza or salad place. The options for the salad and sandwich are great. They have an array of veggies and toppings to choose from for any of your options. The only meat they don't offer is pepperoni. But the options are different. My salad was amazing because of the options offered. The best part about this place? They have wine and craft beers. Good beer selection. I was happy with that. I will definitely be back when going to the zoo. It will be my first stop to get a beer or my last! read more

If you want some decently priced zoo food, come check out Nourish 305 by the front entrance of the zoo. It has a Chipotle style process. First you pick what you want: flatbread pizza, flatbread sandwich or a salad. Then you pick the "protein" and then follow up with the toppings. My brother and I got two flatbread pizzas and one kids cheese pizza. I got the mojo pork which was okay but the pork was a bit too fatty for my taste. My brother's jerk chicken was much better and the chicken was not dry. The servers and cashier were very polite and patient to customers. When I went to the cashier to ask what one of the soda selections was it ended up being lemon lime Gatorade-type drink which was interesting for the zoo. If I ever go back to the zoo, I'd probably come back here and get the jerk chicken flatbread pizza. read more

Nourish 305 is located on the left as you walk into Miami Zoo. New facility that has been opened for a few month now. Smells new still. It is a recommended spot to cool off either going in or leaving the park. They have seatings outside or inside with AC (much needed) Their menu: - Flat bread sandwiches - Crafted Salads (lots of choices see pictures) - Flat bread pizza - Kids cheese pizza Types of ingredients: - Roasted veggie - Jerk chicken - Mojo pork - Cilantro lime shrimp And extra toppings or proteins for $1 or $2 consecutively Drinks: - Fountain drinks - Souvenir fountain drink - Beer and Wine They have music that gives customers a pleasant dinning experience and friendly staff. Food is prepared in front of you similar to Subway, my ceviche and pieology. By the way if you are a beer aficionado, they have five different types. Both of the ones I tried were good. Definitely not your typical zoo/attraction place. Nourish 305 is located just before the entrance turnstiles to the zoo. So you don't really need to be going in the zoo to dine there. Although, I personally wouldn't go just to eat without going to the zoo. My husband and I each had a flatbread. It's like Subway, where you choose what you want on it and they pop it in the oven for a minute or two. You are limited to I think 3 toppings in addition to your protein, sauce & cheese. Each additional topping costs a bit more. The girl that was taking care of us was friendly and patient. The food was surprisingly really good and the portions were fair for the price. The best part? Pretty good for a café in the Zoo! Staff were courteous, options were reasonable, and they were able to help me get my ravenous family fed quickly, before a mutiny broke out! I had a tequila lime shrimp wrap. It was tasty, not your typical mayo-loaded, "where did the shrimp go?" sort of endeavor. It hit the spot and was definitely a good choice. I paired this with a "Zoo Brew" from the MIA Company, which was also a solid choice. The other items my family ordered were also pretty good - cheese flatbread pizzas for the kids, and a chicken breast + salad for my wife. Everyone enjoyed their items and thought they were above average for a theme park style establishment. One last thought - big shout out to the staff here. They were friendly, responsive, and helpful. They were nice to my kids, and I really appreciated that. All this on the weekend before Christmas, when many people are taking time off. This place just opened. Don't remember what used to be here before. But its one of the first cafes you pass as you enter. Billed as a healthier alternative. That is debatable. Its still flatbread pizzas and salads mostly. A few sandwiches too. The pizzas are made to order with whatever toppings you want and throw into cute little individual pizza ovens to cook. A newer part of the zoo remodel, located just near the entrance of Zoo Miami. Came here this past Sunday because the weather was cool and that is the only time I visit the zoo, haha. Love the décor and the murals inside. Love the concept. It's simple and fresh. You can choose between a flatbread pizza, a salad or a fresh made sandwich. Glad they offer these options over the usual hamburger, fries, chicken tenders kind of food that is normally at the eating spots. Everything is made to order and you get to choose the ingredients. I went with the flatbread pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. They offer marinara sauce or alfredo sauce, mozzarella or cheddar cheese and as many or little toppings as you want including proteins such as chicken or shrimp. They have little pizza ovens that they pop them into and within five minutes they are ready to eat! You can also get beer or wine as well as soda's here. I went with a water to carry along and a MIA Miami Weiss local craft beer. The flatbread pizza was good and filling and they did not skimp on the toppings. Beer was cold and refreshing. The place is very spacious and clean and staff was very friendly as well. It is not cheap though, but I would definitely eat here again when I visit the zoo again. A great addition to the zoo. They don't have a huge menu but the food is good and the price is decent for an attraction venue. I had the Tequila Lime Shrimp flatbread sandwich. It had plenty of small white shrimp then you choose your sauce, cheese and up to 3 toppings included. Each additional topping is a dollar. Then it's heated up in the oven for a few minutes. The sandwich was very good. Better than expected. The lady that prepared my sandwich was nice. And the restaurant has a/c. Can't complain about anything. read more

The absolutely best pizza I've had in many years. I had the flatbread pizza white sauce with pepperoni and bacon. I'm attempting to recreate it as I speak with store-bought ingredients but I can already tell it's not going to taste as good as Nourish's. Service was very quick and the kind woman who served us was very proficient and fast. The price was steep because we added drinks and such. Total for a family of 3 came to about $50. Next time we'll be more careful with what we add (extra toppings and drinks) but overall it was a good experience. The only downside is that I wish the AC worked better in such a small space. I got blasted (nicely, I might add) while paying for my meal at the cashier area but the minute I sat down (at the closest table to the cashier) I felt no air at all and sweated the whole time. Horrible food, the pizza was first burnt and then they had to recook it and it was then they undercooked it. People take your order thinking it's theirs, very unorganized. The cheese was cold and fell of the bread. Would not recommend going here. read more
