I heard so many horror stories regarding moving companies. When searching the internet I called approximately six, which did not make me any more comfortable. The first time I called Noteworthy they were booked. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Med and he stated that he would notify me of any cancellations. Two days later he called back and stated that they had a cancellation and if I was still interested. I had already booked with another company that was was unsure of. When speaking with Med he made me so comfortable and I new that this was the company I was going to use. Med asked all the right questions of me and was very professional. The movers arrived at my location promptly at the time specified and after reviewing the contract with me first the movers continued to move promptly. I was so shocked how fast they were moving. On Saturday 8/20/16 I used Noteworthy for the 2nd time this year and they are amazing! I have moved across this country and within CA a number of times and never have I used a more professional moving company. When people say you get what you pay for, that's 100% true with Noteworthy. First let me start by saying that the people who work here extremely punctual (7am start time). However, the day before, I was told there were going to be 3 men. There were only 2 for my 1 bedroom apartment (one of who's breath smelled like he had been drinking the night before). 5 hours later, they finally finished. I understand they had to park a little further from the condo then anticipated (condo regulations, who knew), but if the 3rd individual would have been there, it would have made it much smoother and quicker. At the end of the move, they gave me a $20 credit for damaging one of my items. I didn't realize until this morning how bad the $100+ (1 year old) clothing rack was damaged. Then I noticed a handle was missing from my favorite plastic sewing container (the most crucial part to hold it). I sent an email to try and rectify the situation and received a phone call basically saying that he doesn't know what could be done since they already gave me a credit. I feel that because the 3rd guy was a no show, I was having to pay for it. $600 later..... read more

Ken was great for the start. He was professional and set up the appointment for Mark to come and give me an estimate. That was so cool. He knew what I had in my house so my estimate was accurate and the moving guys had the right supplies on the truck. Evan, Marcus and Johnny were great movers...they made it look like art. They were more than polite, courteous and very professional. My storage unit is packed in a thoughtful way, so I can get in and out without a hassle. They moved everything out with a helpful attitude and made sure I had the best advice for my pecious items. We had two stops and they handled it as if it was one job- fast, quick and with care. They made a slight mistake and instantly fixed it. it is one thing to have everything go right but if you have a hiccup and you fix it, it demonstrates a company willing to do the right thing for the customer. I am really very pleased with the job that the crew did for us. They showed up on time, were very careful with my stuff, were professional and pleasant in every way. I didn't have to worry about anything, and I got to look into the van after the unloading was done. Their cost estimate was pretty accurate, too. Fantastic. This was as easy and painless as moving can be. They sent four professional movers to move us out of our two bedroom apartment into our new home. They even moved my piano. They arrived on time, worked quickly, and carefully wrapped all of my furniture in packing blankets and plastic wrap. Such a joy. We were unpacking in our new home in only a few short hours. At 7AM my doorbell rang - and they inspired us to be positive from that moment on. Quickly did a walk-thru with them to inspect the task at hand, they proceeded to pick-up, pack-up, and walk everything into the truck - all our household furniture, artworks, antiques and office equipment, hung our clothing in wardrobe boxes, the nicknacks, lost keys found in kitchen junk drawers, the baby crib, fridge magnets, everything. They properly packed and labeled all items for safe transport AND the guy in charge was considerate of my human condition as were each of his crew mates. Emotions. Really, together all of them managed the loading and unloading of all our furnishings AND they organized the new home room for room! like consolidated our belongings we were SO happy because they all spoke english with friendly, human skills. Smiles. We've moved ourselves three times in 8 years - with our friends in tow. Last month we had to move again and I see this Noteworthy truck in Playa Del Rey - it's white n bright n very colorful - and I call the number on the side of the truck and it's actually the best call I've made in 8 years. These cool calm and collected guys took care of ALL our stuff and swiftly - stuff that needed little care, and the really, Really VPP ValuablePersonalPossessions that require SuperDuperCare SDC- also very swiftly! The supervisor said 'We can do this for you in 8 hours' AND they all worked together to make it happen. So, I smile as I write this. Noteworthy is an athletic moving team if there is such a league and to watch them run this was awesome. They are for real. Far more real than an evening with the Blue Man Group! Noteworthy took a rather quick lunch break and so I compensated each one for that. My good - and totally worth it! Today, we consider them our friends! We had a four car garage filled to the hilt and a household to move from Glendale to Pasadena. My husband was in Australia on a business trip, so I basically was moving on my own. The owner came out gave me an estimation and was the most professional, kind (and accurate) persons that submitted a bid on our move. I had done most of the packing and they packed what I couldn't when they came. I was totally impressed with the team of guys that came and moved our 20 years of stuff. We had a particularly difficult selling and buying process that went on for months. The only shining part of our move was Noteworthy and every person who works for them. Very bad experience estimator came out and gave us an estimate of 3500.00 dollars. Showed up on time and during the day they kept telling us we are on time everything is going smoothly. At lunch they told my wife and I we need to add people in order to keep us on track. The move ended taking two days to move a 3 bedroom house from Arcadia to upland. At the end of the second day we are presented a bill for 11,000 dollars and told we have to pay. Foreman got "med" on the phone and telling him that I wasn't paying and I wanted to talk to Ken the owner he said he wasn't available. After telling I wasn't paying Ken suddenly became available and told me to write a check for an additional 1500.00 dollars and they would leave and he would call me the following day. Never called and then was threatened going to court and suing us for 11000.00 dollars unless we paid them an additional 1500.00. Unscrupulous and non professional ownership I would not recommend. read more
