ordered an assortment of mini Bundtlets as a Mother's Day gift for my mom, who absolutely loves Nothing Bundt Cakes. I've shopped at this Concord location many times before and never had an issue -- until now. This time, the experience was frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was told it had been lost. I had to pull up my confirmation on my phone to prove I had paid. A staff member named Amber apologized and asked me to give her 10 minutes to remake the order. After waiting, I was given the wrong order. I had specifically requested hearts and butterflies for decoration, but only hearts were included -- and even those looked like they were just tossed onto the mini Bundtlets without any care. I also requested a Mother's Day flag and was given a Happy Birthday flag instead. The cakes were flipped over in the box and looked messy, rushed, and completely unprofessional. Amber did give me a free small red velvet Bundt cake, which I appreciated, but it didn't make up for the lost order, the delay, or the fact that my Mother's Day gift was not prepared correctly. Even more concerning, I found out multiple other customers had their orders lost that day too -- which speaks to a much bigger issue with organization and management. This wasn't the first issue, either. On a previous occasion, I placed an order for an 11 AM pickup, only to find out the store didn't open until 12 PM. I didn't arrive until 2 PM, and there was still confusion. I went ahead and tried to fix the mess that was made in the box myself, just to make it look somewhat presentable. In the end, I took pictures of the final result so I could include them with this review. I am truly horrified at how it turned out, especially considering it was meant to be a heartfelt gift for my mom. While I've had many positive experiences here before, this one was chaotic, unprofessional, and disappointing. How could you not give this cake 5 stars. Imagine 6 or more fresh, soft cinnamon rolls. They have so many options it was hard to pick. So what you see in the photo was what I ended up getting. It was for my son's birthday I was thankful I had them make the cake the same day. It's truly the softest. Once cut we heated each piece for 15-20 seconds. Really good cake! Soft cake, with great flavor. We ordered three, and have only had the chocolate so far. The only negative is the price, but everything else with the food was fantastic! The service was good, small space inside but the lady was very friendly and helpful while we were deciding what to get. I purchased the peppermint chocolate chip and the vanilla bundtlets, for my Prince and I. I literally just finished the peppermint chocolate chip cake and it was so moist and delicious. I stopped in this little cake store when I saw it while on my way to Earthfare. They were sampling Red Velvet cake so I gave it a try. O...M....Goodness!! That cake was DELICIOUS!! The sample was large enough to get a good mouthful. I immediately bought a red velvet bundtlet, which is a miniature version of a full-size cake for $3.99. The full size cakes range in 8" and 10". You can also get custom jobs and the friendly ladies will be happy to help make your sweet dreams a reality. One teeny-tiny complaint is that they close at 5pm on Sunday! Twice I've gotten there just a little too late when planning to have guests over for Sunday dinner.... oh well, it's not their fault. Nothing Bundt Cakes is hands down my favorite cake. The flavors are always great and the cakes are always moist. The frosting brings it all together. My wife and I have been to almost every location and to "top" it off, my job orders from them monthly to celebrate office birthdays. I have had every flavor they have created and it's always hard trying to decide which one I want to get. White Chocolate Raspberry is probably my top choice. The current special flavor, Lemon Raspberry, is a strong second place. If you have never been there, they are worth a visit for sure. Make sure to grab a reward card because you will be back. Something to know for first timers, they the little cake bites, you can only get in orders of 12. The small cake size, it enough for one but it could be shared. Anything larger is just a normal cake at that point. I wish they did sell the cake bites in smaller quantities as I'm sure they would be a hit and always be sold out. Since my goal is to try all their Flo outs until my birthday so I can decided which flavor I will pick for my celebration I have been going to their stores every weekend. I normally go to the one in Tega Cay, but this time since my husband and I were hanging out in Concord so we decided to check this location out. Looks like they recently opened this store, everything is same as the others locations. Nice service, samples for the customers to try from, nice gift options and plenty of delicious cakes! This time I went with the carrot cake which was moist and very rich but it was my least favorite one, maybe because to me it was too overwhelming. All the stores has a card that every time you buy bundtines or bundlets you get a punch hole and after 12 purchases you get a free one. I normally use my card any store I go without any issue but at this store the lady said they had their own card so she could not punch mine. (???) I will probably be back even when I go again to that area but for now I will stick to the one in Teca Cay which is the closest one to me. read more
