We stopped at this location on our road trip to New Hampshire. Gas was comparable to other stations but we were there for the snacks. I love the chips, desserts, drinks, coffee, etc. it's definitely a one stop shop convenience store. The place was large, clean, and organized.

The guys there just let the pump do the job itself and they go inside of the room. Most of the time they do not come back quickly even your tank is full. And their facility is not safe at all. My car gas tank was once completely overflowing there with the gasoline all over the ground during the FULL-SERVICE because their pump can not stop automaticly when the car gas tank is full and during that happened, the guys there were all inside of the room. They not only do not want to take any reposibility but also treat their customers very rudely! Within five minutes, Bob Gudgeon and his wife April, owners of Florence Towing & Auto Repair, arrived on the scene and towed my car to our local Hyundai. They graciously took me along in the cab of their tow truck.....a courtesy that Triple A would not allow, which made it so much easier for me to make after service hours arrangements for the repairs my car will need. They not only waited for me to finish up this paperwork but also drove me home from the Hyundai dealership. Their care and the help they provided was extraordinary. How wonderful to know that they are a part of our business community.

I went through the whole process with my Stop&Shop and debit card, got to the end and then the pump just cancelled the transaction, for no reason I could tell, so I had to start over. Then I had to deal with the jerk inside the station. He got really mad that I came back in to ask for money back because I had debited my card for more gas than I actually bought. This was all new to me, and he was really nasty about it. Anyway, I urge people to go somewhere else. This is a poorly run gas-station with angry, hostile people behind the counter.

The man I met told me he had been working there for his family over 20 years, and it's hard to find a better local resource than this for the price of a small tip and your gas. The station was very accessible and neatly kept right before the heart of downtown Amherst. You can pull in from either direction--just know what side of your car has the gas cap! All in all, I would tell international travelers, locals, students, and people of all ages and walks of life to go here. I'm certain they'll make you feel welcome and answer your questions, even in the bitter cold. Again, for full service gas, the price is low so mind to tip your attendant, 10% is a good amount and fits the current era we live in. The days where a single dollar was a good gas station tip were at least 30 years ago. :)
