Visited NIB Tyson's Corner while I was in town and it was a great experience. I enjoyed their deep tissue massage (perfect amount of high pressure!) and a Rose Manicure and Pedicure in their amazingly serene, meticulously designed (and clean) day spa. I also opted for the extra foot massage. The only thing missing for me was a massage chair for the pedicures, but I understand their aesthetic, which would have been thrown by those big, bulky chairs! read more

I discovered NIB Studio online and was enchanted with the online presence. All of my mani experiences have been at places that have just the basics, clean and plain. Based on the online pictures, it is evident that the owner cares to make a beautiful environment, from the pendant lights to the cream-colored pedi chairs to the carefully curated shelves of books and wares for sale. I then found out that a friend of mine really likes the Falls Church location. Tyson's was a little closer to me, so so chose to go there for a mani. As soon as I walked in, I loved the sleek bright atmosphere that still radiated warmth. To be honest my only mani experiences have not been the best with the perfunctory service and having some discomfort with cuticle trimming. Here, it felt like being pampered. I have now been there a total of three times with different staff taking care of me, and it has been a treat every time. I knew I was coming back from the first visit. The standard manicure includes a thorough hand massage with heated lotion and a hot rose quartz stone. I recently had a pedi, and it was just as lovely. During my three total visits, I have been accompanied by different friends, and they all were very pleased with the service. I can't wait to come back !! An absolutely lovely, relaxing, clean, spectacular experience. I came in for one of their deluxe spa pedicures and had such an amazing time. The salon is beautiful, sleek, and very clean. All of their tools were hygienic and sanitized properly. My nail tech was so sweet and did my nails exactly how I asked. The massage was fantastic- not your average nail salon massage at all, it was a true leg and foot massage. Organic gel nail polish is a very nice plus as well. Staff that did nails and provided massage for my mom- Great! We were off to a good start. 2/3 of us were done getting our nails done, waiting for mom to complete her massage. Receptionist asked us to pay and I informed her that we would pay altogether when mom comes out and decide what credit card to provide. Receptionist asked 2 more times for us to pay as we waited...as if we wouldn't? Tacky and uncalled for. Then as we were waiting, receptionist asked us to lower our voices. I have gone to dozens of spas around the Country and never treated so poorly. When I confronted the receptionist about her behavior, she denied being rude and pretty much told me how I should feel. This place really does have nothing...facade of luxury. They don't know how to treat people well. Take your business elsewhere. I feel bad for the talent at this place considering how the face of the company is behaving. read more

Don't go there, it's a waste of money. The girl who did my nails had no idea what she was doing and she hurt me like 10 times plus she had a really bad attitude. It is very expensive for the service you receive and the product they offer, my nails began to fade after a few hours of leaving the salon, their products are of poor quality. read more

Great and luxurious place and excellent service! I knocked down one star because my second time coming here I called to make an appt. The lady receptionist on the phone was rude and dismissive, almost unwilling to help. She said I had to make a profile before I called her with the appt. I said well I came here before...and perhaps I made a mistake and I made a profile under my friend since we came together...but shouldn't you make it on the phone with me? She huffed and puffed and Stated since I didn't want to make it online she will do it (unwillingly btw). Why couldn't she have done that in the first place? I didn't have time to go online hence the call! And she seemed in a hurry, yet asked me to repeat myself like 10x for my info. Now I know everyone can have bad days...but not a good impression if you're short on the phone. Otherwise the pedicures are to die for! My feet felt silky smooth for weeks. read more

Overdue review - I was excited to try this place after seeing good reviews but it seems they had some relatively new technicians because mine did not seem as experienced. I asked for a french manicure and had to ask several times to straighten out the edges, clean them up, or add another coat. While I did appreciate her patience and attempts to make it right, I ended up with some thicker uneven tips and two of my nail ends completely broke off within a few days. Looking at it later, the lines were not as clean as I would have expected for the price I paid and my friend also pointed out that it looked like I had done them myself. I regret not speaking up about this more but I am usually a peaceful person who tries to give the benefit of the doubt to smaller businesses. When paying, I was listed all the fees and they piled up to more than $80 for what seemed like a French gel mani I could've done myself at home with a lot of patience. I also asked if she could do a small cherry on one nail and the nail tech waited until she finished the design to tell me it was her first time and I could definitely tell so it was a facepalm moment. I do appreciate that they use non-toxic polishes but their color ranges seemed limited and the way they trimmed and cleaned up the nails before painting seemed very old school which was surprising given this place is seen as a luxury nail salon. I was offered a free 10 minute massage which was a bit awkward as the chair was out in the open and I had to sit in a kneeling position while everyone was getting their mani/pedis but I appreciated the free massage. read more

My mother and I went to the Nothing in between spa , and had a first class experience, from the moment we walked through the door! The receptionist greeted up and was very friendly. She showed us around the salon and invited us to choose our nail colors. The technicians were very friendly and professional. They were very complimentary on our nail choices. We were not rushed in our process of having a manicure/ pedicure. The owner came and introduced herself and was very friendly. The spa itself was beautiful and sparking clean. He is an amazing masseuse who incorporates his knowledge of Korean medicine to solve all your ailments. He is thorough, focuses on areas of concern, and does this thing with your toes to see where other sources or pain are. Never will I ever go to another spa again. This place is the best!! read more

Amazing nails every single time! I recently tried a massage and had a fantastic massage therapist! Always the best service.

I went for a gel polish removal and manicure. The gel polish removal was very rough and impatient. My manicurist filed down my polish very roughly until she reached my nail, and it quite hurts. She also seemed quite impatient in the soaking process and didn't let the acetone sit long enough, because she couldn't quite easily scrape the gel off, so she went ahead and started filing it down again, which ended up really thinning my nails. I wouldn't go again especially if I have gel polish that needs removal. read more
