I hired this company to do my cake for my baby shower. Originally it was to be a gender reveal but then we accidentally found out the gender so decided to change it to just a baby shower cake. I was back and forth with the owner multiple times because I kept changing my mind, she was beyond helpful and patient with me and my many changes. The cake was everything we wanted and more! I recently ordered a two tier cake for a baby shower along with chocolate covered strawberries. The bottom tier was blue velvet and the top tier was pound cake the cake was sooo delicious, and moist. Working with Lori and Calvin was a joy! I was given the task of planning the office Holiday party and wanted something with lots of options that everyone would like. I contacted Lori and was given a huge selection of items for a custom dessert bar. The choices were so plentiful, there were pies, cookies, cakes, cheesescakes, lemon squares, cake pops and more. There was truly something for everyone, and the pricing was very reasonable for all that we recieved. Communication was great. All my emails and calls were returned within the hour. Lori and Calvin were on time for set up and made a beautiful display. We had about 250 people and everyone RAVED about the desserts. Not only was the presentation spectacular, but they tasted divine! The strawberry champagne cake shooters and fresh fruit tarts were especially amazing! The desserts were the perfect size for people to pick up and take with them on the dance floor while they partied. My boss packed a to go box he loved it so much. Sweet It Is has done it again! My mother recently planned a Celebration of Life party & she wanted Sweet It Is to make all of the items for her dessert bar. The event was held this past Saturday and my mother's still receiving calls about the dessert bar. Lori packed the items and I was able to transport them from Charlotte, NC to Georgetown, SC. Not only did they arrive safely, but the desserts were fabulous!!!! It was a Mardi Gras themed party and Sweet It Is went all out to make sure that the theme was represented. There was a Mardi Gras cake as the centerpiece and the guests left with sugar cookies in the shape of Mardi Gras masks (in a variety of colors). Thank you Lori.....see you soon! read more

I don't usually write reviews but I felt very compelled to write one for SweetItIs. I contacted Lori the week of my nephews baptism to get a quote for some baptism cookies. She was so responsive and understood exactly what I wanted. She provided the quote very fast and the whole transaction was so smooth which I really appreciated since I live in Charleston SC. Later in the week, I realized I needed to order something else to go along with the cookies so I contacted her last minute and she called right back. She was able to add on a dozen cupcakes (variety) and those were delivered with my cookies with a baptism theme as well! After the delivery, she then sent me an email confirming they were delivered along with a picture of everything. They were beautiful! Everything turned out so perfect. This review is for the consultation that I had with this business. Setting up the consultation I called her and we set a date. She then asked me for my address so that she could text me her address, so I did. She texted me her address and then began to ask me a number of questions via text and send me links. I'm not going to lie, this was pretty annoying to me as i'd rather conduct business via email or over the phone. I did explain this to her however and she was nice about it and held off until our consultation. The consultation was free and was for a birthday cake so I wasn't expecting anything more than a conversation. However, I walked in and she had a spread prepared of at least 8 different cakes and a few icings. She also provided fruit infused water. I was impressed. Our conversation went well and based off the tastings I knew which flavor that I would get if I went with her. That Amaretto cake is stuff dreams are made of! I was also able to meet her husband as he stopped in to pickup a cake for a delivery. Very friendly family! I however ended up not going with her, only because I found a different baker who specializes in custom shaped and designed cakes and their details and artistic abilities surpassed. However, I would still recommend Sweet It Is for their cakes. They do beautiful designs and her cakes taste very good! She is definitely still on my list of possible bakers in the future! read more
