I worked in an Italian bakery in NYC for a few years and have never tasted an icing that was THIS sweet. On top of everything else, the cake was supposed to be lemon flavored. I'm assuming they "baste" their cakes either a lemon flavoring because the only area that had any lemon flavoring was the immediately part touching the buttercream that I threw away after the first bite.
