Poor customer service from the store on Route 59 in Naperville, IL. Didn't want to accommodate for a birthday cake because they 'couldn't' do anything after 7 PM. I called and told them I was enroute and would be there right at 7PM and if I could pay over the phone, Zelle an employee or anything. Nope, the manager ended the call with 'Have a Nice Life'. I made it to the store literally at 7 PM and the young lady sweeping the floor turned her back on me and didn't even acknowledge I was there. Wonderful cakes and some cute products that they sell as well. Although, when I was getting my cake, I order it and the cashier girl told me and my mom to wait for a bit and kept on serving other customers. She was making us and other customers she was serving to wait for almost ten minutes when she was serving new customers coming in. It's not that hard to tell the new costumers to say, "let me finish their order." But nope, she just kept on making me and everyone else wait. It was very inappropriate because when I asked her about our order, she said "in a acouple minutes" but then proceeds to go in the back and just gave me the box with the cake in it. This bakery deserves 10 stars if it was based only on the Bundt cakes. But if you ever came to pick up these cakes in the afternoon or evening times, the staff lacks basic customer service. It's almost like you inconvenienced them coming in. I mean, is it too much to ask for a welcome when you come in or thank you after the purchase. I felt bad asking the young lady can I have my large order placed in two separate bags. I understand that long days. As a teacher, I have to put on a happy face even when life at home may not be so great. Whether I had a long day or hard day students and parents expect a good attitude. I ordered a cake from here a while back for my daughter's birthday. When I go to pick up the cake, they couldn't find my order. I had to pull up the confirmation email on my phone before they would give me the cake. I should have checked to make sure the cake was the correct flavor because they gave me white chocolate raspberry instead of the strawberries and cream that I ordered. As you enter, you are greeted by a smiling individual who is knowledgeable and willing to help you decide which cake you should get based on your taste. The store is very well kept and the decor is perfect. Let's talk about the cake... well I've tried pretty much all of their flavors and each is just as tasteful and satisfying depending on the mood and craving. Not too sweet at all but just right. The cake itself was pretty good--a 3.5 out of 5. Would prefer organic ingredients instead of natural ingredients because "natural" is meaningless Everything is "natural," including toxic chemicals. Flowers and chemicals are both part of "Nature." But my bigger criticism with NBC is not their cakes but their marketing. I received targeted ads from NBC the day after I had spoken about it to my friend in my car. NBC apparently used the data collected from me speaking in my car in the vicinity of my cell phone and deanonymized me with algorithms to promote their ads to me on social media. This is an invasion of my privacy and, therefore, I will not be recommending NBC to anyone and I give them 0 out of 5 stars. They have lots of knick knacks and cards to help you give a truly memorable gift along with the luscious Bundt cakes. The Bundt cakes come in several different sizes and flavors. Each Bundt cake includes cream cheese frosting that they can apply 2 different ways depending on how much you like. I grabbed a stack of 3 smaller ones as a gift. I chose a sunflower and orange bow and they wrapped them nicely. They have samples, people, samples! I sampled the red velvet and lemon raspberry. The cake is so so moist and the cream cheese frosting has my undying love. On top of all this, the service is fantastic. The gentleman that was behind the counter when I entered, came around and gave me a rundown of all their offerings and was just so pleasant. This place is mediocre at best. I'm a carrot cake junkie and I can tell, this stuff is not legit. Carrot cake or any spiced cake for that matter should be fresh and have some raisins or nuts in it. We decided to have a gender reveal party, and Nothing Bundt Cake has some amazing options for a baby gender reveal cake. We went to the doctor in the morning to have the ultrasound, and took the gender results to Nothing Bundt Cake. We ordered two cakes...one chocolate and one lemon. The staff was amazing, super excited to help us and to be part of our special day. They hid baby rattles in the middle of the cakes that say "It's a boy" or "It's a girl". When it came time to cut the cakes everyone was impressed by how amazing the cakes were decorated. Our daughter- in- law called in an order in for an anniversary cake under our name. I drove over to pick up the cake and they could not find the order. I checked to make sure we had the correct details and returned to get the cake. Found out they put the order in under the wrong name. When they finally produced the cake it said" Happy Birthday" and had the wrong name on it. Even though they acknowledged we ordered a "Happy Anniversary" cake and gave them the correct name, they seemed "put out" when we insisted they give us the anniversary cake we ordered and not the birthday cake. No one said "I'm sorry", no "we'll do better next time", no "here's a discount coupon for a future purchase". A pretty good product overshadowed by Terrible Customer Service.
