First time ever trying Nothing Bundt Cakes and I definitely approve. I signed up for their app and they gave me a free bundtlet for my birthday so of course I had to try it. They had lots of flavors to choose from but since I'm a chocolate lover I went with their chocolate chocolate chip flavor. The one I chose was very good. It comes with a ton of icing on top and it goes well with the cake. I personally would have wanted a few more chocolate chips in the cake but that could be me being a fatty. Haha!! The icing is also very sweet so I feel like you definitely need an equal forkful of both cake and icing in a bite. Saturday was my babe's birthday, and nothing says celebration like a nice festive cake. Nothing Bundt Cakes is exactly what it calls itself. The original location was off Poplar, tucked in between Olive Garden and Starbucks. They've moved to White Station and are in a much larger and easier to access shopping center with more space. Upon entry, the space is open and inviting. The store is clean and well organized with gentle lighting and colors throughout each area. The products available are pretty straightforward, and they also provide other items for purchase such as cards, candles, mugs, and other party accessories. The display case and menu are the first things you see. There are several flavors to choose from. You can choose a larger bundt cake, individual bundt cakes, or smaller ones called bundtinis. You can buy each cake individually. However, the bundtinis are only available by the dozen. There is a binder at the desk, and in the main area, of suggested decorations for your cake. While each cake holds the same bundt style, you can choose toppers for events such as graduations, holidays, celebrations, gender reveals, and even sports activities. The employees are more than willing to help out whether you've planned in advance or need something quick. There is also the option for online ordering. I got a red velvet cake for his birthday with a birthday topper. I also decided we'd try the Blueberry Bliss and Oreo Cookies and Cream since they seemed fairly new. The red velvet, as always, is really good and the present shaped candle was a nice touch. The cake is moist and the frosting suits it without being too sweet. The Blueberry Bliss and Oreo were ok. While they aren't a new favorite, it's good to step out of the box from time to time. (By the way, Key Lime came out today! I'll definitely have to try that one.) Pricing, as always, depends on what you plan for. I consider Nothing Bundt Cakes to be reasonable. I feel that the quality is there for both the palate and the eyes. The decorations are cute and eye catching, and these make for a nice gathering, and the individual cakes for a "just because" gift or even a treat for yourself. I'll give this one a rating: soft and sweet. Nothing Bundt Cakes has a friendly and welcoming air to it. There are several bakeries throughout the city, and each one has a personality of its own, from its designs to its employees. I had an awesome time picking cakes and enjoying looking at the other fun items that can be purchased with your order. The storefront is super cute. They have cups, motivational cards, kitchenware, and much more! I love that you can purchase anywhere from a large cake to a dozen mini cakes. They are all delicious no matter what size you get them lol! They are so moist and flavorful. I love that they are not pricey, but you get such great quality and quantity. Ordering is super easy being that they have cakes that are already freshly made. I ordered the confetti and red velvet cake 2 teir cake for my daughter's birthday and she loved it. Big caution for anyone with a physical difference! New location parking is less spacious and much more difficult at the end turn of a congested lot. There is a hill and stairs or a ramp option farther away. The red velvet with chocolate chips and cream cheese frosting is our favorite flavor. There is a gluten-free chocolate chip option. ALL baked goods have milk and butter thus zero dairy-free options. The prices have increased. It's $26 for a dozen bundtinis and you must buy in dozen counts. For example, no 18-count available. Honestly after trying the moist cupcakes at a competitor with a dairy-free option along with the now farther drive, difficult access, and costly prices, this loyal reward-card customer after YEARS will now be choosing elsewhere for my family's special cake treats. This place is great for Bundts but terrible for service. No masks on the excessive amount of folks behind the counter, it's still a global pandemic. We had lunch in downtown Memphis. Although is was good we decided to look for another establishment for dessert. After yelping, "best desserts in Memphis ", we found Nothing Bundt Cakes.
