I went through the whole process with my Stop&Shop and debit card, got to the end and then the pump just cancelled the transaction, for no reason I could tell, so I had to start over. Then I had to deal with the jerk inside the station. He got really mad that I came back in to ask for money back because I had debited my card for more gas than I actually bought. This was all new to me, and he was really nasty about it. Anyway, I urge people to go somewhere else. This is a poorly run gas-station with angry, hostile people behind the counter.

The first store opened in the 1950s, in Bellingham, Massachuseets. There are currently 575 stores located in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. I've enjoyed them in RI, FL, and now CT. We stopped at this location on our road trip to New Hampshire. Gas was comparable to other stations but we were there for the snacks. I love the chips, desserts, drinks, coffee, etc. it's definitely a one stop shop convenience store. The place was large, clean, and organized.

Came over and gave us menus and did not introduce herself or said hi how are you. Did not check in on us. She came over and asked if we were ready I asked for a couple more minutes and she came back in less than a minute and asked if we were ready. I felt rushed. Another customer came in and seemed like he was a regular. She was all nice to him. She even sat down next to him and had a conversation. There was another woman there too and she was rude too. I guess if you are not a regular don't expect good service. Was not a good experience.

The man I met told me he had been working there for his family over 20 years, and it's hard to find a better local resource than this for the price of a small tip and your gas. The station was very accessible and neatly kept right before the heart of downtown Amherst. You can pull in from either direction--just know what side of your car has the gas cap! All in all, I would tell international travelers, locals, students, and people of all ages and walks of life to go here. I'm certain they'll make you feel welcome and answer your questions, even in the bitter cold. Again, for full service gas, the price is low so mind to tip your attendant, 10% is a good amount and fits the current era we live in. The days where a single dollar was a good gas station tip were at least 30 years ago. :)

As soon as I did, the tire felt like it went flat but it actually snapped. We thought the axle or joints were busted but without being able to see underneath it's hard to tell. We had *just* had it inspected and the alignment corrected in NH the week prior to this because we registered the vehicle there as new residents, so we were surprised something this bad would happen so soon afterward. Our roadside assistance had dispatched another company that no-showed on us after 2 hours of waiting. Eventually a cop came behind us and asked about our issue and then said he would get us a tow in 10 minutes. Ernie's Towing was our knight in shining armor. He showed up in 10-15 minutes and took us to Firestone, where they learned it was just a couple of sheered-off studs. The driver was friendly and we appreciate his help! On to better car days!
